Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Doctors appointment at 11:15 today. Feel a bit of a fraud as I've not been properly sick, but the constant nausea/dizziness/fatigue/watery mouth and gross taste in mouth are just so hard to cope with.
Obviously off work today - hoping to get signed off until the end of term and also antihistamines prescribed to help with the nausea.
Will update later.

flymo79 · 11/12/2013 08:55

choccy!! great to see you here! keep us posted on the lines xxxx

flymo79 · 11/12/2013 08:59

good luck at the doc's talulah, hope you get what you need

Hollyjokes · 11/12/2013 09:05

Good luck Talulah x

Welcome newbies, nice to see you all. :-)

Good luck at the doctor Talulah.

I can't remember who mentioned pain in the right ovary, but the corpus luteum forms on / near the ovary you ovulated from. It is this which supplies the progesterone which sustains the pregnancy and it can ache.

I'm slightly concerned as I have pain on both sides. But I'm sure it's just coincidence and I'm not having twins!

DinkyMole · 11/12/2013 09:56

Feeling a bit nervous today, mild cramps since yesterday evening but quite low down. It's probably nothing and I'm not bleeding but it's making me feel quite anxious as it's not going away Sad

Choccywoccydodah · 11/12/2013 10:02

Good luck today tullulah!!

Well, I've done a superdrug test and line came up straight away, pic on profile although is faint.

Paying for a sticky one this time! I know it sounds really bad but I would love both babies to have really close birthdays AND be in the summer holidays Grin. (Also means they go to school a year earlier ha ha!!)
Although I don't think we thought through the whole 18th/21st birthdays at the same time thing!!

I've heard VJones got her bfp too for those who remember her, can't see her here though.....

PinaColadas · 11/12/2013 10:23

Hi Ladies, Congrats to the new BFP's, this is a very full bus and theres still time! Good luck with scan tomorrow mrs and hope you get on well at the docs today talulah

I had a shocking night last night, I was up to the loo 3 times and was really restless, I've got the worst taste in my mouth too!

I've given in and sent off an enquiry for an early scan, I don't know how busy they are but ideally it would be a week today as thats when i think i'm about 7-7.5 weeks so hopefully would see a heartbeat. I still don't believe there's anything there again and its starting to really get to me.

flymo79 · 11/12/2013 10:46

oh pina, let us know what they say at the clinic, keep your chin up. xxxxx

PinaColadas · 11/12/2013 11:15

Thanks Flymo, i'm watching my phone like a hawk ha! xx

flymo79 · 11/12/2013 11:46

dinky can you see the dr? or call 111? I have had mild cramping this week too, but it is easier than it has been so am taking that as an okay-ish sign. hope everything ok with you.

DinkyMole · 11/12/2013 11:50

I could but I don't think they'd do anything unless I was bleeding.

flymo79 · 11/12/2013 12:45

I suppose so. Could put your mind at rest though?

PinaColadas · 11/12/2013 12:53

Aw Dinky I'm sorry to hear you're worried, I've been reading a lot about it because i'm the same although would only describe them as mild and its not all the time. Have a look at this article its quite reassuring: www.babycentre.co.uk/a204/abdominal-pain-in-pregnancy
I think if you're really worried and the pain is bad then maybe you should ring your doctor and see if he can suggest anything, but I do think it is normal. Have a warm bath (not too hot), i've been having lots and find it a really good way to relax

Ruggle · 11/12/2013 12:59

DinkyMole , I've been nervous for the opposite reason. I haven't had much cramping at all. I had a handful of very short but quite intense cramps last week, but next to none this week, and I think cramping is a sign that the uterus is growing....so I'm thinking it's strange that I don't have any.....though today I had my first bad bout of nausea, on the bus and train to work.

I actually have a weird smell in my head that I tend to get when my period is due, but trying not to worry. I still have a yucky taste in my mouth and sore boobs....so I think it must just be a hormone thing. Got my 2-3 on CBdigi yesterday. Saving my last test for next week, just to make sure it progresses to 3+.

My GP was supposed to have faxed my antenatal referral form to the Royal Free yesterday and she actually told me to phone them today to chase for a date....so i did, but they said they haven't received the form.
Also, the EPU had told me to get my GP to refer me for an early scan (after my last mc), so I asked the GP yesterday and she said they don't do such referrals, and said I'd have to get the antenatal unit to refer me, but today the antenatal unit said they don't do referrals, and the earliest scan would be 10 or 11 weeks, and told me to ask my GP again. My GP is adamant that she can't refer me, but hasn't really said why not other that it's not something they do. Grrr. I may just turn up at the EPU and ask for a scan in a few weeks time. I had been thinking that I wouldn't really want to know if things weren't progressing, and would just let nature take its course, but I think I've changed my mind....

Sorry for the huge post!

funkymonk · 11/12/2013 13:02

Sorry mrsm. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow. It feels like such a long time to wait. xx

Congrats choccy. Really pleased to see you here. After my mc in July I was more of a lurker on the buses than a poster, but I remember you and your sad news.

I've just come back from my 2nd scan and somehow after 10 days of dark brown discharge and passing a small clot last night, there is a little baby in there with a fluttering heartbeat!! It's grown exactly the amount it should have since the scan last week, but is still 7 days behind where I know my dates should be. I am so relieved as was expecting it to look the same as last week and not have progressed, but at same time am terrified that it still won't work out. She said heartbeat was perhaps a little slower than what they would like to see so I'm going back next Tuesday for another scan!

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 13:13

A heartbeat is a good sign, Funky. :-) Fingers crossed for next week.

My cramping is on and off. Wish I could remember last time more clearly, but I can't! Hope my MW appt arrives today.

funnyfish2 · 11/12/2013 13:27

funky glad for the reassuring news, hope it continues to go well despite all the scary stuff happening.

thinking of you mrs and hope scan shows a sticky bean and your fears can be put to rest.

it would be nice to remember how PG went with first child. some things i remember, but lots i don't, esp the spotting and discharge. i'm so much more nervous this time around, questioning every symptom. i guess the MC earlier this year unhinged me.

Howly · 11/12/2013 13:31

Tallulah I think we are in exactly the same boat, I've been sick the last 2 days and just couldn't carry on teaching, on Monday I was shaking in lesson 3 and didn't want to talk as if I opened my mouth I would throw up, not good for children at all!

Doctor signed me off for a week, I will try and go back in for the last 3 days of term but I will be on the sickness meds, plus I've not told school yet so want to tell them face to face!

The sickness meds are working today but they are a sedative so I've slept all morning!

talulahbelle · 11/12/2013 13:36

Hi Howly Sorry to hear you are suffering too. I've been given antihistamines by my GP - not signed off though as he told me I can self certify and just take it day by day. I'm not actually vomiting yet, and I get a 2hr or so window of feeling OK between 12.30 and 2.30pm, so I'm not as bad as you maybe.

I feel bad - two people at work know, and others will have guessed, and I've not even told my parents yet. I'm also getting the teaching guilt for not going in.

DinkyMole · 11/12/2013 13:48

Hope I didn't seem snippy Flymo, I didn't mean to Blush I've come home from work and will rest up for the rest of the day. If it's still not right tomorrow I'll go to the GP (they close weds afternoons here).
