Happy birthday tooth :)

I hope toby, sultana and nature have better days today!

I ordered a maternity coat after being a little cold at the fireworks display on Saturday, £6 second hand Gap coat from eBay, it's just arrived and is actually really nice.

Naturegirl82 · 06/11/2013 15:13

Just woken up from a nap to find 10 urgent emails from work. Urgh, so much for not working a full day. Sad

BookTart · 06/11/2013 15:28

nature did you end up taking the time as sick leave? If you did, don't you DARE answer those emails! Grin

fryingpantoface · 06/11/2013 15:44

A bit of a personal question, but has anyone else got a swollen fanjo? Mine is so swollen it feels like a bowling ball is between my legs and it just has a dull pain constantly on the hairline along the actual lips.

anyone else?

babycakemumma · 06/11/2013 15:58

Girls I caught the kids lurgy! Feeling very sorry for myself. I need to hibernate.

Baby us nice and wriggly and I'm 30 weeks today so it's not all bad.Grin

lovelilies · 06/11/2013 18:14

How are your BHs toby?
ive been having them a lot this afternoon since dp came home and we had some duvet timeWink

Mac2014 · 06/11/2013 18:16

Happy birthday tooth hope you're having a fab day.

This thread moves way too fast for me to keep up with the detail on my mobile (nothing to do with my ever failing memory!)... I only check in a couple of times a day and there's loads of extra pages filled... A very chatty lot!

Hope all are well, hugs to those that need them and high fives to peeps with good news or escape stories.

BookTart · 06/11/2013 18:30

frying yes, I have had that on and off for a while Blush

peanut glad you're feeling a bit better now, but that doesn't sound like fun at all.

TobyLerone · 06/11/2013 18:43

Duvet time lovelilies :o
I always get loads of BHs after duvet time. DH says my bump's gone into defence mode :o

The contractions definitely seem like there are fewer of them today, which is good. Hopefully they'll settle back down to painless, normal BHs soon.

Naturegirl82 · 06/11/2013 18:57

Just finished the stupid emails. book I told my manager I would work from home but would probably not manage a full day and would take some time off sick. Never mind, I still got to have my nap.

flyawayblue · 06/11/2013 19:14

toby glad your contractions eased off today, they need to stay gone for a few weeks.

humpty well done on standing up to your boss, I need to channel some of that :)

nature be careful your work don't take advantage, if your taking time off as sick then there should be no contract after the initial email / call.

Still so tired all the time and baby is taking up all my food space so eating is really hard.

Also had my mother rant and hang up on me last night over my uncle's key's. Then I realised that she never asks how things are going or how baby is. Had enough and won't be following the normal pattern of apologising for her imagined slight and pretending it's all my fault.

On a lighter side, standing up straight looking down who can still see their toes Smile

Peanutsmummy2be · 06/11/2013 19:15

That took a while....theres been alot happening...
Thanks book Grin
Happy Birthday tooth Thanks
Hope you are feeling a bit better sultana?
Hope contractions settle Toby?
Think i'll give the raspberry leaf tea a bash...sounds yummy.
Oh & like the sound of these padsicle things.....might attempt them at a later date Grin
Everyone seems very organised...i only bought my hospital bag on sat (nice big black leather one from primark for only £10 & its Hugeee!!!) Smile Thats me officially on hols for 5 weeks then mat leave starts....quite daunting to think thats me finished work until next year Shock xx

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 06/11/2013 19:18

frying Yup, me too. Had to look it up as I felt like a mutant and was too embarrassed to ask anyone! Seriously, I had none of these weird issues first time around. Last week I peed myself a bit in the organic aisle of the supermarket after a particularly vigorous cough. Oh, the glamour.

Little one is currently rolling for Britain in there. Looks like something out of Alien, and doesn't feel too pleasant at times, like someone shoving their finger in my belly button.

DD has revised her previous name choice from Chloe to Bluebell. Hmm

Happy birthday tooth!

TobyLerone · 06/11/2013 20:04

Purple why didn't I think to look on here/ask you lot? Instead I told DH to see if it looked weird Blush

I really must start buying stuff for my hospital bag, even if I don't actually pack it yet!

enjoyingscience · 06/11/2013 22:03

Happy birthday tooth

Hope you're on the mend sultana and toby - those contractions can bugger right off.

I've just finished work too nature, working super late for the third time this week, and I'm there all day saturday. I'm a bit fed up, and still behind on my work. At least my mat cover starts on Friday, so I'm hoping she can lighten the load a bit until I leave.

flyaway sorry your mum isn't being very supportive. Well done for seeing it for what it is though.

I'm not sure I've had many BHs this time round - and I'm not getting enough duvet time to make any assessment there. It's all a bit too much like hard work to be honest Wink.

Spacefrog35 · 06/11/2013 22:32

tooth sorry I'm so late but Happy Birthday Thanks

Hope everyone else is feeling better/less stressed.

xx

Toothfairy78 · 06/11/2013 23:13

Evening you gorgeous lot!

Thank you for all the lovely greetings. Had a very nice day indeed. As expected an entire department of engineers is very easily bought with cake and they made a right fuss! Came home to a big ol bunch of flowers from lil bro and nice message from other bro. DH took me out for dinner in Windsor, I had ribs. Omnomnom!

Currently sat having a tiny little sip of beer from DH's bottle.

peanut sorry to hear you got sick. I hope you're getting your strength back up!

another glad to hear you're home!

Hoping the lurgies sod off soon for those of us festooned with bugs, and that any overly demanding cockwomble bosses back the hell off tomorrow, else we all form the hormonal flash mob and give them what for! Grin

Right, I need to have little word with ToothJr about poking me in the ribs. It's definitely naughty.

Happy birthday tooth Hope it has been fab!

God ive missed a lot today, its just been so busy.......

frying totally YES! I only noticed it the other day and got a mirror out to see why i was so achy. Things are looking rather different downstairs and so i had to google it lol. Seems its totally normal but maybe telling dh was a bad idea as he looked at me a bit weird.

toby glad the contractions seem to be going.

Sorry nature and sultana and baby for the illness. Hope it goes away fast and nature dont let work take advantage.

another glad u made it out!

Well done humtpy for taking charge of the boss!

God i know i have missed loads more but busy day at work, 31 week midwife (all ok, baby is head down atm and am current slap bang on the average bump measurement line thing. Midwife predicts boy 7lbs 4. Ill take that!) and then nct tonight.

In case i dont manage to get on here, space i hope everything goes well for you all tomorrow and you are able to remember Idris in the exact way you want to.
I'll be thinking of you.

extracrunchy · 07/11/2013 00:12

O.M.G. You lot can talk! Can't keep up!

Tooth glad your bday was ace!

All those managing "duvet time" - how??? I must be the worst wife in history...

Frying YY to giant fanny Blush

Those who offered belts - thank you so much, so sweet of you but only just checked in and bought one this morning!

Peanut sorry to hear you've been poorly. Sultana - are you feeling any better?? Seems to be the week for tummy trouble.

Nature (I think??) my work have been the same - I took a morning off and was just bombarded with emails and then texts when I didn't respond immediately. Bah.

Ummmm can't remember what else! I am so tired but can't bloody sleep cos our stupid memory foam mattress cover is stuck at the dry cleaners and without it, bed is like a spongy bog and I wake up heaving myself out of it to turn over every 40mins or so! Grr.

Space will be thinking of you and DH and Idris tomorrow xx
