Hi Everyone
I thought we should have a thread in here as so many of us have now graduated into the antenatal threads. I know that many good friendships have been made and it would be a shame to lose them because we are all due in different months.
So come on sign in!!

Hi everyone...

Thanks for all your kind messages & congratulations I have a few quiet minutes whilst Jack is sleeping just to say I'm trying to keep up-to-date with both Sep & this thread but it's quite difficult given the complete lack of sleep at present!! I'll endeavour to read as much as I can every day..but I'm thinking of you all

For the gory details..I've posted on the birth annoucements

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 16:28

cori, its great to hear from you!! glad that alls well and good. i shall make sure to read your thread on the birth anouncements bit lovely name too.

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 16:32

ooops, sorry Cori, I read your post on here and then rushed straight over to the birth announcemnets, without leaving you a message here!!

Very well done Now the really hard work begins!!

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 16:42

hey nat!

remember the girl that was on my antenatal thread briefly called kat? (14, had a baby at 28 weeks that turned out to be blue instead of pink, is now in hospital, was allowed home with baby after a few days and is now thinking of going on hols with baby)
turns out she could be trolling....i feel like a right idiot. theres a thread on it in the chat section called "think ive found a troll". unfortunatly it makes a lot of sense...

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 16:47

I know Wuzz, I have been watching it unravel for the last couple of hours. Poor person whoever it is, obviously has issues somewhere along the line!

Anyway, how are you? how's it going?

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 16:54

must be something seriously wrong if they can bring it in themselves to make up lies like that...theres people on here that have touble concieving/cant concieve and then others that can happily make stories up and string us all along..its horrible

im good thanks (apart from the aching and peeing lol). hows u? its my sis in laws birthday today so me and dh are off to see her a little later i think

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 17:04

I know what you mean, shouldn't think those that have had a premmie are best pleased, but, still can't help feeling a bit sorry for someone who would go to all that trouble for a lie.

I am still trying to work out if we should go down to mums when she gets back from her hols or not... really can't decide!

I am getting lots of funny little niggly pains the last few days, I think he is starting to really struggle for room.

Have you started anything like raspberry leaf tea? The girls are starting to talk about it on my AN thread.

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 17:08

if you dont mind about where the babys born, then i think you should do exactly as you please sorry, i meant to say something about this when i first posted, but got a bit side-tracked by that thread.

yeah i think the baby is getting a little cramped for space too. what is the tea meant to do??

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 17:15

Well, I'm told it helps the uterus to contract more effectively, making for a shorter labour, some seem to swear by it, others don't think much of it. Apparently the tablets are supposed to be better than the tea, more potent I think (gallons of tea equals same ammount of tablet IYSWIM?!)

I was trying to find out when the best time is to start taking it, can't seem to get a definate answer anywhere!

...Now to get round DH's fear of driving me 200+ miles while in labour!

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 17:18

no way am i taking any then...i want this one incubating until my kitchen gets here lol (well the oven, hob and hood as thats all thats left). ahhh well, what will be will be i guess.

ah..you dh aint too keen on the idea is he? bribe him maybe?

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 17:29

I am quite happy to wait till 36 weeks, from then on I am going to try anything and everything to get him out!!

DH isn't keen on the idea of not being at home when I start, he doesn't really understand what I am worried about though. I have visions of me going into labour at 2pm, DS would be at school, DH 3 hours drive away at work, and the baby coming out while I am all on my own, with no one to pick DS up.... it scares the shit out of me to be blunt! DH says things like 'but how likely is that to happen?' or 'don't be silly you won't give birth that quickly' but the fact is that I am just as likely to go into labour at 2pm as I am at 2am, and with it being my second, and my first labour being quick anyway, I could go very quickly.... ARGHHHHHH!!!!

...it's not working.....

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 17:44

ah, i understand what u mean nat...have you tried to explain all this to him??

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 17:50

Yep, and whilst I can see that he is trying to make it sound OK (probably to stop him worrying about it, and then setting me off big style - if he starts to panic, my rock has gone!) it doesn't actually help the situation.

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 17:59

eeee, so your in a bit of a pickle then by the sounds...nat in these sircumstances though, you need to do what you feel the most comfortable with and try to get your dh to just take it that u would rather be there than at home and that sometimes its just best not to argue with a pregnant lady

NatalieJane · 21/09/2006 18:03

It isn't even really that I want to be there rather than here, I realise that at 36/37 weeks I could go into labour but we will more than likely be coming home without having to use a baby car seat! I wouldn't make arrangements to have LO down there instead of up here or anything, I just wouldn't be worried if that did happen, whereas DH doesn't want to go that late in case it does happen IYSWIM?!

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 18:11

aaaah, i see what u mean. your not bothered about the possibility of having the baby if thats what happened whilst you were there, but he is worried that it might happen and would rather be at home

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2006 18:28

i have to be going now nat, i'll catch up with you tomorrow or something i expect. got to get myself ready to go to sister in laws

take care xox

NatalieJane · 22/09/2006 09:18

Sorry Wuzz, bloody internet playing up again, it seems fine for most of the day come 6 o'clock it gives up for some reason!

I hope your SIL's went well

wuzzlefraggle · 22/09/2006 10:44

no probs nat

yeah sister in laws went well. only stayed for an hour.

did you see that programme on tv last night about people that smack? it was called "i smack and im proud" i think...

NatalieJane · 22/09/2006 13:52

No, I stay well away from programs that I know will piss me off! LOL

I have got MTV base on, it is a Whitney .v. Bobby hour special LOL Bobby Brown, jumping about in lycra jump suits and braces PMSL Can't believe he used to look so sexy when we were growing up!! LOL

wuzzlefraggle · 22/09/2006 14:18

you made the right choice to stay away from that programme, it was horrible.

lol, i tend to keep kerrang on in the background they tend to play a lot of chili peppers, nirvana, aerosmith, green day etc etc etc etc

I think Im going to get dh to watch donnie darko tonight...he still hasnt seen it and we picked it up in asda yesterday on dvd for £3!! i rekon its a good one, so i was pleased with the fab bargain (we got the thomas crown affair for £3 too!!never seen that one tho)

NatalieJane · 22/09/2006 14:40

Did you have another ante-natel class yesterday? (Was it Thursday last week?)

wuzzlefraggle · 22/09/2006 14:53

me and dh decided to give up on the antenatal classes. to be honest, i just couldnt be bothered to go lol. are you going to go at all?

im going to have to shoot now and do some tidying i think. have a nice weekend! (i'll probably post over the weekend anyways) xox

NatalieJane · 22/09/2006 15:17

LOL You sound like me, we didn't make it to even the first one last time!!

I don't know when or where they are this time, I suppose I would know if I'd have seen the midwife!! LOL

Have a good weekend, we have the carpet to fit and the furniture to put in his room, and then if we get time, DH is going to paint the kitchen ceiling for me, so I can get on with the walls next week! I love being able to take my last few weeks nice and easy! TC xxx

HopingCat · 25/09/2006 13:21

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

How many weeks have we each got left now? I know Wuzzle is close (4 weeks?) and I've got 6 weeks.
