liquid please don't worry about not getting your scan on time. There is a small window to do the 12 week scan and the hospital plans for this. I'm sure you'll be given your scan date at your booking or shortly after. The main thing you need to do is book in and you are doing this, once your booked in the hospital arranges everything else. Please don't worry.

littleangel I had an internal scan at 6 weeks. They tried external first and couldn't see much. I'm meant to be having another scan end of the week, I'm not sure if I want an internal, the only reason I agreed last time was because I was sure I had mc and so was surprised to see I hadn't! This time I'm not sure as I've had no further bleeding at all so am a little more optimistic (though trying not to get my hopes up) I am on pelvic rest so I think that having an internal scan contradicts that Hmm not sure what I'll do Confused

Pearlsaplenty · 18/11/2013 20:40

duvet I'm so sorry to hear this :( Flowers

Pearlsaplenty · 18/11/2013 20:47

About the appointments etc I wouldn't worry. I remember in my last pregnancy being so confused and worried about it as there was so little information about what to expect from the hospital. But it went so smoothly. At your booking be very clear about your extra health issues and I'm sure you'll be looked after.

If it is a straightforward pregnancy you'll find the number of appointments increases with trimesters. I heard nothing for weeks in the first and half of the second trimester and for the last couple of weeks of pregnancy the midwife came to my home!! I think it is because they can't really do much if it goes wrong early on sadly :( but if it goes wrong later on there are huge implications so they are a lot more involved!

TheBookofRuth · 18/11/2013 22:04

Aww, why didn't I make the due date list?! Shock

duvetfan · 18/11/2013 22:39

Thank you for all your kind messages. Enjoy your pregnancies and best wishes. x

tannyLoo72 · 18/11/2013 23:42

duvet I MC'd a month ago and am now due late July. Hope you get back on a bus soon x

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 19/11/2013 00:00

Ruth

when are you due? I can add you to the list tomorrow.

baggyoldcow · 19/11/2013 05:36

Hi, can I be added as well, please? I'm due 24 July.

baggyoldcow · 19/11/2013 05:49

Thought I'd add symptoms as funkymonk is asking and we are at the same stage.
This is bub no. 4 for me, and the most obvious symptom seems to be the enormous amount of flab accumulating within seconds of eating anything, all around my middle. I can't believe it, but my clothes are too tight already. And I'm really not eating too much. I'm also a bit constipated which probably explains some of the bulge, and am suffering from both insomnia and extreme fatigue. Boobs slightly sore if pushed. Nothing much else.
You?

englishteacher78 · 19/11/2013 06:28

Feeling a little less annoyed today - just hope that the receptionist booked a long enough appointment for me with the doctor. Think I might call today to check.
Now just wish there weren't quite so many negative stories about my local hospital on the telly. There really isn't any other option for me. So much for patient choice!

tannyLoo72 · 19/11/2013 07:32

At the moment I'm relishing every symptom as they are all much stronger than I've had for any of my MC pregnancies.

I have some quite strong cramps and back ache, mostly at night. I have some hefty nausea, no toilet hugging yet, but not far off. Bloating and windy, ridiculous sense of smell, sleeplessness, extreme tiredness, big tingly boobs...

All in all, they make me happy that I'm doing ok.

I have MC'd in the past at 6 weeks, so I'm definitely not able to relax yet, but today I'm pregnant.

Sparky321 · 19/11/2013 07:33

Good morning pregnant ladies hope you all have a lovely day :)

englishteacher78 · 19/11/2013 07:37

Tanny - excellent positive way of looking at it. One day at a time. As for symptoms I have had a lot of really bad nausea which hasn't turned into actual sickness yet but I've been very, very close. I don't think I'm far off having to run out of class to be sick!

Hollyjokes · 19/11/2013 07:53

Baggy I'm exactly the same re bloating. After I've eaten I reckon I could pass for 5 months pg already Confused Ok, so I'm still carrying a bit of baby weight from DD but I'm sure I didn't still look pg! Does anyone know if the bloating eases over the next few weeks? I can't remember from last time! Or will I just get bigger and bigger now?

funkymonk · 19/11/2013 07:54

Tanny that is a good way of looking at it! I have also mc in the past and am fearful of it happening again.

Thanks baggy. I'm having occasional cramps and have also been bit constipated. Seem to get full quickly on eating. Am very tired but not sure if that's cuz I've been on annual leave so have been having much later nights. First day back in work today so better drag my ass out of bed!

MrsA2 · 19/11/2013 07:56

Morning all,

I'm a bit concerned this morning, things seem different - my breasts are still a bit sore but much less than normal and it's the first night in weeks I didn't need to go to the loo. Things just feel a bit different too, mild cramps but in different places to before.

I guess I'll just have to see how it goes and hope I'm worrying about nothing. I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow and have a private scan next Friday - but that still seems a long way away.

Hope you all have a good day and are doing ok.

Charotte31 · 19/11/2013 08:03

Morning mrs. It's funny I was going to put the same thing t

Charotte31 · 19/11/2013 08:06

Bloody fat fingers! Anything as I was saying-I was going to put the same thing today, boobs are less sore and I haven't felt sick since the end of last week. I worried because iv had 3 mc in the past. I have a scan next Monday it's going to be a long wait! I'm 5.6 today. How many weeks are you mrs?

MrsA2 · 19/11/2013 08:12

Charotte sorry you are feeling the same. I'm nearly 8 weeks.

It's horrible being so out of control isn't it.

Charotte31 · 19/11/2013 09:02

Yes it really is! Is this your first baby? This will be my 2nd but 5th pregnancy. I really hate these first few weeks. Iv had a lot of pain since I found out and had a scan already which showed a sac but no heart beat. They said it was to early. They were checking it was ectopic, which thankful it wasn't. Fingers crossed for the scan Monday!
Let me know how your getting on xx

englishteacher78 · 19/11/2013 09:23

I really don't think it's going to be much longer before the nausea becomes actual sickness. I'm so exhausted at the moment and there's a parents' evening two weeks tomorrow. It's a 6 o'clock start and runs until 9pm. I'm usually in bed by 8:30 at the latest at teh moment as I am so very exhausted not sure how I can make it through. Really worried about it now.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 19/11/2013 09:26

Just to let you know - I have namechanged for the 50th anniversary (I am a geek and will probably keep it now). But this is English teacher.

elliejjtiny · 19/11/2013 09:40

So sorry duvet

Charotte I've had 3 miscarriages too and I know what you mean about the first few weeks.

This week I've started puking, after having nausea for a week or so. My youngest DS is going to be in hospital in 2 weeks. I was already dreading the operation but now I'm also dreading coping with morning sickness away from home. Any tips?

jaykay987 · 19/11/2013 09:49

holly - I've definitely lost bloating. At 4weeks I panicked and bought some bump bands so I could to work without having to do ny tight trousers up.
This week though (Im now 7+4) I'm back in my normal trousers no problem.

PigsInParis · 19/11/2013 10:00

My thoughts are with you duvet x

ellie I didn't see you on this bus! You helped me massively when I was under a different name. I think the last time we 'spoke' was after your last baby! Good luck for this time.

Is anyone else getting hot/cold flushes and dizzy spells? I had this in previous pregnancies but am getting headaches this time too. MW appt is on the 2nd Dec - I had to self refer and then wait for an appt through the post. Think I will be 9 /10 weeks at appt.
