TobyLerone · 05/11/2013 20:30

I'm sitting in my lovely new rocking chair with my feet up watching Kardashians. I couldn't be more relaxed :o

Toothfairy78 · 05/11/2013 20:48

Kardashians toby?

A fine choice, I (very quietly) approve. Sshhhh.
Hope those contractions settle down. Xxx

Baking is going well, but I'm stressed as my brother who has mental health problems is being a dick. Oh, I hate it! :(

BookTart · 05/11/2013 20:50

Cheers everyone. It was one of those horrible, slow motion accidnts where you know immediately you've done something stupid. I was doing about 1 mile an hour, so I'm totally fine.

toby have you been in touch with maternity day care? Might it be worth getting checked again just in case?

The cats are now all back in, and DH got to set fire to things in the garden. Woo!

extracrunchy · 05/11/2013 20:52

Tarka what does raspberry leaf tea do??

TobyLerone · 05/11/2013 21:24

I just can't be arsed to go back to hospital where they can't/won't do anything anyway. The baby is kicking the crap out of me, so it's happy enough. The second they become regular instead of sporadic, or if it goes on past tomorrow night, I'll go.

Last time they were pretty useless, so I don't quite trust them. The midwives were lovely, though.

TarkaTheOtter · 05/11/2013 22:05

extra raspberry leaf is supposed to tone the uterus (whatever that means). Apparently should make contractions more effective so labour shorter. I like the taste so drank loads once past 30/32 weeks with dd and I did have a very short active stage of labour (20mins). It's probably a coincidence (and I was on the syntocin drip which might make a difference) but since I like it anyway I'm happy to drink it.

extracrunchy · 05/11/2013 22:19

Ooh sounds good! I might invest in some then!

TobyLerone · 05/11/2013 22:24

I took raspberry leaf capsules with DD and the pushing stage was very short. I always thought it was about 34 weeks to start taking it?

AnotherStitchInTime · 05/11/2013 22:35

Evening all, I am free at last! Grin. Got discharged earlier this evening and was home in time for dinner and bedtime with my girls.

Sorry to hear you are feeling ill sultana, hope it passes soon.

nature are you feeling better now?

toby glad to hear you are taking it easy, hope the contractions ease off soon.

book sorry to hear about your prang with the car, enjoy the fireworks.

extra the terrible twos are tough at any time, let alone when you are pregnant and in the last trimester, my solution is chocolate and alcohol free wine.

Very impressed by all the sewing, I think I might start knitting again as it might give me something to do if I get re-admitted to hospital.

TobyLerone · 05/11/2013 22:36

Congratulations on your release, another!

Toothfairy78 · 05/11/2013 22:59

Oh book you poor dear!

I did exactly the same thing some weeks ago. It sucks how being pg makes everything seem twice as stressy!

Try and get some rest. It won't seem so bad in the morning.

BuntCadger · 05/11/2013 23:52

I've been up local unit tonight as reduced movements. Baby has moved head down and facing my spine so kicks are inwards. Trace was all fine. Very relieved, x

extracrunchy · 06/11/2013 01:01

Glad all's well, Bunt! And perfect position (if it stays that way)!

Think I'm going to get a support belt tomorrow. Bump is so heavy and I'm so uncomfortable. Although is it worth it with only 6ish weeks to go..?

Another glad to hear you're home! And thanks for the support Smile

TobyLerone · 06/11/2013 07:33

Happy birthday, tooth! Hope you have a lovely day :) Cake Flowers

Sultanajo · 06/11/2013 07:34

Happy birthday tooth! Hope your colleagues appreciate the cake!

nature how are u feeling today?

Toby how are the contractions?

Well this is definitely a bud as DH started vomming last night and is off with me today. For the first time in forever I have called in sick.....

Shitty night of heartburn and backache (oh and throwing up on the floor - oops!) Too scared to take Rennies, but have managed to nibble a plain cracker this morning, so will see what happens....

There is another breast feeding class in a couple of weeks apparently so will hopefully go to that.....

TobyLerone · 06/11/2013 07:38

Oh, sultana, you poor thing :( and poor DH too. Hope you feel much better very soon Flowers

Contractions are quiet for now, but I'm still in bed so we'll see what happens when I get up!

Sultanajo · 06/11/2013 07:43

Fingers crossed they stay quiet toby!....

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/11/2013 08:25

Happy Birthday tooth! Hope it's a lush day today.

book ouch - I have been there. Not an experienced driver, drove around a hairpin bend out of a carpark (up a steep incline, so I was worried about keeping going forwards!) and just didn't stop when I could see the front right corner was going to hit the wall. It did. 560 EUR of damage (on holiday, rental). DH was SO CROSS Grin. But I was driving so he could drink that night, so he was trying not to be...

sultana hope you start to feel better soon - how miserable.

another YOU ARE FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Glad you're out safe.

bunt phew - and hope she stays like that.

extra I tried one - it was 'one size fits all'. It bloody doesn't. Can I post you the one I have? It just wouldn't go round my fat arse at any angle, but I think it would do on a smaller person (I was a 16 pre-preg). You're more than welcome to it, I won't get any use out of it! PM me your address if you'd like it.

toby fingers crossed for a quiet day with no contractions for you.

I am going in late today - for ONCE stood up to dickhead boss, and said that if I had to work late at an evening event tonight, for no overtime and no TOIL, I was going to come in late to compensate. He agreed (I think he is scared of me Grin)
Packing the last of our stuff for moving today, hurrah!

Naturegirl82 · 06/11/2013 08:26

Congrats on your release another

Fx the contractions stay away toby

Poor you and Dh sultanajo hope the bug passes quickly.

Hope your feeling better about the car book

Happy Birthday tooth

I'm still feeling rubbish. Couldn't face getting out of bed this morning so staying at home again. But I think I'll actually try and take time off sick today so I can sleep rather than just working a full day from home.

Mythreeknights · 06/11/2013 08:27

toby and sultana thinking of you in your current slightly shitty predicaments. Really hope both sickness and contractions stop altogether today...you are making me nervous.

book bad luck with car prang...it's been so icy here I have been nervous of the same. Glad you are ok.

Mythreeknights · 06/11/2013 08:28

And happy birthday tooth !! Have a wonderful day Cake

BookTart · 06/11/2013 08:53

Happy birthday tooth! Have some imaginary Wine

Hooray for the successful escape another!

Glad all is well bunt - the movement thing is so stressful but it sounds like BabyBunt is ready to launch :)

extra I have a Cantaloop belt that I am too fat for and have only worn once. I think it is a medium - I'm happy to send it to you if that helps.

sultana you poor, poor thing. I hope you feel better soon.

toby hope the contractions stay away. Can you go back to bed if not or have you got another busy day?

I'm really worried that my brain is falling to bits so fast that I'm going to be no good at work (or driving there!) very soon. In theory I have another 5 weeks to go with next week as holiday, but I really wish I didn't. They appointed maternity cover tomorrow, so maybe I could go a bit earlier? I don't know how to do that though.

GummiBear74 · 06/11/2013 09:26

Poor sultana, that sounds really unpleasant. I hope both of you make a quick recovery.

Congratulations on your freedom, another

extra, forget about a bump belt, I think I need a bump BRA! Maybe I could attach braces to a belt...

book, I managed to scrape my car on the corner of the house across the road a couple of years ago. Obviously it wasn't my fault, because the house had clearly moved Blush

Happy birthday tooth Cake

TobyLerone · 06/11/2013 10:01

No going back to bed for me today, sadly. I've already taken DS to the orthodontist, then I'm going to Matalan and food shopping and then got to take DD to the orthodontist this afternoon!

Sorry you're feeling crap, nature :(

Well done for standing up to knob boss, Humpty :o

Sultanajo · 06/11/2013 10:07

Meant to say Hurray for your release finally another! About time! Grin
