space the day sounded just right. Clearly Idris is still with you.

mrsa sorry that you have had a stressful time. At least there has been the opportunity to do more tests.

Sorry you are back in hospital another

nature i am starting to rethink my leaving date for work. Was planning on dec 20th but starting to get tired and work dont seem to be treating me the same as the last girl who basically got less and less work towards the end and not sure i can keep up this pace until 37 weeks.
Plus my family are coming up on 21st dec for the weekend (it will be our xmas with my side) then it will be xmas day etc and then baby due on 10th jan so not sure when ill have time to relax and make sure we have everything ready.
Might leave on 13th dec or maybe midweek (say 18th) as i have 7 days leave to take.

Hope all else is well. I am so sleepy i cant remember who has said what.

flyawayblue · 07/11/2013 21:54

mrsa glad the answers are reassuring, sounds like a scary time.

space sounds like a perfect day for Idris.

another sorry to hear you are back in, hope you get your mri results soon It's good they are chasing for them.

Sorry if I've missed others brain not working well this evening :)

Completely agree with thinking there's too long left at work. I'm currently planning on working to 37 week's, 20th December, but think that's unrealistic. Might see how much leave I have left and use it to work 4 days a week near the end. Still no where near advertising for my replacement but it's out of my control so trying not to let it worry me.

Being kicked or pushed on my ribs which is a new one.

Looking forward to the weekend, relaxing and seeing friends. Would like to go see Thor but not sure we'll have time.

quackojuliet · 08/11/2013 07:21

Hello all,
Space the funeral you gave Idris sounds beautiful, how amazing to see a butterfly. Don't stop posting on here in the weeks and months...
Frizz and others I'm the same about maternity leave, have put 37 weeks but I am struggling now at just 31. Travelling to work is knackering and I'm not sleeping well. Going to try and talk to my boss about starting earlier. Think 35 wks is more realistic, especially as we have xmas when we're term and it won't be a time we can do the usual relaxing activities you want to do leading up to the birth.
Happy weekend all! At last!

MrsVDB · 08/11/2013 07:41

I'm going off on 20th dec at 35+2. I too am struggling with the commute already but have agreed to work from home 1 day a week which is helping.

I'm off to butlins today for the big reunion (3 nights of 90s bands like 911, bewitched etc). Should be good but will be first time I've driven on motorway for years as dh usually drives us anywhere, have nothing too wear, I'm too tired and will miss dh. But when I stop moping I'm sure it'll be brill!!

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 07:52

For those of us who have 8 weeks or so left, here's something to scare you:
Remember all the bratty moaning I did about my new car and how I didn't want to get one and blah blah?I've had it for 8 weeks Shock
It feels like about 2 weeks.

Anyway, morning!

Flowers for everyone struggling with their last weeks at work. You're legends!

Have a lovely time, MrsV :)

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 08:55

Omg Toby that totally feels like yesterday!!! Plus knowing there are only 7 weeks until my due date is freaking me out! Shock

space so happy things went so well for you yesterday and the little butterfly making his appearance is just amazing....

another noooo - so sorry you are back in. Hope they pull their finger out and find your mri results!!! Have they not seen Greys Anatomy? Dont they know the results are meant to be instant??? Wink Really hope you are released again soon...

mrsa really sorry you have had some worrying results but glad you have had some reassurance... Absolutely nothing prepared me for how stressful and worrying being preggers can be!

another ouchy! That must be really sore. Hugs.

book great all is ok!

nature how are you feeling?

Well if its possible I am feeling worse today. Head was banging all night until around 5am and just couldnt get warm. At one point I really thought I was gonna have to get DH to take me to A & E because I just didnt know what to do with myself and I was worried about bubs (who was kicking away, but I convinced myself it was because he was distressed...).

Thankfully I have the docs appointment this afternoon to discuss the frickin heatburn, so I can talk about this at the same time. So Toby I owe you a massive thank you for suggesting I go to the docs for the heartburn, otherwise I doubt I would have got an appointment this week because they are cuntpuffins

Just need to hope this locum gp knows his stuff and makes me feel better, not worse....

Only one more week of work which is amazing! Bet they are well impressed with me going off sick so close to going on mat leave....Sooo glad I had 4 weeks holiday saved that I could tag onto the start!!!

Really hoping I havent left anyone out...

Oh humpty having a bag with wheels for hospital is an awesome tip! Grin

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 09:05

Bollocks to them not being happy about you going off sick, Sultana. Good luck at the doctor's!
Sorry you're feeling worse, though. Sounds like a really nasty bug :(

DH and I often talk about how long ago things were and whether it seems like a long time ago (if that makes any sense!), so we've taken to doing it about when the baby's here.
It's over 3 months since we went to see Book of Mormon, and that seems like a month ago.
It's a month since my birthday.
Book has been married for a week already.

It's terrifying how fast the time goes.

flyawayblue · 08/11/2013 09:13

hope it goes well at the doctors saltana and boo to stupid bosses.

Toby I don't like that list! It's only a few weeks since you saw the book of morman surely. I refuse to believe anything else Smile .

I've got a day of meetings and traveling. Wish me luck as I could easily fall asleep where I stand and the heart burn is being extra evil this morning.

Swannykazoo · 08/11/2013 09:15

Yikes! This time thing is mad. We had our offer accepted for our house 8 weeks ago and WE MOVE TODAY Grin. I remember thinking "I'll be just short of 32 weeks when we move - I'll be quite organised, serene, ready for birth, fit not a big achey cake-eating pudding
And in another 8 weeks.....I'm sure I'll be quite organised, serene, ready for birth, fit, birth plan and bags packed neatly and sensibly Wink

Space Loved to hear about your butterfly it must have been very very special

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 09:22

Sorry for scaring you, blue!
Good luck with your crappy day. Hope the heartburn eases.

Good luck with the move, puggle! I am jealous. I want to move house!

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 09:25

Good luck flyaway!

puggle and toby. Its so weird the time thing isnt it? Some things feel like just yesterday whereas other things feel like forever ago... like waiting to get through the first trimester! That felt as though it took forever and it feels like forever ago! Our trip to the spa in August feels like a lifetime ago too!

Am picking up the moses basket and car seat bases at the end of November from my mate. I am a tad worried now I am leaving it a tad late as will then need to get a new mattress for it. Really wanted to get the last bits on my list this weekend and start sorting hospital bags....dont think thats gonna happen. Must not freak out! OMG - we are gonna have babies soon! Grin

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 09:33

Going to Westfield tonight to buy some nighties/giant pants/baby clothes/bouncy chair etc.
My mum's buying the crib and the Isofix base for the car seat. Then we just need the sling and a changing bag, and I've found the ones I like on Amazon so we'll order them soon.

I'm going to miss being pregnant, I think. And DH has said he'll miss me being pregnant too. I've told him to make the most of it. It's a one-shot deal :o

TarkaTheOtter · 08/11/2013 09:50

I can't believe how quickly it's gone either. I realised yesterday that I've been pregnant (and known about it) for over half a year now. They're going to induce me in just over 7 weeks!
I'm lucky that I don't seem to have any third trimester woes, but I'm really struggling with a n

TarkaTheOtter · 08/11/2013 09:52

Grrr... I'm really struggling with a non sleeping toddler. Have been up since 4am and haven't had a full 8 (or even 6hrs sleep) for ages. She was sleeping ok so no idea what is up with her.

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 10:16

Toby its weird. I think deep down once bubs is out I will miss being preggers - especially wearing tight clothes over my lovely bump and feeling his kicks and wriggles.... However, I am also looking forward to being able to put socks on by myself again and actually lie down in bed without worrying about sodding heartburn! Grin

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 10:17

Tarka poor u with your non sleeping toddler....

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/11/2013 10:53

space I'm so glad the day went so well, and how lovely of Idris to have sent you a butterfly in November! Clever chap.

I will mention the 'pressure' feeling to mw on Monday - it's only happened the once, but better safe than sorry. If I'm really lucky, she'll have a look up the old fanjo and double check - CAN'T WAIT!

toby you're so right - time has FLOWN this trimester. How am I exactly eight weeks from due date? How? I remember quite clearly whinging about having no bump, and panicking that I hadn't felt movements yet.

puggle good luck with moving - we are finishing our move today, so I get to go home to our new house! DH & his brother are moving the last of the stuff while I'm at work. Can't wait to settle in an nest.

sultana hope you feel better soon - that really does sound grim.

MrsV enjoy Butlins - sounds ace!

tarka how frustrating. Good friends of ours have a toddler and when their baby arrived, they said the toddler went back several months in development (refused potty, wouldn't sleep etc). I think it's quite common, but no less irritating for that.

book glad all is well, but 2.5 hours is crazy! And I quite like that description 'one of those' babies - at least it's not just any old baby it's an M&S baby Grin

16 working days to go! My cover starts on Monday too, so I am mentally putting my feet up and the kettle on. Ahhhhhhhhh Grin. For those struggling with commutes/too much work - do you have leave, and can you take some four day weeks? They have saved my sanity recently. Or work from home one day a week? Otherwise, possibly a cheeky sickie or two is needed.

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 11:32

humpty I remember the days of "wheres my bump" and "was that bubs moving or just wind?"

It really has been an amazing journey!!! Grin

fryingpantoface · 08/11/2013 11:48

Good morning!

I'm at work, on my break, but thought i'd check in. Nesting has started to hit, big time! Yesterday morning I changed around the living room, on my own. Moved the sofa, the toddler's toys and the tv unit etc. Last night I decided all our bedroom needed to be changed around so moved loads myself and just called DH for the bed and bookcase. He wasn't happy I did it, thinks it's not good for the baby all the bending. I also have dizzy spells so maybe see what he means.

I finish work in 5 weeks and 3 hours. Can't wait! I decided to finish earlier because i'm shattered and I want to spend some time relaxing before the baby comes.

Anyone got their baby name sorted?

lovelilies · 08/11/2013 12:22

I've been nesting too frying
dp went mad when I started shifting the double bed Shock
Got a swinging crib instead of a Moses basket this time and was busy building that and putting the bumper in it, I think dd's baby Annabel will be trying it out Grin
we're completely stumped for a name, esp because team yellow Hmm baby is called Pip (because that's how big it was on app when we got the bfp) , so I reckon Pip will stick as a nn anyway Grin Grin
Finishing work bang on 35 weeks, 4 weeks to go, and 2 of them will be 2 day weeks because I've got some annual leave in. Was intending to have an early night tonight but just remembered dd is singing in a concert til 9pm tonight...

Frizz1986 · 08/11/2013 12:50

OMG stop with all these dates!
It feels like only yesterday we were chatting about cars, and book of mormon and how none of us had bumps or felt movement.

Can't believe I am due 9 weeks today! Its getting so real and I am beyond excited.
We have done our nursery as well now and I am so happy with it. It is exactly what I wanted and hasn't cost much either. Some paint and some stickers! (will attempt to put a pic on my photos bit)

I have decided that I am going to finish work now on Wed 18th Dec instead of Friday 20th (Hope they let me as it is a bit random leaving mid week but I have 7 days hol and that would take me to 1st Jan)
Think those 2 days before the family come up and Xmas starts will be really nice and so good to have a 3 day week for my last week.

Hope people have enjoyable weekends. Must dash as my mat cover (a current staff member that is yet to be trained) is off today so I am covering lots and need to destress.

AnotherStitchInTime · 08/11/2013 13:06

On phone as have to stay in my hospital bed. Was due to be discharged this morning then had another bleed. Gutted. Dd1 was in tears this morning because she is missing me, feel so guilty, but there is nothing I can do.

space how lovely to see a butterfly. The butterfly is often seen as a symbol of transformation, perfect for Idris, your little angel. Big hugs.

book glad all is ok.

tarka sorry to hear about your toddler waking. Must be the age, my 20 month old has been bad at night all week due to teething, mind you DH has had the pleasure of dealing with it as I have not been there.

Sultanajo · 08/11/2013 13:12

Bless ya another your bubs is being a pickle! Your poor DD missing you too. Big hugs to you both.

It is like night time outside - gone really dark and started pissing down.... Hoping that stops by the time I have to leave for the docs. Gotta drag myself off the sofa and into a much needed bath first.....Grin

TobyLerone · 08/11/2013 13:42

another, you poor thing :( and poor DD.

I keep meaning to do some nesting but the urge passes very quickly :o

Re names, I'm having a bit of a panic because I only like one name on the girls' list we made. I've gone right off the others. I'm sure it's a boy anyway, but we'll just wait and see. DS didn't have a name for days because we didn't know what to call him. We'd chosen a name, but it just wasn't right for him when he was born.
That's why I'd never choose a name beforehand again.

MrsGSR · 08/11/2013 13:44

I hope you get out soon another, but make sure you relax!

My sister text me this morning to say how fast time has gone, on Wednesday it was 3 weeks until my birthday, which will be 4 weeks until Christmas, which is 3 weeks until my due date!

The posts today have given me flash backs to when Rachel is pregnant in friends and goes from talking about how wonderful and fast pregnancy has been to how annoying everything is now she's overdue, in just a few days. We might all be singing a different tune in 7 to 12 weeks!
