hope you feel better soon humpty

I don't think transverse / breach at 32 weeks is a problem, as she still has space to move. Just found it funny that the midwives were sure she was head down and I was sure I was being head butted in the ribs.

She was being stubborn though, the hospital where trying to get a clear 3d veiw of her face and she was hidden between the placenta and the cord. They manged to move the view and then she hid behind her hands. So our daughter Smile

AnotherStitchInTime · 20/11/2013 21:31

Sorry to hear about your news mythree, I hope they will sort out treatment quickly for you. My 87 year old granny had a skin cancer removed from her lip recently and it was all fine.

MrsGSR · 20/11/2013 21:43

Hope you feel better soon humpty

I think baby's head is near my right hip, it's really hard there, very uncomfortable and hurts if I move to fast which I think is because of stretching?

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/11/2013 21:57

Hmm, well the Gaviscon did help, so I stand corrected - apparently it can be reflux even when it doesn't feel acidy...

As for lie, mine is still somersaulting like a good un. Get kicked in bladder and ribs almost evenly Grin - haven't officially been told the lie by mw yet, but since I'm sure it's changing I'm not too worried.

Frizz1986 · 20/11/2013 22:18

I have no idea where mine is lying. My bump just seems to jiggle all over and i get kicks everywhere too, don't know how any of you can tell whats going on in there and midwife is never totally sure either!

Naturegirl82 · 20/11/2013 22:35

I think I'm a bit weird in that I have only ever felt two kicks this whole pregnancy. Baby has been head down and facing my back since 20 week scan I think. Pretty sure she is still that way. The movements I feel are more wobbles and random hard bits poking out.

GummiBear74 · 20/11/2013 22:36

Oh mythree, that's such an awful shock. I hope this is something that they can sort out quickly.

Last week, my midwife squidged my belly for a few seconds, then said 'there's a head here and a bottom here'. It coincided exactly with where the scan had shown her to be 3 weeks before. Since I'm still getting lumps and kicks in the same places, fingers crossed that she's staying put head down where she should be!

Saying that, she seemed to do a massive leap earlier on and my whole bump moved loads. How does someone who's effectively standing on their head jump in the air? Confused

TarkaTheOtter · 20/11/2013 22:47

I also had a growth scan today (32 weeks) baby is breech with bum down and legs up by its head which explains why I have been feeling kicks high up. Otherwise it's growing fine and they said definitely still lots of time for it to move.

extracrunchy · 21/11/2013 00:21

Mine's head down and 3/5 engaged according to consultant this morning. Shitting myself! (Not literally. Yet.)

fryingpantoface · 21/11/2013 04:11

I'm awake and not happy about it. All was going well, had a 40 min power nap around 5, then hate tea. Went to bed easily at 10 and now I'm wide awake. Debating what to do with myself. If i stay in bed I'll be warm but will just get mad if i cant get back to sleep. If i get up ill walk downstairs and probably feel shattered so will sleep on the sofa.

it's ds's nursery parents evening tonight, that should be fun. Never been to one before so not sure what to expect.

Hello ladies. I'm in hospital :'( one minute I was fine then the next I was getting horrendous pains. Not quite like labour pains but were coming in waves so that wasn't a good sign. Thought it was just a water infection as also got pain and uncomfortable feeling in bladder and feel like I desperately needed to pee all the time. Went against my instincts and tried to sleep it off but woke up about 1am in absolute agony. Pain was terrible. Rang 111 for advice and as soon as they heard me they sent ambulance. Had to call my parents to sit with the girls as oh came with me too. Been on a monitor. Baby ok. Am not contracting but they have tested urine which shows infection and high amount of blood apparently. They concerned about my kidneys as have pain in my lower back and is so tender to touch. Am on labour ward hearing lots of screaming ladies and babies crying. Waiting for internal examination and blood tests to see if i need to be admitted or sent home with antibiotics. I was fine this morning. Even had a midwife appointment and urine was checked then and was fine. Am rly stressing. Have no hospital bag ready. My girls school uniform not ready for morning. Im wishing i had got more organised. Wanna go home :(

TobyLerone · 21/11/2013 06:48

Shock loulou! You poor thing.
Hope they sort you out soon, and in the meantime let me know if there's anything I can do. Seeing as you're local and all!

quackojuliet · 21/11/2013 07:22

loulou and mythree, sending lots of warm wishes and hoping your issues will pass quickly and be easily treatable.

I am very tired but feel like a brat for complaining with others going through such stuff. I've got terrible pain in my right lower back, sacrolilliac joint I think. Trying to pull through this week at work without a day off but will take off tomorrow if it gets too much.

Take care all

Toothfairy78 · 21/11/2013 07:35

Oh goodness, looks like it's not been a good night.

loulou I hope they diagnose you quickly and fix you up ASAP. You must be really stressed poor thing! Hugs.

humpty get well soon!

fryingpantoface · 21/11/2013 07:42

Oh my gosh loulou you poor thing!

Don't worry about the hospital bag, same about the uniform. Someone else will sort out both

OP posts:
Frizz1986 · 21/11/2013 07:50

choco oh no. Hopefully they get you on some meds and send you home. Dont stress about uniforms or hospital bags right now. They are simple enough things for someone else to sort/help with. Concentrate on yourself.

MrsVDB · 21/11/2013 07:53

Oh dear loulou hope your ok. I had a kidney infection when I wasn't pregnant and it was awful, I was on all 4s thinking I was in labour and must of missed the fact I was pregnant! The anti b did clear it up pretty quickly so hope yours goes quickly too

Midwife told me don't worry about how they're lieing until 36w. Next apt for me is tomorrow but at doctors and don't trust her to say how he's led given last time she just looked and said looks like he's head down. Then wrote that in my notes. Even midwife had to have a good prod to find out

Naturegirl82 · 21/11/2013 08:28

Oh loulou hope they can find out what is wrong quickly and give you something to help.

I feel a bit of a fraud given what other people are experiencing but I'm taking today off sick. I literally could not get out of bed I'm that tired and glands are swollen. A day at home sleeping I think will do me a world of good.

MrsAVB · 21/11/2013 08:47

Ohh...
loulou, three, humpty and anyone else who needs it - sending you lots of love and prayers - I'm not generally the praying sort but love just doesn't seem enough sometimes!
Can't remember anything else really sorry!
We've decided to aim for a home birth, I feel so much better about everything since we've changed our minds and midwife is happy, which is also reassuring that they are not worried about baby after the last scary scan. Re. lie of the baby... my midwife has written in my notes the last two appointments (31 and 34 weeks) that it's cephalic (head down) so hopefully it will stay that way!
Have a good day all
X

extracrunchy · 21/11/2013 08:50

For some reason my posts disappear when I send them...
Choco I hope you're ok and they help quickly!

MrsVDB · 21/11/2013 08:52

humpty I had that similar pain a few weeks ago and pharmacist gave me gaviscon too. I was dubious as pain felt too low but it worked and hadsnt been back since those couple of days. Hopefully yours goes quickly too

Spacefrog35 · 21/11/2013 09:24

Hugs & Cake all round.

Sultanajo · 21/11/2013 10:15

choco poor you hun! How miserable! Really hope you dont have to stay in and they fix u up quickly....

humpty I feel your pain! What a horrible night for you - how are you feeling this morning?

mythree hope you are doing ok today after your news yesyerday. Hugs!

nature (I think it was u....) I too was awake most of the night again, debating the same thing as you - do I stay in bed warm but frustrated or do I get up in the cold and risk being even more knackered....? DH is really on a snoreathon at the moment which is not helping, plus I suspect bubs giving a few wriggles is waking me too.... Thankfully didnt have to get up early, so once DH had got up, I finally got a couple of hours sleep. Am out tonight so as much as I hate napping I may have to have one later, or I wont be able to stay awake! Wink

fryingpantoface · 21/11/2013 10:16

Ouch, it's not a good time for us preggo wimmin at the moment!

Preggo juice has stepped up. Was convinced it's my water. So have got a pad on to check.
