Roofio how long after switching to formula did your milk dry up? I stopped bf when J was 10 days old, now 3.5 weeks and I am still leaking. Yesterday J was snuggling in trying to feed from me so last night I hand expressed and got 30ml which J has just scoffed. Thought my milk would be long gone by now, know I prob should have expressed as will encourage supply but was done out of curiosity.

Hope the pain eases a little clapham I can imagen how gutting it must be being so much more pregnsnt than u was with ds. I was only 5 days more pregnsnt this time than last but 3 of those were all part of the induction so had something to focus on. I how u get to meet your bundle sooner rather than later xx

Sorry to all those struggling with breast feeding I hope u manage to work things out soon and that feeding becomes more comfortable for u with lots of weight gain for the babies x

Its my first day on my own today as dh work couldn't get cover for him, so far so good, I've showered washed up steralised bottles done one load of washing both kids r dressed and fed, and I reckon 80% of housework jobs are done... And we are all still alive lol

My MIL met an all time high on her evilness the other day

She sent a congratulations card (a week after the birth) via dh's nan and inside instead of signing it 'mum' she signed it with her Christian name and then in brackets (mum)

I mean really love? Really? If u don't wanna congratulate us properly then don't bother at all instead of trying too make some sarcastic point about that fact that she's a crap mum!! Its dd's 3rd birthday on Friday what's she gunna do then sign her Christian name and put nan in brackets

Sorry I've been so awful at keeping up with the thread - I have tonsillitis so am feeling pretty shit. Plus worrying about megastorm which is meant to be bad on the south coast. We live on a hill too so house is very exposed to the elements!

Thea is doing brilliantly, and starting to be more sleepy at night and alert in the day. She is also grinning like a loon, it's the most wonderful thing

The Fourth Trimester - the bit no one warns you about!

Hi everyone. Finally got back to the thread though I gave been checking into the fb page.
I had an email from Mumsnet HQ saying a fellow user had nominated me to receive a Christmas gift. Chances are it was one of you so just want to say thank you.

Eliana is doing really well. She left hospital last week on 70 ml feeds and is now on 120 ml. I've been expressing and topping the bottles up with formula as my milk
supply isn't great and when I gave her feeds direct from the breast in hospital she lost weight. The middle of the night expressing is pretty depressing though. I have a docs appointment tomorrow to see if I can be prescribed Donperidone to get my supply up a bit.

With regards to lochia, I only bled for 2 days after the birth but then 3 weeks in I had a couple of occasions where I flooded. The blood was dark almost brown so not fresh blood. Does this sound normal to any of you?

roofio think that's where I am too. J really struggling with bottom wind at the moment and although I know he's not constipated part of me thinking it's the formula. I know I don't have the hours in the day to try re-establish what was a good supply but when I sitting in the house wearing a vest top and he's rooting around looking for my milk it breaks my heart a little bit. Especially as I start leaking the minute I hold him.

Need to remember the reasons we opted for a bottle though and remember that J needs fed and I couldn't give him all he needed

I'm trying to add myself to the spread sheet but having very little success

If anyone could do it that would be much appreciated
