frying, Toby is a great name Wink
I reckon MrsG is right about the tablets not having been tested on pregnant women. I probably wouldn't worry. Doctors tend to prescribe things in the 3rd trimester that they wouldn't have prescribed before because the baby's done most of its important development.
Also, it's done now. Nothing you can do. So no point in panicking and making yourself worried.

Welcome back, enormouse. We're always here if you feel down and want to have a moan. I'm sorry you're having a hard time Flowers
Stay with us, k?

Persephone is also on our girls' list and I love it, but I'd better steer clear in case book and I become post-birth BFFs Wink

I like a maiden name as a middle name, another. The second middle name we've decided on for either sex was my nana's maiden name. I don't care much for mine and it doesn't have much meaning for me, so I wouldn't use that. But DD was named after my nana, and my sister has her middle name, so I think it'll be nice to round it off by using her last name!

Have a lovely time at NCT, Mac Envy
No perineal massage for me, I don't think!

Have a lovely day shopping, nature :)

How are you feeling today, sultana? How's the Gaviscon?

TobyLerone · 09/11/2013 08:21

Xposted. Glad you got some sleep!

quackojuliet · 09/11/2013 08:24

Percy makes me think of thomas the tank engine - was one of them called that or am I nuts? I like the name thomas actually...
We have a name and middle name in mind, dh and I could only agree on one name (we know its a girl).
But if it doesn't suit her she shall remain nameless while we fight it out...
Mac I've heard about this too,one of my pg books has instructions...sounds v glamorous.
Right - brekkie and then I'm off to yoga!

BookTart · 09/11/2013 10:04

toby, at least she'd have one friend that didn't beat her up for having a daft name Grin

TobyLerone · 09/11/2013 10:06

:o I think it's beautiful. And whether we have a boy or a girl it won't have a particularly 'normal' name. Maybe they can beat each other up :o

flyawayblue · 09/11/2013 10:25

I like the name Percy Smile

Thinking of names we really like Annabel but just discovered the dolls, would we be opening her up for ridicule?

Having a lovely day looking at baby clothes with ears and packing up the crib to take home. All so much more real with little things..

fryingpantoface · 09/11/2013 10:44

I love the name Toby.
Percy was from Thomas the tank engine. DS called Thomas, Tercy. :) May have just outed myself...

fryingpantoface · 09/11/2013 10:45

I like the name Annabelle, I think it's beautiful

enormouse · 09/11/2013 10:57

Thanks guys, just feel a bit run down and low on iron but can't get drs to prescribe it so I'm soldiering on and trying to field an extremely lively 2 year old and write essays at the same time.

Ewan (DS1) turned 2 almost 2 weeks ago so we threw him a gruffalo themed party and he's now firmly into his terrible twos. With a lovely sense of drama I'm assuming comes from his dad.

Btw, I love the name Toby. And Henry is lovely too. I wanted to call sproglet Felix but it's too cat foody apparently. So we've agreed on Callum. I think it matches Ewan quite well. I think annabelle is very pretty.

enormouse · 09/11/2013 10:59

I think baby annabelle the doll has been around for ages. I remember it being in the argos catalogue when I was tiny.

fryingpantoface · 09/11/2013 11:18

Enormouse - DS loves the Gruffalo, he's also hit the terrible twos! Seems like he's hit it running... such fun! He turned two in Sept, so sounds like we have similar ages of kids.

I like Felix, I also like Oscar. DH isn't convinced with any of the name choices. I had to fight for the name Ethan (ds). Crazy man

enormouse · 09/11/2013 11:45

It seems so. Are you expecting another boy too? I was buying Lego for Christmas and was struck by the realisation that my life would be full of lego and Dr who and general chaos from now on and I'd be outnumbered by men in my own house.

Dp says he doesn't like x name or y but he doesn't contribute anything else either. I've has Oscar vetoed for being too cat as well. And Archie for being too dog (though that actually is my dogs name - I thought it could be like an Indiana Jones sort of thing!)

Frizz1986 · 09/11/2013 11:51

I am loving all the names.
There are quite a few i like ie Henry (cant have as nephews middle name) ethan (its too common round by me now) edison (not keen on eddie as a nickname)

We think we have chosen 2 girls names and 2 boys names. Would really like some more names on the list in case none of them suit.

I am not allowed to tell anyone in rl but i am sure its ok on here.....

Aurelia Joyce or Eleanor Joyce for a girl.
Joyce is my nans name. At the moment i am swaying towards Aurelia but people might see it as a bit random.

Miles Brian or Alexander Brian Rory for a boy.
Brian is dhs grandpa and rory is my grandad. Well actually it was Adolf as he was swiss but as it was wartime when he came over he got a more suitable nickname that stuck. We cant have just the Brian for Alexander as surname starts with a H and i cant have ABH lol.

GummiBear74 · 09/11/2013 11:55

Ha ha! I actually do have a cat called Oscar Grin

Toby is great, so is Thomas, which is the name of my nephew.

We started thinking of names very early because I was sure it would take us ages to agree, but DH suggested Annabel and I really like it for loads of reasons. Good thing, because we don't have a back up! Can we please share it flyaway?

I have also worried about the dolls, but decided it wasn't important in the end. Definitely Annabel rather than Annabelle, too, I think it's a bit less girly. And so many different ways to shorten it if she wants to.

fryingpantoface · 09/11/2013 11:57

I am! Another boy, i'm really excited about it. I'm the one who wants to hike through mud and storm castles at night (childhood coming out there)

DH hasn't suggested any, just knocks my suggestions back. It's really annoying!

I thought it could be like an Indiana Jones sort of thing had me chuckling

GummiBear74 · 09/11/2013 11:59

frizz, Eleanor was one of mine that DH vetoed, although I like the alternative spelling of Elinor. And Alexander was going to be our boy name!

Frizz1986 · 09/11/2013 12:12

gummi dh has vetoed most of the names i suggest and like everyone else he doesn't actually suggest any other than wolverine lol.
I just really hope that we stick to these ones and just add a few more. We seem to change our minds so much that I am worried we will go off our names before bubs arrives and we'll have none left.
Am hoping dh lets me tell my folks and sister at xmas what our names are...

TarkaTheOtter · 09/11/2013 12:44

frizz we have quite similar name taste. At the moment we are thinking Alex for either a boy or a girl. I LOVE Aurelia and would have called DD it but dh vetoed. I only he didn't get a say...

TobyLerone · 09/11/2013 12:55

Aurelia is on our list, too. I really like Aurelie but in England it sounds like 'orally' :(

Love Rory. And I have a lovely friend called Elinor.

quackojuliet · 09/11/2013 13:00

My husband is spanish speaking so as our daughter will be bilingual we have to find names that work in both languages. Whittles it down quite a bit, but we've settled on Sofia as it's pronounced the same in both spanish and english. Hope it suits her.
Our fave boy name was Matias for similar reasons.
I love the name Toby, annabel is very cute - shortened to Bell for teenage years if she's a tomboy..

fryingpantoface · 09/11/2013 13:41

I love the name Rory.

I'm holding out for Henry or Toby. I don't think it'll happen

enormouse · 09/11/2013 13:49

Ooh Rory was on our shortlist too fryingpan as was Arthur. Can you tell I live in a Dr who obsessed house?

DSs contribution to the name list was 'the doctaaaah'. Which needless to say, we're not going with.

BookTart · 09/11/2013 13:59

I wanted Jasper for a boy, but DH said no. He also said Sebastian was 'too gay' Hmm but suggested Byron instead, because clearly that is somehow more heterosexual. Idiot.
My girl's list had things like Iris, Violet and Ruth, but apparently they were all rubbish as well. I love Annabel. quacko my niece and nephew have one English and one Spanish-speaking parent - niece is called Audrey but nephew was nearly called Bela! He wouldn't have got any stick for that at school in East London, oh no!

TobyLerone · 09/11/2013 14:28

Sebastian is on our list. DH is pretty gay, though :o

Iris is one of DD's middle names. I love it.

GummiBear74 · 09/11/2013 14:53

It seems that as a general rule, men are far clearer on what they don't like than what they do!

Lol, book, Byron scores much higher on my gay scale than Sebastian, as well! Sebastian is great, by the way. Can't you do some research and see whether you can find some really butch Sebastians and maybe change his mind?

quacko, we're in the same situation, but with Dutch and English. That's why I thought we'd never find anything. Sofia is really pretty!
