clapham my breathing has also been criticised and imitated by dp this week :( it must be a style adopted by the cool mummy's to be still cooking!

Flyer747 · 21/10/2013 16:37

I've never been a snorer and dp tells me every night I snore. No longer pregnant and still snoring.

Clapham Hmm that she wouldn't give you a sweep. It's really shit when everyone else I announcing births and you are still sat there waiting.

Feminist congratulations ThanksThanks lovely name. Was your dad waiting in the car park when you were in labour?

AnythingNotEverything · 21/10/2013 16:37

Mmmmm. Those scones look delicious. And in fact welcome relief from the sore nipple talk - although I have all this to come!

The doctor attempted a sweep this morning (@40+5). I say attempted, because this little bean is so far from being engaged in the vast amount of amniotic fluid I have he was basically chasing him/her round my uterus via my vagina. A lovely experience, as you can imagine!

So following my failed sweep ... I'm going in tomorrow for an induction. Eek! Kind of disappointed as I laboured naturally with DS (but without polyhydramnios), but excited we should meet the baby in the next couple of days. Really hoping it's just a kick start and then my body will clock on to what it's supposed to do!

I've bought a magazine, some snacks (healthy and not so healthy), and will pack my charger. Do I need anything else for the inevitable induction wait?

Who was being induced today (as per Facebook post)? Have we heard how they're getting on?

As always, good luck with your newborns or your final days of pregnancy!

Pinkforboys · 21/10/2013 16:39

Ooh- ready those look yummy. I might try those too....

clapham big dilating-inducing hugs xx and to those others still f-in' waiting.

DH has almost succumbed to my mind tricks and Madam has almost got a name. Hopefully we'll agree this evening!

Really miffed that my hip pain has returned today. I guess I should try to see a physio about it. How have others with the awful PGP pre-pg turned out- has it gone?

thethreeblondies · 21/10/2013 16:46

Right I'm thinking maybe the baby won't come because we still can't decide on names, so ladies opinions please,

Francesca, Annabel, or Beatrice

Edward, Harrison or George

claphammama · 21/10/2013 16:47

bowlfull I used to get DS out of his cot and feed him once in the middle of the night as he was asleep. I never pumped in the night (apart from that period when I had to in order to get my milk back). He was feeding really well in his sleep, as soon as he smelled my boob. I didn't have to wake him up, 15-20min and job done. Sounds like your Emilia is a good feeder too - perhaps worth a try? I know at some point night feeds are no longer critical but they are very important in the first months. I can't remember when I stopped them... but after 4-5 months I remember feeding DS around 11pm and then again only at 7am and it was fine by then, once my milk supply was well established.

slippy aren't you going to Guy & St. Thomas as well by the way? Or is my memory playing tricks on me? We may well end up there on the same day at this stage!

.... sorry!!

claphammama · 21/10/2013 16:51

good luck for tomorrow anything!

blondies, in my humble opinion - Francesca for a girl (it was our chosen name for a girl!) and Edward for a boy. How was your sister's Deal or No Deal audition by the way? Has it already happened?

Slippysnow · 21/10/2013 16:56

clapham good memory! Yep I am, we will be the two panting and huffing in the corners! I'll race you there. ;)

Iheartcrunchiebars · 21/10/2013 16:56

Threeblondes I love Francesca and desperately wanted our dd to be Beatrix because I think trixy is a really cute shorten version as is bea.

claphammama · 21/10/2013 16:59

great - see you there slippy! When are you due again? I will be the one breathing heavily in the corner so easy to find...

claphammama · 21/10/2013 17:00

I just ignored a phone call from DP's mum... couldn't face talking again and saying that no, nothing is happening yet... every single day...

Pinkforboys · 21/10/2013 17:01

anything I added my thoughts to the hospital bag on FB- my little iPod speakers were a godsend as I could listen to music/radio in my little room off the ward without disturbing anyone. One mw was quite obsessed by them and wanted to get herself some...
In an attempt to reassure you, apart from the interruptions for monitoring (which was mainly because baby was sleeping) I found it pretty 'natural'. I wasn't allowed in a pool, but there was a ball to hand and no restrictions on positions etc in the room. It took my body about 10hrs to respond to the drug, so lots of time to finish off baby blanket and read! I wish I'd slept more then- I was so tired after a night of contractions I dozed between the serious ones rather than use all those 'active yoga' actions I'd spent loads of dosh time learning!

Good luck!! xx

Pinkforboys · 21/10/2013 17:06

clapham ignoring phonecalls/texts/emails is the prerogative of the almost/over-due lady!

3Bs I'm no use to you- love all your names!

Slippysnow · 21/10/2013 17:07

I'm due 25th. So 39+3 today. When are you due clapham?

Have you seen st Thomas's has a garden room with a view?

claphammama · 21/10/2013 17:20

I'm due tomorrow and no, didn't know about the garden room with a view. I called and asked them if I could come for a tour but they don't do tours these days...

Slippysnow · 21/10/2013 17:23

Yeah, same for us. However, there are a few pics online and a virtual tour (video) on their website. You never know you may be one of the 5% if not I'll be about to keep you company on the bus :D

thethreeblondies · 21/10/2013 17:37

Well remembered Clapham sis did really well, passed all the day auditions and just has to wait to see if she's called to be on the telly Smile

claphammama · 21/10/2013 17:43

how exciting blondies! definitely have to tell my MIL - she will be very excited. But right now I'm a bit Angry with her for calling every day so avoiding her...

Sanjifair · 21/10/2013 17:44

Anything I'm being induced tomorrow too, will be 40+9. Have to phone the hospital at 2 pm to see if it is going ahead. If it's too busy then it won't be. Fx It will! Good luck with yours tomorrow.

dontworryjustpanic · 21/10/2013 17:47

Hi ladies. Congrats on the new arrivals. Have been reading in fits & starts but the details aren't staying in my head. Thinking of all of you with feeding issues - I remember how tough I found bf with DS - hoping I'll find it easier 2nd time round.

SC at 39+5 - been feeling pretty rough last couple days with nausea & period type pains. I'm hoping thus means baby will be along soon. Also been pretty anxious about how a new baby will affect my relationship with DS. DH is certainly the favourite parent & this has been compounded by my low energy levels since getting pregnant. How on earth will I find time for DS with a new baby? So worried DS will reject me completely Sad

ImpOfDarkness · 21/10/2013 18:17

Threeblondies, I love all your girl's names. Of the boys, I'd go for Edward.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 21/10/2013 18:30

blondies I think we were due date buddies.....I like Francesca and Edward best but all lovely.
I weighed myself today.......bad idea.......totally depressing..
Have had a nearly 9lb baby lost blood, placenta etc but only lost 6lb in weight hie can this be fair?!

Flyer747 · 21/10/2013 18:35

Threeblondies I also love the names for the boys Edward is my favourite.

Clapham I don't blame you ignoring mil that would be doing my head in a daily phone call.

I feel like a prize heifer constantly in the milking parlour ! Grin

Flyer747 · 21/10/2013 18:38

I'm being released from the mental institution yey !

Dp went to collect our dog from his parents as we've been told she must be in the house when baby comes in, I've missed her so much.
He is coming at 7 pm.

Shooting I daren't weigh myself.... I feel my weight loss may be comparable. I still look 6 months pregnant Shock

PseudoBadger · 21/10/2013 18:38

Hi everyone, no time to post really but I am reading the thread and FB and keeping up with you all. Congratulations to all new arrivals!
Can I ask anyone who had a dc born around the 7th October - what is your lochia like now? Mine got lighter until it stopped on Saturday (12 days) but I now have blood as heavy as my heaviest period. I'm seeing the MW tomorrow but just thought I'd ask....
