toby what a horrible dream!!!

frying there seem to have been quite a few of us reaching for pads these last couple of weeks.... hope its just pregnajuice....

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 21/11/2013 13:03

loulou you poor darling, how scary. Hope the antib's can sort you out. If it is a water/kidney infection, you have every ounce of my sympathy - I had one once in college and was screaming in pain, convinced it was an ectopic pregnancy. Never been in such agony.

quacko ouch - are you able to rest up? I'd def think about taking tomorrow off - we are all getting to the stage where we need to be on top form for labour and newborns.

nature hope you are sleeping soundly.

MrsA how exciting! We're still wavering - have to go and tour Lewisham hospital & birth unit - if they seem good (i.e. the hospital is where I'd transfer if required) we might join you in the home birth club (eek!)

MrsV it was honestly like a miracle. I was Hmm at the diagnosis - it did NOT feel acid-y at all, but the pain went within minutes. Must learn to trust doctors and not be such a know it all.

space ta for hugs, how are you doing? I will probably only nibble the Cake so there will be extra left for you Grin

sultana do you need a pregnancy onesie? So you can get up and stay warm at the same time? Sexah... Grin

frying hope it is pregnajuice, must be pretty scary.

toby welcome to the madness club. I am SURE DH is going to die or be terribly hurt every time he does anything other than sit around with a cup of tea. The paranoia is appalling. He was hanging curtains in the nursery this morning, and I had to drag myself in there to watch, as if I could somehow stop something bad happening to him with the power of my mind Hmm. Hugs.

Feeling much recovered today, but weak like a newborn kitten. The last time I was this pathetic, I'd had a two week bout of flu. I literally can barely stand. I managed half a yoghurt and some more Lucozade Sport, which is apparently my new tipple of choice. By tonight I'm allowed to try solid food again - oh the excitement.

another how are you doing today?

AnotherStitchInTime · 21/11/2013 13:27

choco I hope they can get you some decent pain relief and anti-b's soon x

humpty glad the gaviscon helped.

toby, those terrifying pregnancy dreams that stay with you all day are awful.

space how are you holding up? X

My sympathies to all of you suffering with illness, aches, pains and lack of sleep. As space said Cake all round.
I am ok, still waiting to speak to docs. Had an awful nights sleep as I had the double whammy of sharing my room with a loud newborn and a lady in labour. My due date buddy in here had her baby by c-section earlier today at 30 weeks. It could be me soon, a scary thought.

enormouse · 21/11/2013 14:07

choco and mythree thinking of you both. Flowers and hugs.
toby pregnancy dreams are terrifyingly realistic. Cake for you.
In fact as another said cake all round seems to be in order.

I want to throttle DP right now. I am so unbelievably pissed off with him. His dopey friend arrived to stay till Tuesday, last night. With a second dopey friend arriving on saturday. After the last stressful visit from the pair I asked him not to invite them whilst I was pregnant. Went behind my back and did it anyway.

They played PlayStation/xbox/whatever it was till 2am and made loads of noise getting to bed, waking teething DS up in the process. Dp then brought ds in to our bed and he fell asleep on top of me, DP of course nodded off himself. I was seething with irritation till about 4 when I put DS in his own bed, went downstairs and just removed the entire game unit and hid it.

Turns out DP has an old PlayStation 2 and 1 so they're playing that now instead. Dp has had an adolescent strop with me as I removed the beer he wanted for the guys from our online grocery order . I pointed out I was planning to do this before I put the order through (which he agreed to) and would buy it separately when his second friend arrived (have a delivery pass from asda). Cue full on tantrum about it and me annoyed, in tears and stressed out yet again. He did it in front of the bemused asda man for fucks sake.

More irritatingly before friend 1 arrived DP made a big song and dance of doing something nice with me for part of saturday which he has now gone back on as he can't possibly abandon the pair of twazzocks. Clearly it will eat into the 24 hour, almost week long beer and game playing fest he's planned.

Sorry about how lengthy this has turned out but it's made me feel better to write it out

Eggless cake Cake for me I think. Cake for eveyone.

MrsGSR · 21/11/2013 14:20

choco I hope you're feeling beget by now, and are being well looked after.

enormouse I would be very Angry too! I hope your day improves!

BandontheFun · 21/11/2013 14:37

Choco and Mythree thinking of u both and anyone else who is having a crappy time! :)

Speaking of dreams I dreamt last night that my baby fell out when I was on the toilet, I didn't notice until I flushed so then had to putt my arm in to catch it, before it flushed away! Then had to go to hospital where the baby had one massive eye and its foot was broken from the fall into the toilet! Really creeped me out! No wonder I didn't sleep we'll last night! Pregnancy dreams really are strange.

AnotherStitchInTime · 21/11/2013 14:55

May I suggest enormouse that you book yourself into a spa hotel next weekend and leave DP with ds as penance. I would be fuming if DH did the same.

band baby down the toilet dreams seem to be really common, I had one of those with dd2. Very freaky at the time.

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 16:14

another wow its all happening your end, with your room mate and due date buddy. Am very impressed with how calm you sound....

enormouse I cheered when I read you had hidden his games console! Grin What a fucker he has spares! I second the spa weekend idea! Angry

Anyone else feel as though their pelvis is about to split in half at the front and feel as though bubs is bumping against your bladder with every step? Good times! Grin

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 16:17

humpty a preggers onesie! Grin If your bug is anything like mine was, expect to feel pathetic and weak for the next 2-3 days, but at least the vomming has stopped! Grin

enjoyingscience · 21/11/2013 16:26

tried to post earlier and it wouldn't work!

Sorry to everyone having a shitty time today - get well soon loulou

I had a call from the vendors of the house we tried to buy that fell through this morning (it fell through because we were gazumped. We accepted a lower offer on our own house to try and get it through more quickly for them, and had paid for searches, surveys etc - they have literally cost us thousands with their greedy fuckwittery). Their new buyer has pulled out, and they wanted to know if we were still interested. Karma eh! If they had stuck with us we would be moved by now.

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 16:29

enjoying what goes around....! Are you gonna take them up?

enjoyingscience · 21/11/2013 16:39

No, we're most of the way through another purchase now, and our buyer would freak out if we messed around now. I'd have such a bad feeling living there now too, with all the rubbish they put us through. Is it awful that's I'm pleased? It is, isn't it!

Naturegirl82 · 21/11/2013 16:49

Well what I intended to be a quick lie down has turned into a full afternoon sleep Blush Hope I still manage to sleep tonight.

Naturegirl82 · 21/11/2013 16:53

Sorry your dh is being a pratt enormous I would be livid with dh if he did the same. Did he not ask where the games console had gone or wonder why??

enjoying I'm pleased on your behalf and also think you are doing the decent thing not pulling out. We had a buyer pull out at the last minute (literally about to exchange contracts which I know they are entitled to do) and it was the most stressful time of my life.

Naturegirl82 · 21/11/2013 16:54

Sorry about all the weird preggo dreams. No weird baby dreams here yet but I think I might be hungry as dreamt of pizza all afternoon!

fryingpantoface · 21/11/2013 16:56

I think it's just preggo juice, not waters which is good.

your oh is being a Pratt, I'm sorry mouse

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 17:10

nature you obviously really needed your nap! Hope you sleep tonight too.....

enjoying I am not surprised and its normal to feel a bit "serves you right" about the whole thing!

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 17:17

frying thats a relief!

Off for a girly night tonight round my mates. Taking a chick flick with me, having pizza and a girly gossip. What could be better? Just hope I dont fall asleep....Blush

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 21/11/2013 17:25

I'm in the paranoia club too - DH went for a run last night and was 20 mins longer than usual. I must have been out the front door looking up the road every two minutes, and then burst into tears when he walked in, sweaty and bewildered.

Sorry to everyone feeling awful, and extra cake to those in hospital.

Nursery was closed early due to severe weather warnings today, and DH had a day off so we all went for lunch in the mall and spent a while browsing for Christmas bits. Barely made it out - my feet were crippled, belly was so tight and pointy, back was so sore... I feel like a total wreck after browsing the shops for an hour or so. I'm lying on the sofa feeling like I've been run over, with horrible heartburn, trying to decide what I can eat. I shouldn't be moaning when everyone else is suffering more, I know.

quackojuliet · 21/11/2013 17:27

enormouse what a tosspot. You definitely need to serve some revenge up, actions not just words! Men are so stupid sometimes sorry for the sexism.
Well we have another antenatal class tonight, its been a bumper week. I'm basically sleepwalking as it is.
Pain in lower back is definitely worse when I slouch or get up from the floor/bed/bath so funnily enough I feel ok at work where I am standing, sitting and walking a lot with not much resting (I'm a teacher)
Just 8 more working days for me to go! I am going to put a reminder sticker or something in my car so I can celebrate each next day I tick off.
Want a massage haircut pedicure and manicure!! The question is how ill pay for them...

Felix90 · 21/11/2013 17:32

Hi ladies! Ok it feels like I'm massively butting in here but does anyone mind if I join in? Due 8th Jan with our first, a girl.

Bit of background (if anyone's even bothered), I am 23 (partner is 24) and live in Leeds city centre. Currently signed off work due to crippling SPD but apart from that everything seems to be fine and dandy. So bored not being at work and trying to get out of the habit of spending all day in my pyjamas watching Jeremy Kyle...

TobyLerone · 21/11/2013 17:37

Hi felix :) 8th Jan is my mum's birthday. Also David Bowie's and Elvis's. A good day to have a baby!

enormouse, your DP is clearly a fuckwit. I 3rd/4th/whatever the spa idea!

Felix90 · 21/11/2013 17:40

Thanks Toby! Never knew about the Bowie/Elvis connection (must admit I'm more impressed by Bowie). My boyfriend will be pleased to hear that!

fryingpantoface · 21/11/2013 18:06

Welcome Felix. Just dive straight into the crazy!

mil picked ds up after nursery today, she's lovely. I called to find out when she was returning him and she offered to have him overnight. I made clear it was entirely up to her and she said that they'd have him tonight.
Part of me is happy she is having ethan another part feels so guilty. She had him Mon 11am until Tues 3pm, she picked him up today at 1, will be bringing him back tomorrow and then having him on Saturday. Oddly it feels like I've not seen ds. She is totally fine and she suggested it, so i shouldn't feel bad right?
