Hooray driz! Lembie must be due an upgrade now surely - Loetus? Lembaby? :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/11/2013 16:48

I guess I am diffed Blush. Will finally be telling "my other work" on Wed. And yeah, lembie can become something more exciting. But Loetus I don't like too much Wink. It looked a lot different from the blast we picked up about 10 weeks ago...

The impossible, but very excited sister actually gave us a little outfit yesterday, and maybe now I can start imagining taking a baby home in it.

Nokkie73 · 25/11/2013 17:26

BOOM driz is having a baybee. Really pleased everything is as it should be. Time to enjoy it drizzlewizzle

evilgiraffe · 25/11/2013 17:26

Hooray, driz! Excellent news Grin

Hope your scan is equally encouraging, winks :)

It's HOTB's birthday; we've had ILs here all day. Now finally have peace and quiet! The ILs are over very generous with gift-giving though, I suspect if/when this baby arrives we are going to have to have some difficult conversations about appropriate presents...

FrankelInFoal · 25/11/2013 18:08

Yup, everything crossed here for Winks.

I'm officially an old gimmer now - at lunchtime I bought some thermal vests in M&S Blush.

Happy birthday to HOTB Grin

SinkyMalinks · 25/11/2013 18:27

Good luck winks. What time are you up?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/11/2013 19:07

Keeping stuff crossed for you, winks!!

Happy birthday to HOTB! Tell us about inappropriate presents, draf!

MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 19:52

Perfect little tadpole, heard a heartbeat, then it waved at us and did a little jump! Squeeee! Very very happy right now :) :)

FrankelInFoal · 25/11/2013 19:59

Hurrah Winks Grin So pleased that the PESH are getting great scan results.

Would it be wrong of me to consider eating crumpets plastered in Nutella? Opinions?

OP posts:
FaithTheVampireSlayer · 25/11/2013 20:05

Squeeeeeeeee! Well done Winkywoo! Grin

Frank I fed crumpets with peanut butter to Faithlet for breakfast. I say go for it.

MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 20:12

Frank I bought nutella last week precisely so I could have crumpets and nutella. Alas HWCA had finished the crumpets. Bastard. Do it for me!

KatAndKit · 25/11/2013 20:15

Great news winks so pleased it went well. You iz havin a baybee!!

MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 20:26

Looks like it kat! Eek, scary!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 25/11/2013 20:34

Hurrah Winks! What wonderful news, how far along is little tadpole? And when do you get to see it again?

Anything with nutella is good, I reckon that is my one pregnancy vice so far...

FrankelInFoal · 25/11/2013 20:42

Verdict on Crumpets with Nutella - Grin

Though I think I prefer Cadbury Philadelphia

OP posts:
MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 20:50

The best thing about crumpets is that the topping squidges out the bottom, so you get it on both sides, as opposed to toast which is very one sided. I may have to buy chocolate philly and compare.

driz measuring 9+1, which is perfect from the last scan. I've got my hospital scan on the 18th of December, so will have to be patient until then. Patience isn't my strong point!

At Christmas I'm going to have to tell my 8yo nephew. He is the absolute love of my life and he adores me. Hopefully he'll be happy but he may be a little put out. I'm going to buy him a tiny Christmas present 'from the baby'.

Happy birthday HOTB!

Nokkie73 · 25/11/2013 21:10

BOOM twonks is also having a baybee. Brilliant news honkytwonk. I am so so so pleased for you.

S'like baybee central round here Grin

MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 22:05

Am I allowed to just Squeee a little bit more? I can't really believe this is happening, it seemed like we'd never win a baybee and TTCing so very nearly broke us.I feel ludicrously lucky. Yay for all of us.

FrankelInFoal · 25/11/2013 22:09

Squee all you like Winks, it's farking fantastic news Grin

FaithTheVampireSlayer · 25/11/2013 22:19

SQUEE for the entire pregnancy if you like Winks! It's so luffly to see this thread so active :) dusty in here, innit?!

MyNameIsWinkly · 25/11/2013 22:28

Allergies faif, we've all got terrible allergies :) It's brilliant seeing this fred so busy, it used to be a bit of a ghost town.

Night everyone.

FriendofDorothy · 25/11/2013 22:33

It is so lovely to see so many people on here :)

Congrats Winks :)

evilgiraffe · 25/11/2013 22:44

Hooray, winks! Excellent news Grin

HOTB says thank you for birthday wishes :) Flowers

Driz, it's not that my ILs do bad presents, but they are extremely generous. The number and monetary value of the presents they give is vastly more than my family do even for landmark birthdays, so it always makes me feel uncomfortable (and a little inadequate). I have a horrible feeling that they will be even more over the top for grandchildren, and I'm not comfortable with the thought even now. Not least because they will outstrip my parents and HOTB and I... Not that it's a competition, and I'm very grateful for their generosity, but it feels awkward. I suppose I should be pleased that I have so few things to complain about really though, but still can't help but feel Hmm and Blush at present times...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 26/11/2013 07:37

Winks, we told my nephews and niece, who is the Apple of SB's eye and knows and loves it, this weekend. Her brothers were not too bothered, but when SB asked whether she liked our news, we got a NO from the bottom of her heart... It was actually quite funny!

YAY for measuring spot on and for sqeeing all you want!

That is a difficult one, draf. Can you discuss it with HOTB and maybe they can come up with a plan. Perhaps saving for uni or something?
