Cluster feeding here too Sad I'm reading my kindle......best purchase for passing the small night hours when feeding! The clocks have gone back so tonight is going to be even longer than normal...........

thethreeblondies · 27/10/2013 01:44

Eeeeeeek think I'm finally SWIL!! I have been contracting since bedtime and have given up trying to sleep through them so watching crap on tv!

cazboldy · 27/10/2013 02:09

Ooh good luck 3blondiesz x x
L also cluster feeding. . . I came to bed at 9 and haven't slept yet.

Readyasilleverbe · 27/10/2013 02:16

Exciting, good luck 3blondies. Go baby!
I got woken up by one about 15 mins ago but nothing since so think it was a fraud!
I had no idea about this cluster feeding, thank god for the thread, at least forewarned is forearmed if this baby ever decides to join us on the outside.Sorry some of you are having a tough night with it, hugs to you all. Hope you all get some rest eventually.x

thethreeblondies · 27/10/2013 02:23

Going to try having a bath see if they ease or not, then will see about ringing ward and mw (need to ring her direct as she's a student case loading me and want to be sure b4 I wake her!) oh and mil will need waking to come sleep with DD's. It's bit funny with clocks going back, I've lost an hour!!

rubytwosday · 27/10/2013 02:50

Good luck Blondies and Sanj - hoping you both have babies today! To all those suffering with the cluster feeding - I was you 2 days ago and I very nearly lost the plot BUT there is a ray of hope... I have just had 4 1/2 hours sleep!! Thanks to DH, a bottle of expressed milk and A acting like a "normal" ( ie like the books say) baby who goes 3 hrs between feeds. I am sure it is a fluke and we'll be back to the evening screaming and feeding constantly tonight but it had been lovely. So, poor very tired milk machine cluster feeding ladies, I hope your babies are just expanding their stomachs in preparation for giving you a lovely long sleep ( can't believe I now think 4 hrs is a long sleep!) tonight.

moonblues · 27/10/2013 03:27

Good luck Blondies!

roxvox · 27/10/2013 04:01

caz I was up until gone 2 with A as well, having started the feeding frenzy at about 9 (our babies must be on the same schedule!) ... Unfortunately it only led to a < 3 hour sleep though ruby as I am up feeding again now! Although I do know what you mean as A will often sleep for 4-5 hours in a chunk in the night, just not tonight clearly!

Good luck blondies! Have the contractions eased since your bath?

thethreeblondies · 27/10/2013 04:23

Contractions 3 mins apart I'm in delivery room waiting for my mw!!!!!!!

cazboldy · 27/10/2013 04:26

How funny roxvox, they really must be on similar schedules, we are feeding again now too.
3blondies not sure how fast your labours usually are, but be careful as baths tend to really speed mine up! X x

cazboldy · 27/10/2013 04:30

Ha i was obviously too late with my last post 3blondies
are you our first LIT?
not long til baby is in your arms now! X x

roxvox · 27/10/2013 04:36

Woohoo threeblondies! Good luck! How exciting Grin

High five caz and baby Caz too. Although I would prefer to not be on this feeding schedule, it's nice to have some company Smile ... Oo, A has just dropped off. Hopefully she's done and I can get some more sleep!

thethreeblondies · 27/10/2013 05:13

8cms!

Bronzemoth · 27/10/2013 05:53

Come on 3blondes nearly there.

sanji hope you are progressing well.

Thank jellyc will give the kneeling idea a go to put on the mobywrap.

Sephy · 27/10/2013 06:00

Good luck three!

My DD did her cluster feeding 4 - 9 ish today - really great to have 3 hour gaps at night! My midwife advised me to keep waking her for feeds as she's still so little - any ideas when it's alright to move to feed on demand at night? Hate it when alarms wake us both.

claphammama · 27/10/2013 06:29

good luck blondies - very jealous and very happy for you!! you give me hope it will finally happen!

sanji hope all is going well. finally...

nothing here apart from insomnia and my loins pain on the left side is so bad now that I couldn't even walk today... I spent the whole day on the sofa and it was even agony as I was limping to go to the bathroom. Perhaps need to call antenatal unit tomorrow? is it normal? please advise ladies who had SPD... it only started last night.

can everyone hear this wind outside?
sorry I'm a miserable bitch these days but honestly losing my will to live and my sense of humour

Chickie yes, DS's dad is looking after him this weekend so I'm just vegging

rubytwosday · 27/10/2013 06:51

Well... Feeling pretty stupid now after my sleep boasting earlier. Since 2am have managed 3 x 30 minute sleep stints, A seems to have wind, won't feed properly and therefore won't settle.
Blond hope you are doing well and that baby blond is sneezed out quickly and pain free.
Clapham, pain sounds horrible and very frustrating. No advice I'm afraid but hope you feel better today. I think maybe the storm will have a kind of full moon effect and lots of babies will be born today and tomorrow.

Pinkush · 27/10/2013 07:13

Clapham. Loin pain isn't typical of spd. Do you feel feverish? Can be a sign of a urine infection so def worth calling the antenatal unit so they can rule it out.

pinkbuttons · 27/10/2013 07:37

eek good luck 3blondies!

Glad you finally got a room sanji hope things are going well for you.

Congratulations to all new babies, havent been on for a few days so not sure what Ive missed.

legally again your toilet trip sounds like super woman although it gives me hope of managing two when DH is back at work.

sephy is DD gaining weight, I was worried at Islas 5 day check because she was sleeping 5-6 hrly. Midwife said it was fine as she was gaining weight and would only wake up to feed if she wasnt. she did say not to let her go longer than 6 hours yet but still more sleep than 3.

hugs to everyone struggling.
Having the same problem s here wih constant feeding and actually concerned I might be overfeeding?? Isla put on 1lb at 14 days so is now looking lovely and chubby but she just seems
to feed all day! its exhausting.
she also has oral thrush and ive got it on my now extremely sore left boob so dreading every other feed.

Also meant to say clapham sorry to hear your. in pain would definitely give midwife a ring. and your allowed to be completely fed up, I have no wise words as dont think anything would have helped me at a week overdue but that baby will be here soon, just look after yourself and enjoy your lazy weekend xx

OrangeBlossom2 · 27/10/2013 07:41

Woohoo blondies, I think that counts as a LIT update. And yay for sanji.

DH bought me a kindle as a thank you for having our baby present so I am looking forward to reading more when do can do it one handed.

Clapham, might be everything loosening up but you have done this before so perhaps ask for some advise from your midwife if it isn't normal for you? Everywhere ached with pgp... Lower back, hips, inner thighs, outer thighs, pubic bone, coccyx, stabby pain inside vagina...and on the day I went into labour my hip flexors were particularly sore.
Good news is that is has pretty much gone away since having Thomas. Only my coccyx is still sore and that might be new pain from having him on my back and him getting stuck/that whole general area being a bit traumatised. Also lower back but I think that is now from awkward breastfeeding/carrying/changing positions.

I agree whoever said the hospital weigh in feels like an appraisal. Last time I was thinking well the umbilical cord must have been a few extra grams last time and wanted to feed him just before a weigh in to add extra. Silly as I should be concerned about whether he is actually well and gaining weight, not whether the midwife is happy with the number.

I looked at my episiotomy stitches/scar last night and although the stitches seem to have dissolved nicely I am a bit mangled. Sad I got quite upset about it. Anyone else got a mirror out yet?

Flyer747 · 27/10/2013 07:56

Woohoo Threeblondies can't wait to hear the official update will it he team blue or pink?

Hope things starting to progress now sanji

Clapham hugs I can imagine you are losing the will to live, I'd be peed off too now. Maybe call the triage and ask them is it normal?

So I think I may have mastitis in my left breast, it's very sore has a hard spot that's red and I keep waking up drenched in sweat, no chills or aches though.

RedlipsAndSlippers · 27/10/2013 08:16

Morning Octobers :) Just a quick update.
Baby Charlie arrived at 9.15pm on Friday night, weighing in at 9lb 3oz, and all he does is feed!
Very intense but fast labour, just a fraction over an hour from start to finish. Midwife had just finished getting the water run for the pool when he appeared.
Good luck to you whose babies are on the way!

OrangeBlossom2 · 27/10/2013 08:16

Flyer do your GPs have an out of hours number for weekend appointments? If not definitely ask about it when you go for your appointment tomorrow. I am super sweaty too at the moment but combined with the sore red part that does sound like you need it checked out even without chills etc.

OrangeBlossom2 · 27/10/2013 08:17

Wow congratulations red lips! Thanks

ImpOfDarkness · 27/10/2013 08:46

41weeks today and 2 cms dilated as of yesterday. Get a move on baby!
