sultana I definitely waddle now. Said to dh the other day 'I'm must be swinging my arms more when I walk than I was as I keep hitting people' he said (without looking at me so must have thought it before) 'yes your properly waddling now'!!!

I can't find nicer bras in posh shops which are padded h or above. I've been to rigby and peller a few times and tried on everything in bravissimo. So went with the m&s one tshirt bra I'm also not ready for underwired. I think as long as they fit ok should be fine

TarkaTheOtter · 31/10/2013 12:41

Hi twinkle!

I'm still in regular bras too toby. I think because I've lost weight and it's not been that long since I last stopped feeding I've not really changed size.

MrsGSR · 31/10/2013 16:00

I forgot to say, on the first aid course last week the guy told us about a 'baby and chid first aid' app the Red Cross have released. I'm only just downloading it (as I forgot!) but he really recommended it, and it's free :) there's a general first aid one too.

TobyLerone · 31/10/2013 16:21

Hi twinkle :)

I will get on that, MrsG. Thanks!

Sultanajo · 31/10/2013 16:29

Grin MrsV

That's awesome MrsG! Thanks. Have just downloaded it! How are you feeling?

Sultanajo · 31/10/2013 16:29

Welcome Twinkle by the way. Smile

flyawayblue · 31/10/2013 18:26

Toby nearly spitting out my juice over monoboob, brilliant!

MrsADB we sound quite similar normally a 28gg but now wearing the r&p 'fitting' 30g .. don't want to spend bravissimo prices for something that will change so quickly.

Will give the m&s links a go and try the t-shirts with in built support again - never found them very good but them never had a reason not to wear underwire before.

On the useless boss front I had the head of HR asking me when I was off and if they were replacing me today as he hadn't seen anything. I work for a London uni so not normal for the head of HR to query things! Hopefully this will kick useless boss up the arse...

Also got to meet one of the new people they have employed to do something that isn't my job at all but that I've done for 5 years. Funny how they've ignored me saying it's another job until I go on maternity leave and they get scared no-one else can do things...

Toothfairy78 · 31/10/2013 18:27

Wow! 4, yes FOUR, new ladies!

Congrats, welcome and how nice to have you to twinkle!

humpty I take it DH is in good spirits then? Grin

I had my 31 week visit with the lovely lady Dr today. ToothJr has head down, right down at bottom of the bump, squiggling and kicking. Fundal height 32cm so spot on. Everything else is in order too.

mrsG this first aid app sounds good. Think I'll go investigate!

Hi twinkle and thanks MrsG will have a look :)

BookTart · 31/10/2013 18:28

Happy Halloween everyone! I've spent the morning getting married, and now we're watching horror films and waiting for trick or treaters Grin

I was a G cup before I got up-duffed so am now officially HUGE, and I've struggled to find anything even vaguely nice, underwear-wise. I've got a couple of non-wired bras from M&S, a couple of old-lady style Triumph ones, and a great black set from Hot Milk. Does the name of that company squick anyone else out, or am I just being weird?

Swannykazoo · 31/10/2013 18:34

Hi flyaway By R&P do you mean Rigby & Peller? Gosh I thought they were superexpensive (having never looked) and just grit teeth in Bravissimo and get card out. I've rationalised it in my head as G and above bras need much more construction and fabric than your fiddly little A+B cups not that I'm jealous (34/36G just now, used to be 34E)

How does it work with nursing bras then? Do we just buy a couple of cup sizes up and hope for the best? Can't imaging anyone wanting us in their shops with screamy 3 day old babies getting measured....And what if there was a bit of leaking when you were trying them on? eeeuuugghhh

Hi to all newbies by the way

Swannykazoo · 31/10/2013 18:35

Booktart congrats - cool wedding date
I am totally icked out by Hotmilk. Bleugggh. I can only assume the concept was a task from The Apprentice at some point

Toothfairy78 · 31/10/2013 18:37

Ooh congratulations book! ThanksWine

And yes I'm not sure about the "hot milk" name either. Not sure why.

Had my 28 week midwife appmt today and finally saw the same midwife! Anti D injection in my bum - was expecting it in my arm but nevermind! Recorded the baby's heartbeat for my DH, still sounds like a galloping horse! so cool. Measuring 2 weeks under but the midwife didn't seem worried.

Arent you meant to get measured for nursing bras at 37/38 wks - I think the shop assistants just guess but maybe there is more to it than that!!!

TobyLerone · 31/10/2013 18:48

Congrats, Book! Lovely cake, btw :o

Hot Milk grosses me out too. I bought a dress from them and it came with a hanger and any time I hang anything on it I'm vaguely disgusted.

TobyLerone · 31/10/2013 18:51

You have no idea how big your boobs will get when your milk comes in, Percy, so I can't imagine how you'd get measured before that happens.

Once it comes in (at 3-ish days), your boobs will be enormous and like rocks. It's best (IME) to wait a week or so (it's not like you're likely to be going many places in the meantime, so you can make do with vests or something) until they settle down a bit and then get measured. Or measure yourself then and order some online.

Percypiglet · 31/10/2013 18:51

Yes, sorry Congrats Book.

TobyLerone · 31/10/2013 18:52

When I say "you have no idea" I don't mean "you're an idiot", btw Blush

I mean you're probably right that the shop assistants guess!

I'll shut up now...

Percypiglet · 31/10/2013 18:52

Boobs like rocks sounds disgusting. This does worry me! Sure I read somewhere like mothercare about going to get measured beforehand, all seemed a bit like random guesswork, like you say!

Percypiglet · 31/10/2013 18:53

I didn't take offence!!

TobyLerone · 31/10/2013 18:53

Good :o

Angelesque · 31/10/2013 19:00

ami glad to hear hypnobirthing is going well and you've gears good things... Going to have to steel myself to ignore anything like "poor people think poor", I mean, WTF?!!!!

Angelesque · 31/10/2013 19:02

...and congrats book! How exciting!

MrsGSR · 31/10/2013 19:03

Congrats book :)

I'm feeling a lot better thanks sultana :)

Percy the assistant in moderate told me I should be measured at 38 weeks for nursing bras too. They don't do my size in store anyway so I'm going to wait and see what happens! Currently a 34H, I'm glad my backsize (phone tried to correct to backside, I'm not glad about that!) has finally gone up as finding cheap large bras in a 30 was a nightmare.

I'm quite impressed with the app, have downloaded it onto DHs phone to!

MrsGSR · 31/10/2013 19:03
