Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Blamenargles · 24/11/2013 15:27

Can I join, POAS this morning and BFP. It's #2 for us excited, scared and feeling guilty already DS is 3 in jan,
I think due date is 1st august but only had a 2 day period last month but think my body was still getting back to normal after the mirena!

Symptoms well I was 3 days late today, iv been having really broken sleep, can't stop weeing, can't stop eating, heartburn and so constipated Confused I'm like clock work so it's killing me Blush

ItchyBodCrane · 24/11/2013 16:17

Hi Guys! Congrats to all of you!

Excited to be expecting #1 after nearly 18 months of trying... I'm 38 so a few hurdles to overcome before we can feel settled. Due date is 29th July according to last AF but I think I might have ovulated a bit late as this cycle I had my HSG and a week after I thought I had ovulated I had the transvaginal ultrasound (aka dildo cam) and the ultrasound lady said she could see I had a ovulated. Can you tell 7 days after the event? Wish I had asked now. D'oh! Maybe the HSG delayed it.

Anyway, ultrasound picked up 'classic' PCOS on one ovary so I was feeling down but then AF never came despite cramps, my boobs suddenly went off the charts and so I POAS yesterday (and today) and voila. It's still setting in - we've been trying for a while and given my age I was not hopeful.

ItchyBodCrane · 24/11/2013 16:22

Also, as an added complication, we are moving house (not far but to a different county) soon. I think I will keep this address so I can have my booking appt/scan and then tell them I'm moving afterwards. Does anyone know how this works? Presumably I'll have to re-register with a new GP and go to a different hospital for all the ante-natal checks. It's a shame, because the hospital in this county is so much nicer and convenient to get to.

Hollyjokes · 24/11/2013 16:58

That's great that you'll be having a scan so soon funky, I'm sure that everything will be ok and it will be lovely for you to tell your family at Xmas having had the scan and knowing that all is fine Smile

Welcome to blamenargles and itchy - congratulations to the both of you!

Blamenargles I'm struggling with constipation too Blush I was actually going to post here about whether the likes of suppositries and lactulose are frowned upon during pregnancy, does anyone know? I may have to resort to some prune juice, yuk! Confused

Itchy, as far as I know you can have your baby at any hospital you like. If you prefer the hospital you'll be booking in under and it's not too far from where you'll be moving to then I would stick with it? I'm about the same distance from three hospitals but two are in different counties, however I know women who live near me quite often choose the hospital that's out of our area, so I think it's definitely possible Smile

Updated stats! I've put the dates everyone has given so far and we can update the list with more accurate due dates once we've had scans? Smile

Thanks Holly! Will definitely ask about keeping the same hospital, I hope it is possible.

Blamenargles · 24/11/2013 17:47

Holly it's driving me insane I'm normally once a day (sorry tmi) I feel so bloated I don't think I can possibly drink or eat anymore fruit! I can't face prune juice yet. I wonder if you can take benifiber sp when pregnant.

Iv also got really dry eyes Confused

Pregnancy with a toddler is going to be tough I can feel it already

Not sure if I should let work know or not yet I sometimes have to lift heavy things and involves being I my feet and running about

DinkyFrinkbuster · 24/11/2013 19:10

New girl!

I'm due 30/7 and this is my second child. I'm (cough) 37 next week. My first pregnancy ran over by 14 days so I think I'll be well and truly into August.

Feels veeery early to be thinking about any of this but trying to think positive. Private scan booked just before Christmas.

Any one else got stinky wee?! Other than that my only other complaints are really sore boobs. I have taken a million tests and am not yet ready to stop!

Congratulations, everyone!

Hollyjokes · 24/11/2013 23:09

Itchy I'm sure it won't be a problem, good luck!

Blamenargles I have a young DD who is becoming increasingly more active and I'm finding it difficult chasing around after her all day when I'm so exhausted anyway!

Hi DF! Welcome and congratulations Smile No smelly wee here nor sore boobs. My only symptoms so far are tiredness, nausea and bloating. Oh and constipation! Blush I haven't stopped testing yet either! Although I've managed to get it down to once every couple of days now because I'm running out of tests!

I can agree with the bloating - I swear I look pregnant already! I'm on progesterone pessaries which help a bit. Other than that it's lots of clementines, dried apricots and water.
Woke up today and felt very slightly nauseous. Never have I been so happy to feel unwell. Fingers crossed it's a good sign.
blame I'm not telling work for as long as possible. I'm a teacher though and am finding it totally knackering already. Mock week this week though so I will be able to relax a bit.

Howly · 25/11/2013 07:04

Can I join you ladies too? I'm due 26/7, 26 yrs old first baby!

DinkyMole · 25/11/2013 07:13

How's things this morning baggy?

Funky, I wouldn't worry too much about the conception indicator on a digi test. They're known for being pretty unreliable.

Welcome to everyone else Smile

Blamenargles · 25/11/2013 07:33

Good morning everyone, just woke up and I'm tired already

I really don't want to tell work yet but for safety reasons I might have too, I normally chuck myself in to everything but don't want to be lifting too much because I also have a week back.

DinkyFrinkbuster · 25/11/2013 07:41

My boobs are definitely bigger. Last time they were...pneumatic. Was hoping this time they would behave!

funkymonk · 25/11/2013 07:45

Morning ladies! I got a 2-3 on last digital this morning. Prob should have saved it for another few days when it should have read 3+ though! For anyone else worrying about the digitals, it says on clearblue website that conception indicator is 92% accurate +/- 5 days. So not actually that accurate at all!
Hope you all have a happy Monday!

funkymonk · 25/11/2013 07:48

I'm going to tell my colleague I'm pregnant this morning. We jointly lead a team of therapists seeing stroke patients in community so can be very heavy manual handling at times and I'm not willing to take the chance seeing the more challenging patients. No way I can get out if it without being truthful! Hope I've not just outed myself!!

Hollyjokes · 25/11/2013 08:20

Funky & blame - if there's someone at work that you can tell who you trust to keep it quiet until you're ready to tell everyone then I would definitely go for it! It will take the pressure of yourselves a bit and you will have an 'ally' to help you out if other people start suspecting anything! I agree, it's definitely not worth doing anything too risky, very heavy lifting etc. Glad that work should be a bit easier for you this week, Talulah Smile

I'm knackered too blame Hmm

DF my boobs are exactly the same and don't hurt at all! They didn't grow much in my last pregnancy either, I remember my back size went up a bit though and I needed comfier bras!

Hi Howly, welcome! Smile

I've told my manager already as when I had MC she was so supportive and kind. She has had problems TTC so I've felt able to talk to her.
On the subject of heavy lifting I'm moving house this week we're not getting removal men. I'm worried about the lifting should I avoid completely?

2beornot · 25/11/2013 08:46

Morning all!!

I can't believe I'm actually starting to get nauseous already. I'm only 4 weeks. I notice it when stomach either empty or full. Didn't have proper ms with dd (just felt sick from time to time) so hoping this feeling so soon doesn't turn into something worse.

Other than that no symptoms except tiredness but then I'm always bloody tired

Hi newbies!!

baggyoldcow · 25/11/2013 09:13

Morning all (well, it's just afternoon where I am) - welcome newbies - now there are TWO dinkies on the August bus! Thanks dinkymole for asking after me.

Update: (sorry this is all about me - I am reading all your news too, I promise!)...went to ob/gyn who poked around and of course said it's too early to say what's happening but he did send me off for blood HCG levels to be checked and a trans-vag scan tomorrow. I did ask if we'd be likely to see anything so early and he said we might not get a heartbeat but he'd want to see a sac and pole etc.

I told DH about the bleeding this morning as up to now I've been keeping quiet so as not to upset him. He said 'perhaps if this doesn't work out we should call it quits' which made me feel Sad. He has a point that it's a lot of heartache to go through when we've got three fabulous children already.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

DinkyFrinkbuster · 25/11/2013 09:22

Keeping everything crossed for you Baggy. Not too long to wait for answers but can imagine time is dragging.

DinkyFrinkbuster · 25/11/2013 09:24

DinkyMole was here first - I'll be DF. Mine is a ridiculous username but it's an obscure reference in a TV show I've recently been giggling at :)

2beornot · 25/11/2013 10:25

Hope every goes ok Baggy. Only you and DH can decide if the heartache is worth it. Fingers crossed for your can tomorrow
