Will this do? I bet someone's beat me to it now!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LittleBairn · 21/11/2013 15:12

Oh I might need your skills tomorrow impatient I'm hoping at 17 weeks it will be a clearer shot.

Spirael · 21/11/2013 15:41

The bleeding seems to have stopped now, which is a relief. I'll try and remember it to mention at my MW appointment next month, but I don't think I'll need to give her a call unless it starts up again.

I had my latest scan on Monday (of three so far) and the LO was spot on for dates and busy doing the macarena in there, so likelihood is that they're just fine.

Thanks all for your support. :) It's made it much easier not to worry by being able to talk with you all!

Hee, your DS reminds me of DD, Squiffie! She's been busy telling everyone at nursery that Mummy has a baby in her tummy and that she (DD) is going to be a big sister. The staff eventually approached DH to enquire whether or not this was true, as they weren't sure whether it was just wishful thinking on DD's part!

It saves us needing to tell anyone at least. She'll happily inform everyone we meet. Wink

The actual wishful thinking is that DD is still absolutely, unshakeably convinced that she's getting a baby sister and will not entertain the idea that it might be a baby brother. Hmm We'll find out in a month, so hopefully will have the time (and means) to convince her otherwise if necessary!

Squiffie · 21/11/2013 15:51

impatiently we've decided not to find out the sex at our 20 week scan but I've read the nub theory and I'm happy for people to predict.

Aren't kids just great spirael Wink glad the bleeding has stopped! X x

impatientlywaiting · 21/11/2013 16:28

In that case Squiffie my money is definitely on a girl for that nub.

LittleBairn are you having a gender scan tomorrow? Thats so exciting. I think the nub theory only works til about 14 weeks by 17 weeks it should look like proper bits. On my 16 week gender scan there was no question it was a boy and it was fully formed instead of nub like.

Squiffie · 21/11/2013 16:53

DS really wants a little brother and DH wants a boy too! I think girl too and think I'm going to have 2 disappointed boys in May! X

dobedobedo · 21/11/2013 17:21

impatiently can you see a nub on my scan?

dobedobedo · 21/11/2013 17:24

If not, I have more scan photos! I'm not good with reading black and white blotchy stuff!

LittleBairn · 21/11/2013 17:55

impatient no my scan is to check the the shape of the sac and cervical length. DH doesn't want to know the sex but I'm going to try guess from the scan. Glad to here we might see bits ( TBF DS was delivered st 16 weeks and DH could tell straight off he was a boy) especially as its meant to be a longer scan. Better polish my specs Grin
Thank you you have actually made me quite excited now instead of a nervous wreck about being at that hospital again.

Dylanlovesbaez · 21/11/2013 18:03

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. Still got morning sickness here! Had scan last week, super wriggly uncooperative baby! Have a feeling it's another girl. Was so great to see him/her dancing about. 13 weeks today and feeling bubbles!

impatientlywaiting · 21/11/2013 18:24

Dobe upload your other scan pics if you get the chance as I don't think you can see the nub on yours. Best angle is side on with legs in the air.

Have a look on my pics, it's hard to see on here as the pics are so small, but on my top picture you can see a little line which is more than a 30 degree angle and that's the boy nub.

If you add some others on I'll see if it looks like there is a nub. I'm on the ipad so even though the pics are really small on mumsnet it shows a bit better view.

Little on my gender scan pics you can't see anything from the standard baby on his side view but it was really obvious from the feet up angle, google boy/girl potty shots so you'll know what to look for and maybe be a bit sneaky and ask if baby has 10 fingers and toes in the hope they'll scan it down and you catch sight of the bits. Good luck for your scan tomorrow, focus on the lovely part of seeing baby again.

dobedobedo · 21/11/2013 18:25

As soon as I get home I'll upload the others! There are some lines on the others but I don't know if they're nubs or not.

impatientlywaiting · 21/11/2013 18:26

Congrats on the successful scan Dylan.

Oh just remembered I had my 16 week midwife appointment today. She just ran through my blood results from last time which were all fine and listened to the babies heartbeat which was lovely.

loopylou52 · 21/11/2013 19:39

Good luck for tomorrow little, glad you're feeling excited.

dobedobedo · 21/11/2013 19:55

impatiently I've added the other pics! You probably can't see owt. Let me know if you do.
or anyone else if you fancy it! Grin

Good to hear about your 16 week appt BTW!

impatientlywaiting · 21/11/2013 20:07

Dobe I'm not 100% sure it's a nub, but if it is the nub on the pic I think it's a girl. Think the most likely nub is on the top picture. The whitest line on there. Flatter means girl, an angle of 30% means boy.

dobedobedo · 21/11/2013 20:15

Ahh cool! I have been a lot sicker this time around than with ds so that backs that up too! We'll see if you're right in a month! Smile

moominleigh94 · 21/11/2013 23:01

Thanks everyone for the support and backup :) went to speak to my lecturer today who told me a few things I think I probably already knew - this guy has serious issues, and although he hides it under this rude persona, he actually has what seem to be developmental difficulties, and generally isn't great with social skills - so he genuinely doesn't understand how I can be pregnant and stay at uni, and doesn't know how to ask me politely, which makes sense.

He's also said to keep him up to date with any issues and worries I have about him or anyone else, but he reassured me that the people saying these things don't mean any ill-feeling by them - they have issues that make it difficult to comprehend my situation.

Hope everyone's okay today, all this news of scans and heartbeats is so exciting! Three weeks today until my 20 week scan! Can't wait to find out if Mini Moomin is a boy or a girl!

My blog post on worrying about whether I'll be able to cope is Blog Of The Day on Mumsnet... I had 24 hits on my blog yesterday, today I had 1,000. Where did that come from? Shock

LittleBairn · 21/11/2013 23:16

moomin I'm sorry but your being fobbed off. Even if he has developmental problems he's still expected to abide by the same Conde of conduct.
If you are happy with this reason fine but don't allow yourself to be guilt tripped into not taking it further. Frankly your lecture doesn't sound very helpful and seems to have put it on you to deal with when it shouldn't be your problem in the first place.

moominleigh94 · 21/11/2013 23:21

Little having re-read that I can understand how it seems like I was fobbed off, I genuinely wasn't - the lecturers are going to talk to him and keep a proper eye on it, and if he keeps doing it, they won't allow it - they said I've got their support :)

snoozysleeper · 22/11/2013 04:46

Good morning everyone

Had my scan yesterday and all apparently

snoozysleeper · 22/11/2013 04:49

Good morning everyone

Had my scan yesterday and all apparently ok Smile

The good news is that I'm further ahead than I thought so my due date is even closer Grin Grin

The not-so-good news is that baby was 'too gestation ally advanced' to have Nuchal translucency scan , so will be a blood test next week instead.

14+4

moomin pleased that you've taken action but do follow up if he persists!

hamncheese · 22/11/2013 08:09

Glad you have support moomin

Congrats on the scan snoozy hope the test goes well too

I've had a horrible few days. Hand foot and mouth is, contrary to what the gp said, not a minor rash its a full blown up in the night screaming illness thank you very much. Poor DS he has mouth ulcers can't eat but is starving and has been so grumpy and clingy he didn't nap at all yesterday :( its been majorly stressful. He had a decent night though only up twice and DH got him I didn't even wake I was so shattered. He's gone to mil to give me a break as he seemed at bit better.

Does anyone else find that they have much much less patience and resolve when pregnant? I used to have DS every day all day and coped fine now I'm finding I'm at breaking point after only three days :( really hope its pregnancy not just me.

moominleigh94 · 22/11/2013 08:45

Congrats on the scan Snoozy

Poor you and poor DS hamncheese. I definitely understand what you mean about having less patience; I'm so much tetchier with everyone these days and the slightest thing gets me really wound up - think it's a pregnancy thing so please don't be too hard on yourself!

Irisheyessmiling · 22/11/2013 08:47

Hamncheese I'm hoping so or I've become a very grumpy teacher overnight! Really have to remind self they're only 5 and take lots of deep breaths whereas before everything would have just made me laugh!

and poor dh...he is very very good to me. Just have to remind self of that when I feel he's breathing too loud in his sleep!

Midwife today ( why I'm posting this late in the morning, normally in full flow at school by now!) really really hoping I get to hear the heartbeat, seems like ages til the next scan, just want to hear or feel something!

thistlelicker · 22/11/2013 09:13

None of midwives I see will listen in yet. Say I'm too earlyHmm16+2
