Hi Everyone
I thought we should have a thread in here as so many of us have now graduated into the antenatal threads. I know that many good friendships have been made and it would be a shame to lose them because we are all due in different months.
So come on sign in!!

NatalieJane · 27/09/2006 09:26

Awww it is lovely to hear from you Cori! Thanks for the update

Wuzz I have only seen the MW twice, once at booking in (that seems like years ago, I thought the time had flown by but looking back it is ages ago!!) and once at 17 weeks, if I can make it to 36 weeks with out having to go again I will be pleased with myself!!

I am off to get back into bed, I have a migrain and I think I managed about an hour and a half of sleep last night - I'm shattered!! TC everyone xxx

wuzzlefraggle · 28/09/2006 21:51

hi everyone

hope that you are all doing well !

nat - sometimes i think that it would be less of a worry all round being pregnant without all of the midwife appointments (iyswim) but then knowing me, id just sit there worrying if it wasnt an option lol

laughalot - been yonks since you've posted...you fallen in the loo or sumthing??

time is starting to drag now and im an achy, grumpy, unsociable, unreasonable, sleepy mess lol

HopingCat · 29/09/2006 13:25

Wuzzle, sorry that time is starting to drag. I know what you mean, and I've still got over 5 weeks left to wait. Next week is October though, so I bet loads of people on your thread start having babies and it will all get very exciting and very real. I've been waiting for it to get more real. I've been round to my friend's house a couple of times, and her ds is 10 days old now, but somehow it still seems odd to see her with a baby. It's clearly taking me a while to accept that things have changed, but she says she hasn't really accepted it yet either.

Coriander73 · 29/09/2006 13:47

Have posted a pic of Jack...

NatalieJane · 29/09/2006 15:34

What a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous boy!!! You are very lucky Cori!!

Wuzz and HC sorry the time is slowing down, it is the worst bit, for the rest of the pregnancy you are taken over by the thought of the birth, and the new baby, and buying things, and getting ready, then you hit the stage where you feel awful, everything is ready, you're not even bothered about having to give birth now, you just want to meet your little baby, I am dreading getting to that point!!

Off to my mums for the weekend in a bit, so if I don't catch you again, have a good one, and TC everyone xxx

NatalieJane · 05/10/2006 10:09

I had forgotten about this thread - seems everyone else has as well!!

Quick update from me, we bought the travel system at the weekend, we went for the micralite one with the maxi-cosi carseat in the end, it isn't the nicest looking pushchair in the world (although the more I see of it, the more it is growing on me!) but it is so practical, and just suits our needs down to the ground, and with it having the carrycot with it, it just seems nicer for a newborn in November/December, all snuggled up

Other news is, I thought I was going into labour on Tuesday, OK I maybe overstating the facts but I did have two, count them TWO proper full blown contractions , and loads of lovely discharge with a very pale pinkish tinge to it, brought the whole giving birth thing back to reality, I am shitting it now!! LOL

Come Saturday I will have 7 weeks left, sounds way too close for comfort!! Even worse when I think if I go two weeks early it is only 5 weeks, feels a bit better when I think two weeks late leaves me with 9 weeks!! That's nice, 9 weeks away, not too close, not too far!! LOL

So who is next on the popping list? Is it Wuzz?? HC??? I can't remember now... in fact I will go and drag the stats list up from the bottom of the thread

NatalieJane · 06/10/2006 09:19

Wow, I am very smilie today

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 11:11

well, it will be up and running by sunday coz dh and his sisters partner will be doing all the donkey work this weekend lol.

yeah, tell me about it. you hit the nail on the head with how ive been feeling.

so how,ve you been?? long time no chat lol

NatalieJane · 06/10/2006 11:32

I am half way between being really really really excited and being really really really scared TBH!! It isn't the birth itself, it is what the hell am I going to do with DS, what if DH isn't anywhere near, what if I am on my own, what if it is only me and DS.... it goes on and on! And no doubt after all the worrying I will go at 2 in the morning with neighbours ready and waiting to have DS for us, I honestly don't know what we will do if if it is any different!

(I really shouldn't be here, don't let me stay long!!)

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 12:04

why shouldnt you be here nat??

yeah, it is a huge wory, isnt it? im more annoyed at how much i ache and wanting to sleep all the bloddy time lol.

NatalieJane · 06/10/2006 13:01

LOL I am on a mega house clear up, except I have reached a point where there is absolutely no point doing anything else because DH is finishing the decorating in the hall this weekend (if he doesn't get called out for work) so I can't get things properly tidied up until then.

I have three loads of washing lined up on the kitchen floor LOL If I leave it there, I might just get round to doing some washing, if I put it where it should be, it will stay there and multiply no doubt!! I have already put 2 loads on this morning, can you tell how far behind I have gotten with the general housework since all the decorating started?!!

Have you thought about what you are going to do for Christmas for the baby?

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 13:17

lol. u go girl!

to be honest ive not got a clue...xmas day we always go to my grandparents house and have a family meal which id like to stay the same. so it will be me, dh,my dad, stepmum, grandmother, great uncle and the baby is that what you meant?? as for present, i aint got a clue...what do u buy for a 2 month old?
oh, and after the big xmas meal thingy which is usually from about 12:30pm till 4:30 (ish) pm we go to sil's house till about 9 (or when ever lol). as for dh's father, well i dont give a shiney shite coz i cant stand him, but he deff doesnt see us on xmas day
god my lifes far too complicated lol

NatalieJane · 06/10/2006 13:30

LMAO Something tells me I shouldn't mess with 'The Wuzz'!!!

We will be at home just the 4 of us!! I love Christmas day, I know it sounds really unseasonal and horrible but I couldn't stand either us being somewhere different, or anyone else being here in the day, sometimes our nextdoor neighbours come round for a drink in the evening, which I can handle, but would hate to have visitors all day!! LOL Nasty cowbag aren't I?!!!

But I was asking about presents, it was easier with DS, he was born in the March so he was 9 months for his first christmas, and there wasn't much we couldn't buy him! But, really don't know what to do this time, the baby could be as little as a week and a half old! Don't want to not do anything for him, it is afterall christmas and his first one, but it just doesn't seem worth doing much, but will then feel guilty for DS having more than the baby.... argh!!!! LOL

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 13:41

LMAO !!! naaah you aint being a nasty cowbay, it sounds lovely being the 4 of you on xmas day

im stumped too about the presents for the baby thing. theres not really that much that can be bought for really little ones, well, apart from teddys lol. im sure we'll figure something out. think i should start browsing babies'r'us or something

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 13:42

lol i meant cowbag

NatalieJane · 06/10/2006 13:49

I suppose, to get a few thing like teddies and rattles (although I already have a room, that is supposed to be a nursery, full of them up there) and then get some things for when they are older, maybe from like 6 months+, or that way too much forward planning?!!!

It will also be a pain in the arse because my family always ask what DS wants before getting it, so they aren't getting him something he already has, so they have all already asked me what to get 'The Boyz' () How am I supposed to know what they can get, when I don't even know what we are getting?!!!

wuzzlefraggle · 06/10/2006 13:59

sounds like a lot of brian strain already!! just tell them that you'll let them know when you know yourself or something.

have u had any "heated debates" with your parents or in-laws over certain things you do or teach with the babys upbringing?? the worst one here has been with my grandmother (shes fantastic, but this wears incredibly thin now) she's been nagging at me about religion like mad. basically, me and dh dont want to bring the baby up with any kind of religion.the way we see it, when she's old enough she can make up her own mind and we'll be fine with whatever she decides. grandmother seems to think that we should do the whole chrisianity thing regardless and goes on and on about it. the issue is pretty much sorted out now (admittedly, i lost my cool a little and ended up telling her in no uncertain terms what would be and wouldnt be happening, and that she was not to do or teach things on the subject behind our back etc), but have you had anything annoying like this go on at all??

(sorry its such a lengthy post)
