Chelsealady · 26/10/2013 21:48

I officialy found my first stretch mark today not happy :(

Stom91 · 26/10/2013 21:53

I thought I'd got away with it too Chelsea but they've all appeared at once. :(

Just at the hospital being checked as think my waters maybe leaking. Just on the monitor. They said for 20mins but it's been over an hour. They are busy though just feel bad if I've wasted their time x

Alyssa1978 · 26/10/2013 22:35

stom hope you and bub are ok, I was on the monitor for over an hour too Hun, they were just really busy but there is no such thing as wasting their time when it comes to you and bub.

bohemian thank you Hun, I couldn't bring myself to burn the rice though lol, everywhere I've read says midwives say not go use raspberry leaf before 36ish weeks but apparently it's not meant to put you into labour just prepare the uterus so you have a shorter second stage of labour, but I thought I'd be a bit naughty and start it early Blush

Stom91 · 26/10/2013 22:48

Yeh. I'm off the monitor now. Just waiting for the doc he's doing a c section at the mo.
Heard a couple babies being born :)
Not looking forward to the spectrum!!

Alyssa1978 · 26/10/2013 23:13

That's like de ja vu stom my doc was doing one too lol.
Just think at least after the swab you'll know if it was your waters leaking or not.....thinking of you, let us know you're both ok

MrsShrubs · 26/10/2013 23:18

Hope both stom & alyssa are doing okay!!

Had a fab day today, had my first baby shower back at my parents with the people I grew up with and then have another one where I live now in a couple of weeks. My mum did such a great job organising it all today and had such a giggle, both me & baby shrub have been thoroughly spoilt.

Stom91 · 26/10/2013 23:25

Docs been. Says doesn't look like my waters are keeling. All looks fine. The spectrum hurt! And has made me bleed a tiny bit and now my fanjo hurts.
I said I'm hyper mobile and he actually took it seriously and said you know your at risk or early labour. Unlike the other doc a few weeks ago that fobbed me off!
They said I didnt waste their time and are glad I came in. And if I'm worried again to call.

Dp was abit disappointed that they didn't say we need to deliver now. Bless him.

Chelsealady · 26/10/2013 23:33

stom iv given up on bio oil coco butter and all the rest....my belly is huge im measuring alot bigger than i should so i new it was going to happen. Faced reality and just keep telling myself every mark is worth it!

Alyssa1978 · 26/10/2013 23:36

That's good to hear stom make sure you rest when you get home. What does hyper mobile mean??

So jealous of your baby shower mrs so glad you enjoyed it. I've never ever had one Sad hinted enough lol but all anyone ever says is....baby gets plenty of stuff when he's here. Yes but I would love to know what pampered feels like Hmm

chelsea I never had any stretch marks wih first 2 but I've spotted some low down on my bump with this one, I think it's because I've carried really low from the start. I'm shoving the cocoa butter on all the time now and hopefully it'll stop them from getting worse.

Chelsealady · 26/10/2013 23:46

alyssa I am the same I noticed really low under my belly i have them and also around my belly button. I have a wierd feeling i will get loads once she is born as i had them before i was pregnant from the age of 16. I was a size 14 and went down to a size 8 and had them all over my hips:(.

Quick question...does breAst feeding help your boobs go down again or keep them bigger. Iv always been bigger i was an E before pregnancy and always suffered with a bad back but they are totally taking over now i have just outgrown a FF bra!

Stom91 · 26/10/2013 23:46

I have extra bendy joints and connective tissues and my ligaments and muscles have to work harder to keep all my joints and connective tissues together. So all the stuff that attaches my body together basically lol.
Makes me really tired all the time and thats before pregnancy.

Yup going home to bed tho am starving so guna have a bite to eat first xx
Hope you and bubs are ok now Alyssa

Chelsea Yeah I've got all the creams but forget to put it on. I've been washing with Palmolive milk and honey and just lathered it all over my bump in the shower and that kept them at bay for a while

meandbumpy · 27/10/2013 00:39

Hi guys, another busy day!

I feel a bit stupid over worrying about movement now as bump has been really active today, I guess I'm being a worry wart because it's my first and a steep learning curve. Sorry to cause a fuss.

So sorry to hear about your Grandad Liz. A similar thing happened with my great uncle, he didn't want to go through a lot of unpleasant treatment so was just made to be comfortable in the hospice. He was given 2 years at first but actually had more like 2 months in the end. Although it was a shock and hard for us I think his rapid decline was better for him in that it didn't prolong his suffering. Keep strong Thanks

Happy birthday whisper hope you enjoy your day. You're not alone, we're here to celebrate with you, I shall light a candle in a slice of cake in your honour! Grin

Glad you enjoyed being pampered Mrs, sounds lovely

Sorry to hear about your scares Alyssa and stom, glad you've been given the all clear and hope you're both managing to get some rest.

Alyssa1978 · 27/10/2013 07:39

Never worry about being stupid over movement meand it's always better to be safe with anything like that and I think we are all the same Hun.

Is it your birthday whisper happy birthday if so Grin

Ooh stom that hyper mobile thing sounds no fun at all. Hope you and bump are ok.

Well I'm off to work soon as no one to cover my shift Sad had a few cramps this morning but they've gone.
Day off tomorrow though and then into last week at work before mat leave starts woooooo hooooo Grin

WhisperMen · 27/10/2013 08:22

it is indeed my birthday today. Thanks alyssa and meandbumpy Grin

glad everyone is okay after hospital visits and the like. enjoy your Sunday everyone.

BohemianRaspberry · 27/10/2013 08:37

Happy Birthday whisper

mean it's my first too and every quiet moment has me paranoid. He was quiet this morning and I ended up putting phone on the bump with music and making DH talk to him until he woke up. Poor lad.

Maybe it's the extra hour of sleep but all of a sudden DH is making breakfast for us and it's pancakes. Been told stay in bed. That I can do...

Alyssa1978 · 27/10/2013 08:47

Ooh you lucky thing bohemian enjoy. I get dp to do that too lol, I'm always saying to him wake him up he's not moving lol I bet he won't sleep when he comes out to pay me back Hmm

chelsea I was always told that if you're gonna get stretch marks nothing will stop them but its not gonna stop me from trying lol. At least if. Have to ge them that they are low down and at the moment can't see them unless I look in the mirror.

happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear whisper, happy birthday to you
Cake and Flowers for you.....enjoy your day. X

MrsShrubs · 27/10/2013 08:49

Happy birthday whisper Cake

My stretch marks are awful, mine came in around week 24 and look so angry. I've been using bump butter by cussons morning & night but not sure if its helped at all or not. Knew I'd get them anyway because my skins prone to them from adolescence.

Thanks we had such a good day, my mum had never been to one let alone thrown one so I did all the games for it, was such a giggle. If anyone does have one or is going to one and wants some quizzes let me know and I'll email you them across.

MildredH · 27/10/2013 10:26

Happy birthday Whisper! We have a bit of sunshine where we are so I hope you do too! Have a lovely day..

We're off to order the pushchair today- at LAST! Following about 17 trips to look at them I'm going for the M&P Sola. On offer this week with £80 off so DH, mum & I are heading to order as she's offered to buy it.

Got a load of bits at Mothercare yesterday as they had 20% off a lot of things. A tip for anyone with anything big left to buy- if you go on their website you get a further 15% off and seems to work on top of the 20%. We saw a nice cot we were deliberating over so think we'll order it that way and the mattress..

Happy Sunday all.. Our lovely friends have invited us for a roast so am planning a relaxed one! Just have to make an apple crumble to take.. Waiting for DH to go out and pick the apples off the trees in the garden so in the meantime am staying in bed Grin.

itsliz · 27/10/2013 12:18

Happy Birthday, whisper! Hope you enjoy your day Smile Thanks Cake

Glad to hear you're all making the most of an extra hour in bed and getting spoilt with breakfast! DP decided that the crumpets sitting in the cupboard just weren't exciting enough this morning, so he treated me to a cooked brekkie at the pub just down the road. It was luuurvely, even if it did involve having to get out of bed!

Bohemian and Alyssa, my little one was exactly the same this morning! Much quieter than usual so I kept asking DP to try and wake him up. Think he was just having a lazy Sunday morning lie-in though Smile

We went to a Halloween party last night which was really nice. Everyone was stood around chatting in the kitchen though, so of course I was in agony after a couple of hours of standing! I ended up sitting outside for a bit and bless them, half the party relocated to the garden so that I didn't have to sit on my own (even though it was cold and dark!)

Came home feeling absolutely knackered and managed the first good night's sleep I've had in ages (might've been down to the comfy new PJs I bought yesterday!) so hopefully that'll make dragging myself out of bed early for my 31 week appointment a little bit easier tomorrow!

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely Sunday! Smile

violetbean · 27/10/2013 12:31

Happy Birthday whisper! Have a lovely day. Cake Thanks

Those of you who've been in hospital, hope you're ok and glad to hear the doctors were reassuring.

Have a good Sunday all!

abcdemma · 27/10/2013 12:31

Happy Birthday (again) Whisper Smile
Hope everyone who had hospital visits/appointments is now ok and resting up Flowers
Busy week for me as on Thursday DP asked me to marry him (squeal) and today is the first day of my Mat Leave Grin Boss screwed up my MA documents which prob means I won't get any money through till around the time bambino's due. Thankfully we've got all the baby bits though so it's just Xmas to think about big spending.

Just gonna drag myself out of bed and tidy up a bit before we leave for a few days holiday tomorrow, last escape before all hell breaks loose!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone Brew

Stom91 · 27/10/2013 12:44

Congratulations abc :)
Happy birthday whisper

So jealous I those who have had breakfast cooked/bought for them!! Dp make his own bacon and eggs and then buggared of. To

Stom91 · 27/10/2013 12:47

Urgh stupid phone.
To play golf!! I wouldn't mind but he said he had no money to get me anything for my birthday last week but he has £20 to go play golf! He's put it on the credit card but that's not the point. His excuse was that he doesn't see his cousin much (he's in the army and is away a lot) which is fair enough but still annoyed me a little.

Especially as we only have £10 for food shopping next week. I'm starting and we have nothing to eat he won't go shopping today he wants to wait til after work tomorrow grr wish I could drive !!

And now I'm craving roast dinner!! Send me some my way!!

Have a lazy Sunday all :)

WhisperMen · 27/10/2013 12:58
