Hi Everyone
I thought we should have a thread in here as so many of us have now graduated into the antenatal threads. I know that many good friendships have been made and it would be a shame to lose them because we are all due in different months.
So come on sign in!!

LOL DH likes to think he sets a budget, it mostly goes out of the window though!! I do have a set limit I spend on each person as in mum, sisters, MIL etc. but for DS, I just buy what I see I think he will like. I buy lots of little things for him because with us being so far away from family, he very rarely has things to open from other people on Christmas day, so he always has a nice pile of pressies to unwrap, I suppose this will start changing though as he get's older, and he wants things that are more expensive anyway. He has asked for a PSP this year, but he already has a Game boy and a Nintendo DS, plus he has a playstation, and the PC, I am trying to swing him in different directions!

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 16:22

yeah i see what u mean. im trying my best to work out exactly what im getting each person and see what that looks like. i aint got a clue lol i think my preg brain is mal-functioning

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 16:33

I would say don't add it up, go and take the maximum out of the bank in cash that you want to spend, and don't go a penny over it, that way, you will find that everyone does have a pressie, that you haven't gone over your limit, and it is all done in one go - but take DH with you, you will need him to carry it all

The biggest worry I have this year is the tree, we always used to have a real tree, then we bought a lovely big fake one from M&S thinking it would last years and be lovely, but the next year when I got it out (which was last year) it just looked awful, so I chucked it out thinking we would go back to having a real one, but, if the baby comes two weeks late, I am not going to be in any fit state to be choosing trees and decorating them! But at the same time, it just isn't the same with out a real tree.

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 16:39

we use a fake tree, i admit it i find it much easier. another thing to think about with using a real tree is the pine needles. if you do go over your dates, could you be bothered to be cleaning them up all the time?

i think im going to have a looky at some new xmas ornaments and xmas candles too this year...

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 16:48

Yeah, I don't clear them up until we take the tree down which strangly enough, keeping in mind I am Mother Christmas before the big day, if I had my way, the tree would be gone on Boxing day! LOL I hate it, I only keep it up a bit longer for DS's sake but OMG it annoys me once it is all over! I think it is because there is such a long run up to Chirstmas that once the day has finished, I have just had enough of it all!

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 16:54

yeah i know what u mean there...i love the run up and the day, but after the day actually arrives, its over really isnt it?

play.com is excellent for xmas pressies. it can easily spend hours looking through stuff on there

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 16:58

OMG I ordered a CD for part of my nephews birthday pressie from there today! I love it, it is so easy and cheap!! I daren't look at the order history page anymore though, it is a pretty big list!! LOL

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 16:59

And Amazon is the same, I have actually had to stop myself going on there

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 17:01

lol, in the dvds section, if u click on bargains, u can choose on how cheep a bargain u want too!! i love the gadgets stuff too. its a brill website and you save sooooo much! ok, i need to caaaaalm down lol

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 17:13

every so often my stomache goes rock solid and feels pressurised

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:13

LOL, I like it as well, because you can get lots of old things, like old albums and things that the shops don't sell anymore, I have gotten some of R Kelly's very early CD's from Play.com, can't get them anywhere else with out paying for the privaledge (sp? that looks so wrong, but can't think how it can be wrong!!)

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:14

LMAO Wuzz, that came from nowhere! LOL

I would guess at braxton hicks, is it painful or just uncomfortable?

peachygirl · 10/10/2006 17:14

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:20

LOL Peachy, there is that word again 'organised', it keeps cropping up, and I still have no idea what it means...!!!

Deffo sounds like BH Wuzz Does it feel like the baby is sticking her bum out at a funny angle?

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:22

EDD is 25th Nov. so six and a half weeks-ish.

wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 17:23

yeah it does, it feels like theres literally no room and everything goes tight, so tight that walking andstanding is really uncomfortable

yeah, must admit, im really excited now peachy. how were the aqua natal classes????

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:26

Yep, BH, make the most of them, the more you get the more prepared for the real thing you will be!

peachygirl · 10/10/2006 17:27

I am now 21 weeks. Baby due on the 19th feb.
The aqua natal was good, quite funny really. floating on woggles with our legs in the 'birth position' stretching them out and at the end we all gathered round to do our pelvc floor exercises!!
I thought the pool (Crystal Palace sports centre) and corridors etc were very dirty though, I will take flip flops next week

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 10/10/2006 17:31

how has your pregnancy been peachy?

so the BH is a good thing then is it?

NatalieJane · 10/10/2006 17:31

Must admit, if I could reach certain places to get rid of ahem.... shall I say unwanted hair, floating about in a swimming pool, especially if it was the warm baby pool, would be heavenly at the moment!!!
