Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

So sorry about your cat, tallulah. It's like losing a friend, isn't it. Have you been over to The Litter Tray? They've been a helpful bunch for me in the past.

We will all keep everything crossed for you.

ItchyBodCrane · 28/11/2013 20:25

So sorry about your cat talulah. I have a couple myself so I know what it's like. I'm sure she had a great life with you loving her so much.

GillyMac93 · 28/11/2013 20:41

Thinking about you talulah Thanks

Shakshuka · 28/11/2013 21:56

So sorry about your cat. I have a dog and would be devastated if anything happened to him.

Fingers crossed that your pregnancy stays. Keep us posted.

Hollyjokes · 28/11/2013 21:59

Oh Talulah I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I will be thinking of you tonight and tomorrow. Sending you lots of love. Please try not to overthink any lack of symptoms, it will soon be Monday and I am keeping everything crossed that you get good news then x

Aw I'm so sorry Talulah, I have a dog and I can't bare to think what you're going through. Take careThanks

baggyoldcow · 29/11/2013 06:15

oh Talulah, what a thing to go through! I'm thinking of you today. Also fingers crossed for the pregnancy, the symptoms do seem to come and go so here's hoping all is well. Thanks

Dinky - what a thing for them to say at your interview! Even if the bulge is pretty obvious Blush it's a risky thing to say to a woman. Hopefully they'll hire you anyway. Fx.

Holly on the scan question, my scan was at 5.5 weeks and I thought they wouldn't see anything from the outside but it was really clear. They also did the 'dildo cam' Smile on me but it's really not as ghastly an experience as all that. I always think with doctors etc. they've seen EVERYTHING a million times, whatever you've got to show is of no interest!

Welcome newbies usmama, Pina and Shaks ! Pina - you definitely don't need to POAS every day etc. but some of us freaks do it for 'laughs'. A positive is a positive and until you get a period you are pregnant. Congratulations! So just relax if you can.

Howly · 29/11/2013 07:03

TFI friday I'm exhausted! anyone else bought a bigger bra yet? Mines getting uncomfortable!

PinaColadas · 29/11/2013 09:11

Happy Friday ladies.
Thanks baggy although I was a little too relaxed this morning when I forgot to collect my morning wee to take to docs. Rung and they said the next one should be ok!
Howly the second I found out I got out my soft bras, any excuse aaaaaahh so comfy :) Last time round I found they were a life saver! underwires are your worst enemy.

baggyoldcow · 29/11/2013 09:17

I'm shattered too, despite going to bed at 9. Heaven knows how I'm going to survive 9 months of this!

ItchyBodCrane · 29/11/2013 13:04

I called the doctor this morning to ask what I should do next. My regular doctor is away until mid December but they said they had an appt with another one at lunchtime so I took it, even though it is early days (6 weeks since last period). Luckily I am on holiday today!

He took my blood pressure, weight and then I asked about the flu jab and he said he could do it then and there so I said yes. Booking appointment is day after Boxing Day which is great as it means I don't have to take time off work. Bit nervous going so soon, seems like tempting fate but it was good to tell someone else in real life other than DH!

Hollyjokes · 29/11/2013 13:35

No bigger bras here just yet - my boobs are still exactly the same! I remember how comfy the soft bras were though last time so may stock up soon anyway.

Glad to hear that an early scan doesn't necessarily mean dildo cam Smile My scan won't be at the hospital, just in one of those 3D scan places, so would feel a bit weird dropping my pants in a non medical setting!

OP posts:
ItchyBodCrane · 29/11/2013 13:41

fwiw I've had the dildocam twice (for non pregnancy related reasons) and it's nothing. It's a little bit larger than a tampon and doesn't go in very far. I could barely feel it.

Shakshuka · 29/11/2013 14:55

I tested this morning with one of my internet cheapies (God knows why, I need to stop - but I'm still in shock!!) and the line was definitely fainter than before. So I cracked open one of my first response and also the line was fainter than on Wednesday.

I'm hoping that it's because I've been very thirsty and had had a big glass of water just before I went to sleep so the wee would be more dilute.

But definitely preparing for the worst. Especially because I don't know how far along I am, I might not even be 4 weeks - normally I wouldn't test until my due date because I'd rather not know if it's a chemical pregnancy.

Anyone else super thirsty by the way?

Allypallyjelly · 29/11/2013 16:07

Anyone's got this horrible bitter taste after food that lingers on forever ? :( makes me wanna be sick

Allypallyjelly · 29/11/2013 16:08

Shak - don't worry about the lines. With my previous preg I always get darker lines in evenings?! If you really want to be sure maybe get some blood test done? Yes really thirsty too!

PinaColadas · 29/11/2013 16:54

I'm super thirsty!
I'm starting to wonder how I'm going to get through this, I'm so paranoid about losing it again, feel like time is going so slowly already and I've only known 48 hours. I was so happy and relatively relaxed last time!

GillyMac93 · 29/11/2013 18:34

pina I feel the same , time is dragging because if it . I have the horrible taste in my mouth and really thirsty and tired too, roll on 12 weeks scans so we can relax and enjoy our pregnancies !

DinkyFrinkbuster · 29/11/2013 18:41

Grin at holly - I would feel bloody awkward about that, too!

Very dry mouth here, however much I drink. Feeling rather hard done by today - it's my birthday and I can't have a drink. Or can I...would you? I didn't last time.

Agree, time is dragging horribly. Wednesdays are my new week days, so every one will be celebrated!

GillyMac93 · 29/11/2013 21:47

Happy birthday Dinky ! Have a virtual Wine

Morganlove · 29/11/2013 22:37

Hello all (& happy birthday Dinky)

Glad others have a dry mouth too, in the morning it's like I've not had water for years!

Went to the GP today for first time since finding out. Was prepared to be underwhelmed as on previous threads I'd seen people say they felt like this. Couldn't have been more wrong, he was lovely and so pleased for me. Made it feel a little bit more real too (though still not totally real!).

Hope everyone has a nice weekend, I'm off to drink another gallon of water now.......

Allypallyjelly · 29/11/2013 22:44

Happy birthday Dinky!!! Wine Thanks Cake xxx

Hollyjokes · 29/11/2013 23:38

Happy birthday DF! Hope you've had a nice day Smile

Glad your appointment went well Morgan Smile

Today has definitely been the toughest for me so far. I've been sick a LOT and the nausea has been pretty much constant in between. This is how it started last time before developing into hyperemesis pretty quickly. I just don't think I can go through that again, especially not now I already have DD to look after. Do you think it's too early to see the GP and ask for anti sickness meds? Of course, it may not get any worse than this but today has been pretty grim and I think it might be a good idea to nip things in the bud before the sickness gets out of control?

Hope everyone else is feeling ok x

Hiya got the date for my booking appointment today - December 9th Smile Earlier than expected. Can't decided if I'd prefer to have my scan before or after Christmas though.

Freaking out tonight, had the smallest amount of brown discharge tonight but then nothing when I wiped. It really was tiny but it's really upset me and im sure its the start of something horrible. Not sure how I'd manage with another mc so close to the last one. am so paranoid I'm going to wake up properly bleeding. So scared & can't sleepSad

DinkyMole · 30/11/2013 08:09

Happy birthday for yesterday Dinky Smile

Hayley, sounds like implantation bleeding to me. Try not to worry too much, though I know that's easier said than done.

Sorry to hear the sickness is getting worse Holly. I think it's definitely worth seeing the doctor.

Nothing much to report here. Just still soooooo tired. I'm at Uni all weekend as well, and have an assignment due on Wednesday so think the zombie feeling is here to stay Grin
