moominleigh94 · 12/11/2013 15:36

Welcome and congrats Clearly Grin

16+1 today and my theatre in education assessment is finally over! No more scriptwriting or rehearsals falling apart because of people stropping, and no more trying to squeeze bump into a blouse and pretending to be an eleven year old Grin

bluestone85 · 12/11/2013 15:37

Welcome ClearlyMoo :)

Ooh Moomin congratulations that that part is over Grin xx

moominleigh94 · 12/11/2013 15:51

Just a 2,500 word essay about it to write now!

And another 2,500 word essay about corporate drama and its benefits...

And the production of Little Shop Of Horrors in 5 weeks time...

And 60 hours worth of work experience, and an essay about that...

And a 10 minute presentation and a 2,500 word essay for another module...

And a 15-minute performance to direct and another bloody essay...

Starting to think maybe taking a year off would've been easier Grin

bluestone85 · 12/11/2013 16:01

Not much to do then Wink

I decided a while ago (before I found out I was pregnant) to take part in the write a novel in a month challenge (nanowrimo.org/). Basically you write 50,000 words in a month and get a certificate at the end. The only problem is, I've been so tired that I haven't been keeping up. I'm on 11,000 words, and my husband is on nearly 18,000 words... that's how far behind I am... eep!

moominleigh94 · 12/11/2013 16:33

I'm doing nanowrimo too bluestone Grin glutton for punishment Grin

I'm currently on just over 18,000, so just about meeting the daily targets Blush

hamncheese · 12/11/2013 17:02

I'm writing a 100,000 word phd (apparently) can I get two certificates?? Wink

I'm craving a made up drink from cbeebies. Bozberryade. Seriously pregnancy!

Who's got stress induced insomnia like me? Make me feel better and tell me I'm not alone. Up for three hours anxious last night. Seems I can only get to sleep if I get upset about it and cry a lot. Which is tiring and pointless but otherwise I stay all jittery. I think I actually am allergic to pregnancy. Going to see a homeopathist about it anyway...

mumof2aimingfor4 · 12/11/2013 17:21

ham for the last few days I have had difficulty sleeping as im anxious about my scan on friday. You are not alone. Ive been craving cheese and pickle sandwiches (I couldnt even stand the smell of branstons pickle till yesterday).

moobaloo · 12/11/2013 17:23

mumof2 My scan is at 2.30pm - eeekkk so much waiting around! Then DPs dad's birthday meal that evening when we are going to tell our parents Grin although I reckon my mum has picked up on the tell tale signs and half suspects anyway

No rest for the preggers, been shifting wood for a fair part of the day! zzz now Smile

dobedobedo · 12/11/2013 17:34

Hey everyone. It's exciting to hear about more scans! I wish I could have another one already.

Work was a bit mental today - we had a guy in our office kicking off and going mad - thing is, he stole my boss's mobile phone yesterday! So my boss was calling the police and I was trying to calm him down and get him to not wreck the place or hit anyone and to stay until the police arrived. It was a bit hairy at one stage! Thankfully the police arrived, cuffed him and arrested him. Phew.

I've had a headache all day so had to relent and buy some paracetamol. I can't wait to go home and try out the products of my slow cooker for the first time! Here's hoping I used it right and haven't burned the house down - I'm not in the mood to deal with anything like that.

LittleBairn · 12/11/2013 18:05

ham I'm exactly the same with the insomnia this week has been bad usually wake about 2am until 5-6am then can't sleep in the day.
It seems to go in phases I sleep badly for a few weeks then have a decent week or two then its back to bad sleeping.
I can't imagine how difficult that must be to deal with caring for a small toddler.

dobe wow talk about drama!

mumof2 funny I've been craving cheese and pickle sandwiches too. Slight problem being the cheese will set of my lactose Intolerance and the pickle my acid reflux. I've compromised with the occasional cheese sandwich with no pickle. I had to force myself not to buy some Bransons otherwise I would have ate the whole jar. Blush
Now I want a cheese sandwich.....

My hips have been better today but the odd twinge across pelvic bone which is new getting concerned this could develop into SPD.

I'm manically deep cleaning the whole house we have the inlaws coming to visit at the weekend.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 12/11/2013 18:14

clearly sorey for being an arse, I forgot to say hi welcome to the maybies. What county are you in lovely lady?

mumof2aimingfor4 · 12/11/2013 18:18

littlebairn we'll have to keep comparing notes on cravings, we'll prob end up both having boys or vice versa. I hated the smell of branstons and have always had to hold my breath when making dp a sandwich as I detested it that much. Then strangely yesterday I got a wiff of it when passing it to him and really fancied it.

bluestone85 · 12/11/2013 18:20

Oh moomin you've put me to shame! I better get cracking!!!!!

Spirael · 12/11/2013 18:34

I've been writing too, bluestone and Moomin! Not for nanowrimo, however. My book is around 68,000 words so far... But I have been writing it for the past two years and planning it for a lot longer. Blush

On the plus side, I'm within a chapter of finishing it. :) Then I just have the four sequels to write...

I've got my next scan on Monday as well bluestone. My third one! I had three in total last time. I was too early for the Nuchal Fold measurements on my scan last Friday, which is why they've called me back.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 12/11/2013 18:36

Ham I've been having stress induced insomnia here too. It's a vicious cycle of being exhausted and not being able to do much, feeling guilty because I can't do anything with my girls, stressed because I'm not getting anything done, staying awake at night worrying about it all then being too exhausted to do anything. :( finally made the decision to defer my uni course till next year (although realistically it's not going to be the year after) I slept so much better last night because I wasn't worrying about it. Feeling gutted tho :(

bluestone85 · 12/11/2013 18:42

Ham if you write 100,000 words for your PhD in 1 month I will certainly give you two certificates.

Spirael oooh not far away then. Though 4 sequels to go through, you are crazy hehehe. I'm getting stuck, but that's because I am just winging it rather that plotting before hand. hahahaha.
That's why I get my other scan as I was only 10 +3 last scan. not complaining though hehe. xx

dobedobedo · 12/11/2013 18:59

Cool we seem to have a few writers! I used to do that, a while ago. Even managed to get an agent but never finished it, life got in the way and (insert excuse here). Maybe when I am on maternity leave I'll get the bug again.
Welcome to the newbie! (should have remembered your name but can I blame pregnancy brain?) x

Xavielli · 12/11/2013 19:59

Welcome clearly

Hope you guys get a decent nights sleep, I get insomnia later on usually and it's miserable.

Still feeling rough and so is ds2 (it's always him!) poor little thing. I have a christening cake to make for Saturday and I just can't be bothered. I'm sure I'll get it done once I start

moominleigh94 · 12/11/2013 20:28

I write fiction but seem to be better at non-fiction... had a few friends on Facebook and acquaintances telling me they're reading my blog and think I should turn it into a book Grin
