mrsmugoo sorry work's being so full on. Hope you get it sorted by Xmas.

I should think some baby stuff will be in the sales. Fashions and designs change so bound to be some to get rid of. Worth a try!!

Welcome back ontherun.

PiratesMam · 18/12/2013 19:30

ontherun 38 weeks is my dream labour time! Was 42 and 41 weeks for the other two though so guessing this one will be late too :-/

Just had nightmare afternoon evening - DH meant to be "on hols" now but he's been on blackberry all day and then buggered off back into town for a work do at 4ish, leaving me with a tip of a house, overtired DD (2.8) and DS (4.6) who had homework to do. Just got them into bed and now cant even face going back downstairs to the clean-up operation! Plus our heating keeps packing up because of our bloody building work. I am SO sick of builders now Hmm

However - scaffolding coming down tomorrow!! 2 months of hell coming to an end as long as they fix the heating

OwlinaTree · 19/12/2013 07:35

2 more days of work till Christmas holiday!!!

OnTheRunAndUpTheDuff · 19/12/2013 08:13

Pirates I was very relieved that he came so early - despite being woefully underprepared. I've had horrible spd/pgp with both pregnancies and I have no idea how I would have coped with another month.

Of course, this one will probably go to 42 weeks, just to be difficult Smile.

Anyone else have insomnia? If I wake up for any reason between about 3.30 and 5.30 I just cannot get back to sleep. I've been awake since 4.45 this morning, and was just thinking about dropping off again when DS woke up at 6.30. He usually sleeps till 8 so is in a lovely mood.

Today will be fuelled by caffeine and cake I think.

mrsmugoo · 19/12/2013 11:17

Really can't wait to get through the next two days - I'm so unprepared for Christmas but playing the pregnancy card as I'm really struggling at the moment - permanently tired and waddling around with a sore tailbone and ribs :(

liberuna · 19/12/2013 13:41

sorry to hear about yesterday pirate but finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure it'll be such a relief to have everything done.

mrs staying with in laws so pregnancy card is definitely coming up.

ontherun its my first so everyone keeps telling me I'll be late :) hope not

Feeling sorry for myself at the mo - Got a weird muscle pain , like stitch, in my belly for the last 4 days. MW said its "normal pregnancy symptoms" no sympathy at all!

mrsmugoo · 19/12/2013 14:06

I know mine is totally normal preggy symptoms too - so really trying to dig in deep and not moan about it, I'm just getting on with what needs to be done. But MAN can I not wait to be at home for a week in my PJs!!

Maternity leave is on my mind right now! (only 10 weeks to go haha)

Imeg · 19/12/2013 19:24

I am also struggling with sleep some nights, not sure why worse some nights than others. I have great respect for everyone looking after older children at the same time!
I have had quite a lot of abdominal pain due to constipation which sometimes feels like a stitch. I know it's that because when I eventually go I feel much better! Sorry if too much information.

PainAuxRaisins · 19/12/2013 23:39

Haven't posted in well over a week so hello to the new arrivals(/returners)! Finishing work tomorrow and not back til the new year so will hopefully catch up a bit more frequently for the next couple of weeks (...and also on the FB page). Lib my first baby was 2 weeks early (eek!). Would love a 38 weeker this time round.
Haven't had any insomnia yet (apart from the 2 DDs waking me up at all hours of the night with their cold feet/requests for cuddles/complaints of bad dreams/requests to be accompanied to the loo etc) but I can empathise!

Imeg · 23/12/2013 08:21

Just want to wish everyone a very happy Christmas as might not be on much for the next few days. :)

dizhin79 · 23/12/2013 10:20

merry Xmas mumsnet Martians, I'm off for my whooping cough jab this morning, hopefully this won't hamper my present opening ability!! Grin

pixiebell79 · 23/12/2013 11:37

Christmas wishes to all - hope the festive period allows you all to put your feet up and let at least some of the strain be taken by partners/family/friends Grin

Yogibear72 · 23/12/2013 21:57

Just wanted to say 'hi' and merry Xmas to everyone Xmas Smile I'm new to this thread - 30 weeks today. Starting to feel really uncomfortable with bump expanding up under my ribs. Hope it drops down again. I've got a big roast turkey dinner and Xmas pud to fit in!

dizhin79 · 24/12/2013 02:17

hi yogi merry Xmas to u too, well done for finding the group. Do u know what ur having boy/girl/surprise? Grin

Yogibear72 · 24/12/2013 09:43

Thanks dizhin. Team yellow here. It's my first.

Yogibear72 · 24/12/2013 09:44

How about you?

OnTheRunAndUpTheDuff · 24/12/2013 11:13

Morning all, and merry Christmas!

I have (rather guiltily) packed DS off to the childminder this morning. Neither DH or I are working, but we do have a busy day of cooking and cleaning planned.

We're having a quiet family day tomorrow. I particularly want to make to nice for my Granny, as it is her first Christmas in 65 years without my Grandpa who died last month.

I am also looking forward to putting my feet up a bit and eating too much chocolate!

dizhin79 · 24/12/2013 12:35

team yellow here too Smile

Ontherun that's so sad, how sweet to take extra special care xxx

OwlinaTree · 24/12/2013 16:09

Just been out for lunch, feel so sleepy! Might have a snooze but still have some presents to wrap.....

OnTheRunAndUpTheDuff · 24/12/2013 16:45

dizhin That's the bit that breaks my heart. I feel sad for myself, but I absolutely cannot imagine what it is to lose the person you have spent your entire life with. She was sixteen when they met. If this baby is a boy, he will have my Grandpa's name, at least as a middle name.

liberuna · 24/12/2013 22:48

Welcome yogi obviously with Xmas its going to be a little quiet here but we're friendly bunch. :) When's your due date?
My first too.

ontherun i can sympathise. its OH gramps who lost his wife a couple of months ago. We're spending it withhim. And even though it's hard ,he's over the moon with new grandchild on the way. Lots of chocolate.

Just had a bit of a melt down. couldn't get in touch with my family as they've all moved abroad. Hopefully have better luck later. :(

I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year if I don't get back on xxx

Yogibear72 · 27/12/2013 09:15

Thanks liberuna you were right very quiet for Xmas on here! Another first baby Xmas Smile I'm due 3rd March.

Thats really sad about your grandma ontherun it must have been difficult year for her. Xmas would have been made extra special by you and the imminent new arrival.

It's been a great Xmas. Arrived at the in laws on Xmas eve and have been waited on hand and foot since. Driving the 200 miles or so back today to a very soggy looking surrey.

LyraSilvertongue · 27/12/2013 15:36

Yogi, it's always quiet on here nowadays. Everybody's moved over to our Facebook group. At one point on here, we were having to make a new thread every week, it was that busy.

Imeg · 27/12/2013 18:59

I'm due 3rd of March too Yogi :)

PiratesMam · 27/12/2013 19:21

Hi everyone! Gosh it is quiet isn't it. How is everyone finding it this Xmas? Now I'm 30 weeks the exhaustion is really setting in. Last night DH and I went to bed just after the kids at 7.30 and slept for 12 hours! I did wake up for an hour or so at 2am (hungry Blush) but went back off again. I cannot believe we have another 10 weeks to go. I have missed the booze this Xmas I must say Confused

Did loads of sorting out at home today and now DH is cooking dinner. Then I might have another early night - was really nice!
