Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Hi folks appointment went well , have to refer myself to
Maternity unit , thought that's what I was going to the gp for Confused glad to hear your better Ruth . There's more pink spotting on the thread good signs , I'm avidly knicker checking here!

ShoesBagsDresses · 27/11/2013 21:36

Evening all, talulahbell I too am getting some pinkish spotting tonight. I wasn't too worried but have had a dull belly ache all day :( so coupled with this it's has me into a worry frenzy!
Now I'm really freaking out what with the lack of symptoms! Only slightly tender boobs so far.

I have to keep telling myself it's such early days and what will be will be.

Hope those getting sickness are feeling better tonight and that it's not getting anyone down at the mo x

DinkyMole · 27/11/2013 21:51

Another dizzy one here. Have an interview tomorrow and slightly worried I'll be too ill for it Confused Nothing seems to help either, lying down or standing up it's just as bad.
Didn't feel so sick today so that's a bonus Grin

talulahbelle · 28/11/2013 08:08

No spotting today yet (touch wood)
Went to be at 8:30 last night, still so so tired today. Very slightly sick and dizzy. Boobs not sore at all though.

Scan in 4 more days.

Allypallyjelly · 28/11/2013 08:34

dinky good luck with interview and hope everyone feels better today!

GillyMac93 · 28/11/2013 09:24

Hope we are all well today ! The dreaded sickness hasn't hit me yet !x

Hollyjokes · 28/11/2013 10:12

Good luck with your interview Dinky, hope it goes well.

I vomited again as soon as I got up. I've since managed to have tea and toast and it seems to have settled my stomach because I don't feel too bad now. Just bloody knackered!

2beornot · 28/11/2013 10:22

No sickness here yet either. Do feel knackered but that could just be life!!

Good luck, Dinky

talulahbelle · 28/11/2013 13:24

shoes I'm getting cramps too. Trying not to panic, I keep saying 'I am pregnant today'

Wish I could fast forward to a healthy 12 week scan.

DinkyMole · 28/11/2013 13:30

Thanks all, I managed to make it through without being sick. It was in a young persons centre and one of the young people said "I can see you're expecting" as he showed me out. CRINGE! I laughed and said yes, and now I don't know whether to say, I am but only 4 weeks, please still hire me Confused

PinaColadas · 28/11/2013 14:15

Hello ladies, I wonder if I can join?

Firstly Congratulations to everyone!

I'm 26, this will hopefully be DC#1, i'm very hesitaint to join, I had a MMC at almost 12 weeks in June followed by 12 weeks of bleeding when I eventually got seen to and had ERPC in September.

LMP 26th October but I ovulate late so guessing I'm due around 5th August. Had BFP yesterday morning, AF was due today.

I'm already on edge because i've had slight brown/pink spotting and having mild cramps. I'm so worried I can't concentrate on anything!

Can't really say I have symptoms other than peeing in the night which was why I took a test yesterday, I just knew it!!

The only thing i'm thinking I should be doing which i'm not is POAS every day, I thought a positive was a positive? I've got a sample pot from docs to confirm and take in tomorrow. But should I be POAS every day to make sure its getting darker? Confused

GillyMac93 · 28/11/2013 15:10

Hey Pina congratulations ! It's my first DC too .i think most of us ( not me ) have had spotting and iv had cramps most days .

I'm full of ridiculously stupid questions , but dr just said to make an appointment with maternity unit , I'm only 5 weeks should I make it now ? Is it 8 weeks for booking appointment ? First pregnancy and not prepared for it at all so really nervous and panicky about doing things right ! I made a vat of broccoli soup and taking a pregnancy vitamin , also walking as far as I can with dogs in the hope that being fit -ish means an easy labour ! Fat chance !Grin

usmama · 28/11/2013 15:25

Hello ladies! Congrats to all- may I join as another end July interloper?
This will be no.1 after a fair bit of time trying. Due date tentatively 30/7/14.
GillyMac93 like you I also have lots of questions! Am a bit confused, living in london but not from this area (and luckily not really had to access any health services until now). First GP appointment is in 2 weeks. Is where you go postcode based? Or possible to self refer for maternity services here?

Shakshuka · 28/11/2013 15:31

Hi all

Congrats to everyone! Exciting but terrifying times!!

I hope I'm not being too optimistic by asking to join you?

I got a bfp yesterday :) The thing is that I haven't had a period since coming off my birth control pill so I have no idea how far along I am. I tested because I felt light headed which is how I felt last time I was pregnant, got a bfn on an internet cheapie but feeling didn't pass so tested with first response yesterday and got a nice strong line.

Someone on the conception thread told me about the tests with week counter so I did that this morning and it said 1-2 weeks (so 3-4 weeks pregnant) which means it must be really early days (I was surprised because surely I shouldn't be feeling light headed if I'm not even 4 weeks pregnant?). I'm trying not to get excited because I'm 39 (nearly 40) and the miscarriage stats aren't great especially if I'm not even 4 weeks!! I'm trying to look at it as a promising start but nothing more.

Those who have had spotting/bleeding, I had it with both my dc. With my first I had it from almost the start until about 8-9 weeks, a few times red blood and even quite heavy. Each time we were told it doesn't look good, but each scan showed all was fine! Of course it's nicer not to have the worry spotting or bleeding but it is very common.

usmama · 28/11/2013 15:35

Hi shakshuka &congrats! The stats are scary, like you I am also just trying to keep things in perspective. fingers crossed! x

PinaColadas · 28/11/2013 16:13

Hi GillyMac93 it's a relief to hear others have the spotting and cramps. I think I look forward to a time when I don't check the loo roll every time I go for a wee. GROSS.

First time round I went to doc who asked me if i'd done a home test, I said yes and he just gave me a number to call the anti natal clinic. They then sent me a letter in the next few weeks for a appt with a midwife, I was 7+4 at the appt where they did bloods and went through the basics, and then scan was booked at that apt for 12+3, never got to go to this as lost the baby at 11+5.

This time round i've asked to do a test at the doc, then when it comes back and is a BFP as hoped then i'll ring ANC, no need for docs appt.

Then its just the looooong wait. I really don't know how we are all going to get through these next 8 weeks til our first scans. I just feel like every second lasts a minute at the moment!

GillyMac93 · 28/11/2013 17:00

Congratulations Shak and usmama!

pina it's awful isn't it , It doesn't feel real , I just want my scan and to be told it's all ok. I scared of everything , something going wrong , labour , looking after baby and I faint with blood or needles , had a panic attack last night over booking appointment .

usmama I'm glad it's not me 8 weeks seems such a long way away and i know nothing ! No idea I had to go to booking appointment ! Hopefully this thread will help us pass the time to the magic 12 weeks !

Hollyjokes · 28/11/2013 17:02

Hello to the newbies and congratulations! I will add you all onto the list in a moment. Shakshuka, I will put your due date as unknown for now, but will change it if you have a rough estimate you want to go with?

Gilly, yes call for an appointment now. They will give you a date for in a weeks time for your booking in appointment with a midwife. I'm having mine when I'm 7 weeks, which is a bit earlier than I thought it'd be but it's the date I was given and I'll be glad to have a chance to chat to a midwife soon about the spotting I've had.

Dinky glad you got to your interview. How weird that someone realised you were pregnant! Try not to worry too much about it, they're not allowed to not offer you the job because you're pregnant, if you're the best candidate that they've interviewed. When will you hear?

Talulah I hope that you are able to relax over the weekend while waiting for your scan on Monday. I am sure that everything will be absolutely fine x

Holly, I obviously looked like I have a large bump in this dress haha! Cringe!

Early scan booked for 16th December when I'll be 7+3. Hoping it won't need to be internal but will be happy just to see everything is okay Smile

Aw Dinky I am exactly the same, I look several months pregnant already! I'm sure it's just bloating/wind/constipation related but even still it looks like a solid bump!

I think we're going to try to book an early scan before Christmas too. It'd be really nice to know that everything was looking ok before we tell our families over Christmas. I hadn't thought about the scan being dildo cam though?! Has anyone else had an early scan before and know if it's internal or external? I'll still have it either way but it'd be nice to know beforehand!

OP posts:
DinkyMole · 28/11/2013 17:16

Dildocam! Hahah! Yeah I'd rather it was external. I'll be 8+1 by LMP dates I think but I definitely ovulated late. Oh well, a scans a scan! Two weeks on Monday Smile

usmama · 28/11/2013 17:19

think 10 = abdo
... I think, not 100%

DinkyFrinkbuster · 28/11/2013 18:27

I had an external scan at 7 weeks and there was a very obvious blob with heartbeat - dildo can is not an inevitability!

talulahbelle · 28/11/2013 20:01

Awful day, Dcat home for her last night, is being PTS tomorrow. I love her so much and can't stop crying.
Pretty much all pregnancy symptoms gone, I'm on cyclogest as this was an IVF pregnancy and I think that's the only thing keeping AF away.
Hoping for good news on Monday but not feeling lucky.
