Morning PESHes, getting ready for work , why do bosses insist on us working two days before Crimbo?!

Those of you that have laid, did you carry your notes around with you and if so from what stage? I'm 30wks tomorrow Shock and think maybe I should start considering a spot of planning.

FriendofDorothy · 23/12/2013 08:17

I didn't carry my notes around with me but then again Guernsey is so small was rarely far from home.

It's my birthday today and I am off for ante-natal bloods. Yay!

FrankelInFoal · 23/12/2013 08:23

Oh Happy Birfday Dor Grin

Welcome ginger!

Happy burfday dor, have a luffly day Xmas Smile

Frank I didn't go very far most of the time (work was 4 miles from home) but if I went any distance I took my notes. I also figured worst case scenario I'd go to the hospital and get my Dad to bring me my notes.

GingerScouse · 23/12/2013 09:17

Happy birthday Dor, I'm 6+2 and due 20th August (I think).

FriendofDorothy · 23/12/2013 09:20

I guesstimate my due date to be 18 December. Think I am exactly 6 weeks today.

FriendofDorothy · 23/12/2013 09:24

18 August I mean!

SinkyMalinks · 23/12/2013 10:05

Bloody hell, we really need o finish this thread so we can add names to the list!

30 weeks Frank! You is properly preggers! (I remain in de nile)

MyNameIsWinkly · 23/12/2013 10:58

dor I only saw your December post and thought 'fuck me, how long does she plan to be pregnant for?!' :)

I have a fair bit to do today, poo.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/12/2013 08:26

Is it possible to feel something at 16+2? I think I might have... Not expected at all, as I was told I have an anterior placenta and would not feel a thing til 22 weeks.

evilgiraffe · 24/12/2013 08:41

The books say movements can be felt from around 16 weeks, but first babies more like 18-20 weeks. Given that and your placenta positioning, maybe it's just wind? Just the possibility of baybee movements is pretty exciting, though :)

SinkyMalinks · 24/12/2013 10:46

My placenta is fundal (so not in the way) but I felt movements just before 16 weeks- although no one believes me because it's number 1!

I have barely contained rage today, which I hope is pregnancy related, otherwise I'm just a mardy grinch.

Not helped as have found out my 28 week bloods are delayed to 31 because of Xmas. And haven't been able to book whooping cough jag. Irritated.

MyNameIsWinkly · 24/12/2013 11:20

Tell us about your rage sinks, it might help.

I am dreading flying Stansted - belfast this afternoon. It had calmed down here but the sodding wind has picked right up again.

SinkyMalinks · 24/12/2013 11:25

Well that's it Winks. No good reason. Just PISSED off.

Meh. Bah humbug.

MyNameIsWinkly · 24/12/2013 11:36

That sounds fair sinks. I feel ok, almost cheerful, on the surface, but there is a simmering pool of hot rage just waiting for the slightest provocation to boil over. Blame the hormones and eat something nice, its Christmas. Or hit something.

MyNameIsWinkly · 24/12/2013 17:32

Landed in Belfast, festivities start here. Merry Christmas PESH!

SinkyMalinks · 24/12/2013 18:15

Glad you made it in one piece!

FrankelInFoal · 24/12/2013 18:17

evilgiraffe · 24/12/2013 23:03

Merry Christmas PESHes!

This is the first Christmas in years that I don't feel really sad. I don't quite know how to cope with it, but it's a nice change :)

GingerScouse · 25/12/2013 03:11

Merry Christmas hags!

Already been in tears once today due to insensitive MIL but hey-ho!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 26/12/2013 13:58

Hope you all had good christmasses!

Same w the first of not being terribly sad, draf! Odd but pleasant!

MyNameIsWinkly · 26/12/2013 15:48

So far so good here! Xmas Smile

pinkr · 26/12/2013 19:57

Belated merry Christmas folks! Had a tiring but lovely day. Little pink was passed around far too much and relatives just would not let her nap...everybody loves a baby eh? ! I was ready to ring the neck of the next person who said 'maybe she'll just nod off,' yes...my overtired baby will nod off as you are jiggling her around and waving toys in her face Hmm
Also my dear dad has asked me whether the baby is getting enough to eat as she seemed really cranky...he'll do anything to try and get her on the bottle. He sounded sceptical when I said she never usually cried so much and it was because of the wee soul being deprived of sleep. Still it was lovely having baby and all family together.

FriendofDorothy · 26/12/2013 21:12

Merry Christmas everyone.

I have just popped on to say that we have more-or-less survived Christmas. My sister and I did really well and cooked dinner yesterday and it was delicious. There were a few tears about Mum but all-in-all we did OK. I am, however, completely fucking knackered.

Still not feeling very pregnant so still testing daily, just using up loads of cheapie OPKs. Does anyone know whether they will just keep showing 2 lines like a pregnancy test?
