Hi Everyone
I thought we should have a thread in here as so many of us have now graduated into the antenatal threads. I know that many good friendships have been made and it would be a shame to lose them because we are all due in different months.
So come on sign in!!

have a good mw appointment! honestly tho HC, i could have practically written that post myself lol. we are in exactly the same situation..only we are the ones that have to do all the work.

chat to you later xox

HopingCat · 08/08/2006 13:34

I'm back already. MW was early. I've had my bump measured for first time and baby is above the top line at the moment, so could be a big one! I didn't have blood taken, they are going to do that at 30 weeks. Heartbeat was around 130. Does anyone know if this is fast or slow?

Back to decorating, we are doing as much in the house as we can ourselves, but there are some jobs I didn't want dh doing himself, like knocking the wall down and rewiring the house. Dh decided for himself that plastering was quite a hard job so he's decided to get someone in to do that while he concentrates on wallpapering elsewhere.

Are you doing alot yourself rather than dh doing it all? I'm a bit unsure whether I should paint or sand down old paintwork. I've heard people say they won't do it, and others say they don't see what harm it can do.

wuzzlefraggle · 09/08/2006 08:18

glad to hear that all went well with your mw HC! im bang on the top line on the chart lol. 130 for the babys heartbeat is fine...i think she said that a babys heartbeat in the womb is between 120 and 160 usually, so dont worry about a thing

as for wether or not i help dh with the decorating...i like to try and do as much as i can..i get itchy feet if i sit still for too long, and i should imagine that i'll end up doing more of the babys room myself (i'm thinking of asking my sis in law to help...) tho

twinkle183 · 09/08/2006 13:35

Hello all! Just to let you know that I have had yet another scan and the baby was the right way round this time. All is well, although I will have to have a monthly scan because of my blood pressure. I have also been told that I will probably have to have a c-section, i'm not quite sure how I feel about this. They are pretty common in Spain, so I was half expecting one anyway.
Glad everyone is ok!

HopingCat · 11/08/2006 09:06

Lucy - it sounds like you are going to be seeing a lot of your baby before he/she arrives. I think I'd like more scans, but not so keen on the idea of a section. If it's for your and the baby's safety though then it's for the best. Are you going to get through all those scans without knowing the sex?

NatalieJane · 11/08/2006 12:53

Hi girls

Only a quick catch up before my paint brush dries up!!

Thanks for the update on Jen Wuzz, I have been meaning to eamil her, but just haven't had a second to do it!

Peachy, no one knows what happened with Gemma, she said she had a new job and then just dissapeared, no one has an email address for her so I guess we will never know unless she makes an appearance! Congrats on the scan though, it is so nice to have it there in front of you!!

Lucy, it sounds like you are having a pretty rough ride of it, at least it sounds like they are looking after you well, just make sure you look after yourself as well as they are!!

Hope I haven't missed anything, I really don't have time for a proper mooch through all the posts! Nothing to report here, I am 25 weeks tomorrow, which seems like a bit of a milestone for some reason?! I am supposed to be seeing the midwife sometime in the next week or so but haven't actually got round to booking it yet, might leave it for a couple of weeks, I don't like going there!!

Anyway hope everyone is doing well, and you are all lapping up the extra attention from DH's/DP's!! TC xxx

Charlee · 11/08/2006 12:58

Oh i remember so many of you! i also recognise some of you from the due Nov 06 board!

Im 25 weeks now seeing my midwife at 28 weeks for an anti D injection.

Still having to inject myself everyday which is horrible and im bruised to buggery! My blood is like water i can even cut myself shaving without having to go to a&e and have my meds reversed!

But on the bright side Babys fine growing well and merrily kicking the life out of me

HopingCat · 11/08/2006 14:07

Charlee - I didn't realised you were on the positive threads. I'm going to be a bit nosey now. Is the injecting yourself something to do with needing anti-D? I have no idea about these things and just wondered why you'd need to stick holes in yourself like this. If it's private then don't tell me and I'm sorry for asking.

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 18:08

Hi everyone

Sorry to crash this thread but i am from the ttc positive threads and was wondering if you could pop back over and post your details in the relevant month you graduated in, details are on the thread.

many thanks

Would be much appreciated

Natty1806 · 12/08/2006 09:40

Thanks to all of you who have popped over but more would be appreciated so if you have a spare minute today can you do it for me.

Thanks

Coriander73 · 12/08/2006 21:10

Hi all,

Yes Hopingcat..getter closer & getting more nervous! It's my own fault really as I've been watching too many tv births on the discovery channel etc since being on m/l!!! Plus as the last time it ended in emergency section under GA...just bringing back lots of emotion & "what if" scenarios being played in my head!! I just hope we can get DD 2nd birthday out the way on the 4th then I wont care when it arrives!!!!

Gosh it does seem like a life time away when I "graduated" from the Jan 2006 thread......

Coriander73 · 12/08/2006 21:12

BTW Peachy, glad to hear scan went well etc!!! Cannot believe there are people who are due in April on here!! I'll be back at work by then....gosh that's a depressing thought...

wuzzlefraggle · 14/08/2006 09:41

hi all! glad to hear that the scans are all going well.
welcome to any1 else thats just joined the thread
is anyone else aching lots???

oh god...im 30 weeks tomorrow lol. 10 weeks left..eeek! dh and i have started clearing out the room that will be used for the baby and im going to start the decorating etc withing the next week-ish...its all coming together slowly but surely

hope that everyone is well and that those with morning sickness are starting to feel better xoxox

wuzzlefraggle · 14/08/2006 09:42
  • within not withing obv lol
NatalieJane · 14/08/2006 10:51

Morning all

Still decorating the hall, DH got a lot of the stuff I can't do done over the weekend, (up above the stairs and the ceilings) they do want another coat but at least there is paint on every wall now!

Our plasterer came up at the weekend to look at the babies room and to tell DH what he needs to do to the room and what materials he needs to get, and the lovely man has said he will do a quick skim over one of the walls in the hall for us as well, which saves us having to put wall paper up, it is strange, all of the other walls in the hall are perfect, but this one looks like someone has had a buggy scraping against it, so it will be nice to get it all smoothed off

So, I only have to wait till about mid-September for the plastering to be done, then we can decorate the babies room, and put in the new carpet, skirting boards, window frames etc. so maybe by the end of September (if I am very lucky and my DH pulls his finger out!!!) I can get all of the babies things up in the room, and out of my dining room, I can't remember the last time we all sat down at the table for dinner!

Anyway, enough of me going on (again), must get on with the painting!

Take care everyone xxx
