There's only one girls name I like toby, and we're team pink so I hope it suits her! I haven't really had any nesting urges yet, I hope I get some as the house is a little messy!

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 14:17

mrsg and toby we only have one name and we know its a boy. We will be buggered if it doesnt suit him! We are now having issues deciding on the middle name....

I have some really strong nesting feelings but no energy to carry them out! Really hope by the time my energy returns my nesting instincts havent buggered off....Wink

Have finally given in and put the heating on....ah snuggly warm house! Bliss! Grin

alteredimages · 08/11/2013 14:32

So glad things went well yesterday space, and how amazing about the butterfly.

another that is so disappointing. I really hope you make it home soon. I feel so sorry for your DD, mine would be the same I think.

toby, enough reminding me about the birth being so soon. Got a real shock at my scan when I saw 32+3 on the screen. Shock been trying to make dh understand that this is the last time too, but he really wants another girl and is not having it. When i pointed out i'd have to make the kids work nights for their school fees he shut up though. Grin

So I waddled to the scan today (feet still sore) on avenue de l'opera and as I took off my coat to sit down in the beautiful, massive waiting room with gilded mirrors I realised that in my rush to get there I was wearing double denim. Blush Hastily put coat back on but I fear the damage was all ready done. A few too many pitying smiles from the rather better dressed parisians today...haha.

All fine at the scan, but just like DH and DD this one has tiny femurs. I might be imagining it, but baby's mouth looked really like their mouths too, which means it will be tiny and rubbish for breast feeding!

BookTart · 08/11/2013 14:35

Yeah, could some of you nesting people come over to mine please? It is covered in mud, confetti and cat hair and I really can't be arsed to sort it out Grin

I have lists of lovely names, but DH has only 1 name for a girl and won't consider anything else. I actually like the name, but not with his surname. Everything I like is rubbish for some reason, so I'm hoping that when she turns up his name doesn't suit her and then I'll be waiting with a handy list of alternatives...

alteredimages · 08/11/2013 14:38

sultana hope the doc helps today. It is horrible being even slightly under the weather when pregnant, never mind properly ill.

I am no longer panicking about having a baby around because I have now remembered that by the time I get to 39 weeks I will be so huge and clumsy that I would do anything to get the baby out!

MrsGSR · 08/11/2013 14:49

sultana the middle name is one we agreed on before ttc! My mum was called Susan, and my MIL is Anne so she'll have Susanne as a middle name after them.

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 14:57

We have the second middle name for either sex sorted (the same name whether it's a girl or a boy), but that's it!

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 16:36

altered double denim! Lol! Glad the scan went well though....

Well the locum dr was just lovely! I want her to stay and be my dr! Grin She completely empathised with everything having had reflux thru her pregnancy and food poisoning too! However the only downer was she prescribed me gross gaviscon liquid. I tried to explain that was a no go after trying it in the first trimester, but somehow she talked me into trying the aniseed one.... Damn it! How dare she be so nice so I couldnt enforce my point. However, I am desperate so will try anything at this point.....

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 16:37

We had a middle name for a girl after DHs nana.....shame we cant transfer it to a boy....Grin

fryingpantoface · 08/11/2013 17:46

We have the middle name, it's my dad's name, but no idea. DS keeps suggesting Percy from Thomas the Tank Engine. That isn't going to happen

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 17:55

Aw bless your DS frying! Thats mega cute of him! Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/11/2013 17:59

another you poor darling. Hope you get home soon, how miserable.

frizz that looks so cute! Well done!

One minute until weekend begins!

BandontheFun · 08/11/2013 18:53

Phew....massive catch up, you guys can talk! Not sure if I can remember everything.

Space that sounds lovely.

Another hope u get home soon, sounds like no fun at all, although like they say best place for you.

Frying I kinda like Percy as a girls name, not sure how DH would feel about it tho, may have to add it to the list, only got like one name that we can both agree on no boys names yet! Way to much pressure, could be the first parenting mistake I make.... Eeeek! Confused

Midwife today, says I'm measuring two weeks ahead kinda just hoping the baby has a had a growth spurt! Check again in 3 weeks. Not convinced about the accuracy. She didn't seem concerned.

BookTart · 08/11/2013 19:08

Glad your doctor was lovely sultana - it makes such a difference.

I like the name Percy frying! If DH gets his way then my little girl will be Persie for short, which is either quite cool and quirky or will just get her beaten up (both points equally valid I think!)

I hadn't even considered middle names. Neither of us has one, but if she gets saddled with a daft first name I think we ought to give her a reasonable middle name :)

I am now officially off work for a week -hurrah! What are you all doing at the weekend?

fryingpantoface · 08/11/2013 19:55

I'm working another long shift tomorrow, then church on Sunday.

i like the name Henry, i also like Toby but dh isn't having any of it

enormouse · 08/11/2013 20:07

Hi all. Hope everyone's well.
I've been a bit gloomy and didn't want to get everyone down hence staying away from the thread. But humpty and alteredimages have persuaded me to rejoin.

Haven't really been enjoying the pregnancy at all and feeling miserable so have been focusing on Christmas and posting mostly on the threads there.

Toothfairy78 · 08/11/2013 20:31

Hey enormousewelcome back.

Don't forget we do a. good line in letting you moan/rage/witter at us, we offer sympathy, hormonal flash mob services, battle cries of "cuntpuffin" and much more, so take advantage.

Lovely to see you.

Is there anything we can do to cheer you up?

Naturegirl82 · 08/11/2013 20:34

Just had mammoth catch up and can't remember much.

sultanajo glad the docs went well.

Dh and I have a long list of girls names to whittle down.

Cockwomble colleague sunk to a new low today and has massively managed to alienate another colleague. Going to chat to my line manager about him next week as I'm concerned about how things will be when I leave. On the plus side may have managed to hand off a couple of my projects. Could have done wirh a run and a large glass of red wine after this week. Still exciting day tomorrow as meeting my best friend for a shopping trip. Not seen her since I was 16 weeks-she is going to think I'm massive Grin

fryingpantoface · 08/11/2013 20:34

Is everything ok Enormouse?

I need people's help in calming down. I thought I had the beginnings of thrush (yey) so ordered some thrush tablets from pharmacy first (used them before, they are ace) they came, took a tablet yesterday. Just found out today that you shouldn't take oral medication for thrush when you're pregnant. Shit. Does anyone know what the crack is with it? Why shouldn't we take it?

MrsGSR · 08/11/2013 21:40

Hope you're ok enormouse

frying is probably one of those things where it's harmless but hadn't been tested properly on pregnant women. Maybe see if you can go to the out of hours GP to get something else prescribed and mention it to them?

lovelilies · 08/11/2013 22:30

there was a girl at dd's old school called Persie, short for Persephone Grin

Spacefrog35 · 08/11/2013 23:25

frying I think it's because in theory the active ingredients can cross the placenta. I'm sure you'll be fine, especially with only one tablet but give the midwife a bell in the morning if you're worried Smile

enormouse welcome back. Have hugs & Cake

Mac2014 · 09/11/2013 07:06

enormouse welcome back and big hugs.

We're off to NCT this morning 930 - 1, going to have to take food! Keep waking up at 3am starving and then need to pretty much eat constantly for the day... It's definitely 3rd tri hunger!

Random question... My yoga class were talking about perineal massage from 32 weeks onwards. Anyone doing this / planning on doing it?

AnotherStitchInTime · 09/11/2013 07:23

Welcome back enormouse, feel free to moan away if it helps to get it off your chest.

sultana glad you are feeling a bit better and doc was nice.

We have a middle name, my maiden name as my brother has no children so I want to pass it on somehow. First names are difficult as both my dd's have very unusual names from other cultures so we need to find something that fits. I had loads of girls names, but finding a boys name is proving difficult.

I quite like percy/persie but won't work for us.

Sultanajo · 09/11/2013 08:20

frying Henry is the name we have.....Grin It has to suit him! Wink

mac I had heard and read about this but subsequently forgotten. Not sure I can reach to do it properly now and for some reason it freaks me out... My mate tore despite doing it because her bubs came out so quickly.....

enormouse! Lovely to hear from you! Grin Feel free to get off your chest how you are feeling. We are all here to empathise and listen!

Well despite me retching after taking the gross gaviscon, I may have to persevere as had a really good sleep last night - first one in Ages and didnt get woken up by stupid heartburn! Grin
