Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

I'm not taking anything for the cramping because mine only seems to last 10 minutes or so every few hours so it's not too bad really. Paracetamol should be ok though I think?

A tin of tuna just made me gag!

Also, I've just hoovered round downstairs and I'm totally exhausted! Still catching my breath and can feel my raised heart rate 15 minutes later. Erm is this normal for pregnancy or am I just getting really unfit all of a sudden?!

Missvaughan85 · 10/12/2013 21:03

Anyone else freaking out, I'm occasionally excited and then I'm thinking too much about pains that I have. Keep thinking my arm hurts and feels numb. Then I keep thinking its ectopic. My minds all over the place!!!

Hollyjokes · 10/12/2013 21:23

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Hungry, I wouldn't say my sickness is as bad as in my last pregnancy, but it's definitely getting worse. I haven't kept a single thing down today. I had some toast about 6pm and that's just come back up too Hmm From memory, the EPU will check how dehydrated I am (I think that 3+ for ketones in urine = automatic admission for rehydration via drip). I don't think I'm that bad just yet but I'm definitely dehydrated, my mouth is really dry and my lips are chapped. I will also get anti sickness meds via injection, which is just amazing as it starts working really quickly and there's no chance of throwing it back up once it's in there! Then they may change the meds that I'm on and give me some to take home. That's about all they can do to be honest - I just have to go away and monitor things and keep going back if I get dehydrated again.

Rose I'm off my tea too. It tastes really metallic and horrible!

Good luck for tomorrow funky x

Missvaughan, I'm freaking out. Found out last night another of my friends had a micarriage recently and it's really shocked and saddened me :(

I'm not worrying myself stupid over every little pain, I know that makes no sense, but I think it's always at the back of my mind, knowing just how common it is to MC this early on. Eeek.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 10/12/2013 21:38

Please can I join you? I'm in the very early stages - did 1st positive test on Sunday and due date 20th August! Feeling nauseous which is reassuring. This feels like a nice place to be. Now to catch up on the previous 780 messages - hmmm ...

Missvaughan85 · 10/12/2013 21:41

M freaking out as I've got cramps in my back, fullness in lower pubic area and then the occasional pain in right side where I feel ovulation. Which is freaking me the hell out!! My dr app isn't until the 27th!!!

miserywaterfall · 10/12/2013 21:56

Welcome and congrats Choco :)

Missvaughn, I've had all those symptoms too. Tis is my first time so not entirely sure what's going on but from everything I have read so far this is all normal so long as the pain isn't extreme and there's been no bleeding... try and relax, I felt my symptoms eased when I chilled a bit.

Missvaughan85 · 10/12/2013 21:59

Did you get one sided pain?? Misery??

Missvaughan85 · 10/12/2013 21:59

It's not a pain as such, more of a feeling like I know something's there.

beanbaking83 · 10/12/2013 22:03

Hi all

I'm new to mumsnet with my first bump-to-be. Fingers crossed, due in August as I'm 5 weeks. The waiting for scans and worrying is already driving me crazy (confused)

Lovely to meet people in the same boat! Look forward to sharing many stories (smile)

miserywaterfall · 10/12/2013 22:03

I did Missvaughn, on the right side like you have! I know what you mean, pain isn't exactly the right word, just a sorta feeling and discomfort! It has eased now, though still a few stabs now and again.

miserywaterfall · 10/12/2013 22:04

Welcome and congrats Bean :D

mrsmusic · 10/12/2013 22:08

Hi everyone; not a brilliant couple of days here. Had slight brown discharge and light cramps (like mild period pains) since last week but yesterday turned red. Today it's like a light period. Went to doctors who has referred me to EPAU but can't get an appointment tomorrow so have to wait until Thursday morning. They told me not to have anything to eat from the night before so that doesn't sound encouraging really :-(

miserywaterfall · 10/12/2013 22:14

Oh Mrsmusic, I'm sorry :( Keeping everything crossed it's not bad news xx

mrsmusic · 10/12/2013 22:19

Thanks xx

Shakshuka · 10/12/2013 22:23

Good luck tomorrow mrsm I hope it all goes well - I bled a lot with dd1 in the first trimester, including red blood. It was awful. I know it's scary and of course it's nicer not to bleed but the not eating is just a precaution and it's not a certainty.

mrsmusic · 10/12/2013 22:28

Thank you Shashuka. Wish the appointment was tomorrow and not Thursday but am super busy teaching tomorrow with a concert tomorrow night so not too much time to think about it which is good!

Shakshuka · 10/12/2013 22:36

Oh sorry, MrsM, good luck for Thursday. The waiting is excruciating so good that you're busy!

miserywaterfall · 10/12/2013 22:43

Have noticed today I have a few spots!! Very unlike me, my skin is usually clear. Annoying! Anyone else noticed that? :)

HungryHorace · 10/12/2013 23:10

Good luck on Thursday, mrs. I really hope everything is OK. xx

I've had friends bleed quite heavily in early pregnancy and go to full term, so I'm very hopeful for you.

Holly, let us know how you get on tomorrow.

Funky, good luck with your scan.

travispickles · 10/12/2013 23:15

I feel like my symptoms have gone so I am worried . I felt sick last week but today I haven't felt pg at all. Think I am 5 weeks today but I felt dreadful last time. Such a stressful time! Good luck tomorrow mrsm

Choccywoccydodah · 10/12/2013 23:35

talulahbelle · 11/12/2013 06:12

Welcome all choco nice to see you here :)

Today I've woken up feeling okish - but then I did yesterday and had to leave work due to sickness. I'm going to get up slowly and attempt breakfast, see how it sticks.

ScienceGeekGirl · 11/12/2013 06:29

(Waves) choco! Congrats and welcome. How you feeling? You gonna be trying a digi today? I can tell you it's lovely seeing it in words. Although the batteries in mine has died so went away yesterday night (sad times).

Woke up loads of times last night. Was just so warm and think my mind still hasn't got its self round the fact I'm preggers. Combo doesn't make sleeping easy. Once I got back to sleep the last time I wake up with belly ache. Had a warm drink and seems to have settled it but hope this doesn't mean nausea is on the way. I was hoping for another week or so before that arrived. I'm only 4+2.

Polkadot1 · 11/12/2013 06:43

Hi all,
Welcome to the recent BFPs! It is a scary time, (esp with all the stories of m/c you hear/ read). My plan is to keep chilled out until 7 weeks, when I'll have a scan- which will hopefully be reassuring, I'm 5+4 today. Similar occass cramps- but I've got a couple of "pregnancy week by week" apps on my phone, which say it's your ligaments starting to stretch as your uterus grows, and I do remember it last time. Good luck tomorrow mrs
