Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Welcome Gilly! Smile You're a real August baby, congrats. Some of us are mere interlopers...

Holly Thanks - I know that feeling of dread, but try not to get too stressed. It might just be twins Grin. It's not over till you have a period and it seems that 5 weeks is just about the time when half of us are bleeding a bit. Fingers and toes crossed for you dear. (oh, and btw, DH said "Oh my god, I was only joking!" because last week he had been saying "wouldn't it be great if we had twins!")

Thanks everyone for the congratulations - I am still reeling. Utterly knackered too having been awake half the night stressing about it. So I'm heading home now to do more googling on the subject.

Hollyjokes · 26/11/2013 13:46

You're right funky, I just looked up the EPU at my hospital and it is indeed 6 weeks. So I need to wait another 5 days before I can contact them if I need to. Fx I won't have to.

Welcome gilly, I'll add you to the list in a moment Smile

Baggy - imagine if all of us with these pink mucous symptoms ended up having twins! I have a 9 month old DD so I'd need a triple buggy!! How old are your other DC?

Thanks Itchy, how are you doing?

OP posts:
talulahbelle · 26/11/2013 14:07

I've had the phone call from the EPU - I have an early scan booked in for next Monday when I'm 6+2. Now the fear beings that they won't be able to see anything, or it won't have developed enough. Stress.

DinkyMole · 26/11/2013 14:16

Did another digi. Last Tuesday it came up not pregnant. Thursday I got pregnant 1-2 weeks. Today I got 3+! I hope I'm not following in baggy's footsteps haha!

DinkyMole · 26/11/2013 14:32

Fingers crossed all is okay for you Holly. Keep us updated Smile

Welcome Gilly Smile

Tallulah, glad you've got a scan booked and hope it all goes well for you Smile

Allypallyjelly · 26/11/2013 15:01

Dinky - grats! Maybe another set of twins on the forum!!!

2beornot · 26/11/2013 15:12

Fingers crossed you won't need them then holly. Sorry - I didn't realise they were an early, but not too early, pregnancy unit. I guess at 5 weeks it's probably difficult to see anything anyway?!

Good luck Tallulah x

Hollyjokes · 26/11/2013 15:33

Thanks guys. I'm hoping it's a good sign that I'm still feeling very pregnant - on/off nausea and I just had to have a nap because I'm so tired! Fx Smile

Dinky that's quick work getting to 3+! I wonder if you'll be following in baggy's footsteps?!

Great news about the scan Talulah, I'm sure that they'll be able to see something on there with you being past 6 weeks x

OP posts:
DinkyMole · 26/11/2013 15:55

They sound like good symptoms Holly Smile

Oh I really hope not. This will be our fifth baby already, so twins would be 6 and I'm in the middle of a degree as well (which includes seeing clients!). Twins would be a nightmare!

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 26/11/2013 18:47

Wow, twins Baggy!!!

Welcome Gilly, another due 2nd august!

Fx Talullah all will be fine with your scan. Holly, any more so far?

I called the doctors today and got an appointment with the nurse for next week. I've also booked a private early scan for 23rd dec as we'd love to be able to give our families the news over Christmas Smile

funkymonk · 26/11/2013 19:51

How are you Holly?

Did you manage to get any work done today baggy?!!

DinkyFrinkbuster · 26/11/2013 21:11

Hope all is well Holly

My jeans are tighter...how is that possible?! Not eating more and have cut out alcohol. At this rate there's no way I'll keep at lid on this until the 12 week mark.

Eek!

funkymonk · 26/11/2013 21:14

Missed your post sorry talulah. Don't panic there's not long to wait. I'm sure all will be grand.

Hollyjokes · 26/11/2013 21:27

I'm ok thanks guys. Keep getting odd AF style cramps so I'm knicker checking like a woman possessed but nothing else there so far. Have been speaking to DH about it all and I think we're going to get a private early scan just to check all is well.

DF my jeans are tight too! I'm so bloated it's unreal! I may not have any choice but to move into mat jeans before much longer, all being well!

GillyMac93 · 26/11/2013 21:47

its so fluffy theres a few 2nds ! And this is your first too !im so excited and I'm not good at keeping secrets normally ! holly iv been having period style cramps too. Good luck talulah

baggyoldcow · 27/11/2013 06:36

Glad the belly's still growing Holly, that's surely a good sign!

Not done much work, I must admit. Been looking at the 'larger families' section on MN for inspiration. I have to say I'm feeling very nervous both at the prospect of carrying/looking after twin babies and in the longer term, coping with 5 children. DinkyM how do you do it??

Mine are 6, nearly 5, and, 3 today!

Allypallyjelly · 27/11/2013 07:14

Hi all,
Since I've got many cb digi and expiring 30/11 I've used one last evening with little amount of wee and got 2-3weeks, this morning I did it again and got 3+. Fingers crossed this is good stuff! Still spotting pink but have blood tests done yesterday so will find out the results to see if my levels are good or not. Boobs a lil sensitive and a lil nauseous so hoping they are good signs.

ItchyBodCrane · 27/11/2013 07:47

I am also knicker checking like a mad woman!

My main symptom was sore breasts. So sore in fact I bought a new bra at the weekend. Today they are not sore at all and am trying not to panic. I've googled and apparently symptoms can cone and go early on. This is now my mantra.

ItchyBodCrane · 27/11/2013 07:48

Come and go even. Bloody autocorrect!

talulahbelle · 27/11/2013 08:03

itchy I woke up with my breasts hardly sore at all. POAS and the line came up really dark even before the control line appeared though. Feeling slightly nauseous too. Waiting it hell!

Hollyjokes · 27/11/2013 08:17

Happy birthday to your 3yo baggy! Have you got anything planned to celebrate?

Ally do you get your blood results today? Good luck.

My symptoms come and go too Itchy, some days I feel no different and others I'm practically on my knees with exhaustion! Today I'm the most nauseous I've been so far, seriously feel like I could puke any second. I'm hoping that this, combined with no further pink spotting/mucous is a good sign.

Hope everything has a good day x

Allypallyjelly · 27/11/2013 08:59

Good luck tallulah
