pram you are going to LOVE bath...............................

lumpylumps · 16/10/2013 20:25

BWP hope this works!! www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk/
jolls have a look. I suspect part of your weepiness is down to that. I've been in tears every night and burst into tears at the physio today. I don't think I have ante natal depression, it's just part of trying to deal with the pain.

mummy how's your dp??

No more bleeding here thank God.

Fudge?? Ugh, I'm with pram brownies on the other hand, send them my way!!

Been on a bit of a spree these last couple of weeks. Bought this
this
and this!!

Must stop spending!!

dizhin79 · 16/10/2013 20:30

Well with some sad news and lots of tiredness for people today, my love and thoughts are with u, I can give u this image in ur mind to hopefully make u Smile I drove home from a conference today, got stuck in traffic, the journey took4 hours, when wigglet started wiggling, crisps i'd just eaten made me bloat, the tights I was wearing really starting digging in.....

So what does one do whilst at a standstill on the motorway?

wiggle those Bastard tights down to ur thighs and drive the rest of the way home praying you don't get pulled over! Wink

MummyPig24 · 16/10/2013 20:30

lumpy I love that dress! Dh is ok thanks, feeling a lot better after talking to the police this morning who asked a few questions and said it probably wouldn't be taken any further. Phew! And we haven't heard that they cyclist isn't ok so we will assume he is.

Anyone who doesn't want their fudge, I'll have it. You can keep the brownies though.

Imeg · 16/10/2013 20:35

Not too sure how husband is doing as he's not really one for talking a lot anyway, and is currently a) very busy at work and b) has manflu. He does seem willing to consider counselling though, which it seems I can access free via work (including couple counselling so we can both go). I think that will help us sort out how we feel about it so that we can then focus on supporting the child.

lumpylumps · 16/10/2013 20:36

mummy perfect swap!! Glad the police were ok.

I love the dress too. I figured it could be dressed up or down.

Imeg · 16/10/2013 20:38

PS We don't have Sky so I haven't watched Game of Thrones but I have listened to the first audiobook, and Drogo was quite appealing even in that! (Or perhaps even more in that - don't they say women like to use their imagination?!)

Jolleigh · 16/10/2013 20:47

Lyra & Pram - how behind on Game of Thrones are you two?! Catch up ladies or when it restarts I won't be able to gossip to you!

I've only quieted my Walking Dead excitement because in my experience women think I'm weird for loving the zombie genre.

One more thing Pram - it may look like I'm saying this to be awkward but I genuinly have a vendetta against socks. Fucking hate them. I do begrudgingly wear them just about though. So I can honestly say I'd prefer home made brownies (which is my favourite baked item Wink ). I've even been goading a bloke in work who assures me his recipe is better than mine. I don't actually have a signature brownie recipe but if he finally makes a batch, my year's mission will be complete Grin

Lumpy - I hope to look at the link in the morning. My eyes hurt (broke down a bit while relaying news to DP). Thank you Thanks

BadlyWrittenPoem · 16/10/2013 20:48

Thanks for the link lumpy.

LyraSilvertongue · 16/10/2013 20:55

Joll, I'm about halfway through series two. Might try to catch up tomorrow.

Imeg · 16/10/2013 21:01

Oooh, thanks for the picture Lyra. I don't know how the TV series relate to the books but no spoilers please as I will probably get the second audiobook...

LyraSilvertongue · 16/10/2013 21:07

I don't want spoilers either. Or for Breaking Bad.

SuperMuddle · 16/10/2013 21:20

Evenin'!

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been making loads of jam, chutney, fudge and brownies to send to pramalamadingdong. You know you love it really... Wink

imeg and jolleigh, I'm sorry you've had bad news. Nothing more I can think of to say, except that you're in my thoughts.

Prambo3TheReturn · 16/10/2013 22:08

Jolls, I'm about to start series 2 tonight. End of last series showed Khaleesi rising naked from a funeral pyre with baby dragons squawking on her shoulders (like you do).

Lyra, fanks for the picture. I love his Jack Nicholson eyebrows.

Moosey, I've been to Baff, it was lovely but I was excruciatingly pissed for the 72 hours I was there (hen do) so I remember nowt about it.

Th'usband has just reliably informed me that almost all of the houses belonging to his elderly clients stink of fudge. They're all at it!!

Prambo3TheReturn · 16/10/2013 22:44

Jolls, Jamie Oliver's brownies are seriously the best I have ever tasted. I almost left the sour cherries out of the recipe but I was so glad I didn't. Beautiful.

Prambo3TheReturn · 16/10/2013 22:46

Muddle, you sound almost as busy as me. I'm up to my eyeballs in papier maché dildos which I plan to give to some of th'usband's elderly clients.

OwlinaTree · 16/10/2013 22:48

Last week I had a letter from the midwives asking me tomake appointment to have a blood test. I rang my docs and made this today. I've just got home and there is a card from the midwife saying she tried to call today wanting to know if I've been for the blood test yet, can I ring her.

Do you think I should be worried about this? Ive made the appointment for next Friday. DH says not to worry, but it seems like a high level of service if it's just routine. Hummm

jolls sorry you are feeling rotten. I hope you feel a bit better soon. I second the setting small targets, getting out of the house approach that someone suggested (sorry can't remember who). Looking after your physical health will help with your mental health so get dressed, leave the house once a day and eat properly. And rest!!!

imeg thinking of you and your DH .

JustCallMeBaldrick · 16/10/2013 23:01

Thanks Imeg and Jolleigh

apprenticemamma · 16/10/2013 23:48

My tired lil head is spinning just trying to process your last week of banter.

Reading about your 20 week scans and that there are a lot of pink Martians right? I'm convinced this is a boy to balance things out!

lmeg I am stumped for words but want to let u know I am thinking of you and your husband. Couples counselling is an excellent idea to enable you to sort through your feelings. My oh and I are undergoing couples counselling for different reasons but it is helping us insulate our relationship for the life change a second baby will bring. Good luck.

jolls and fox , I'm with you on the mood imbalance thing. I've been v tearful and at times not feeling connected or emotional about baby. I posted in AND forum and got some good advice. You sound a bit like me dodgy combination of extreme hormones, some relationship tension, physical issues and a massively stressful job/career. 4 weeks off is excessive... I submitted to three days off but it did me the power of good. Work were supportive. It was a huge help as is counselling.

rock it's helpful to hear ur experience.

I finally spoke to payroll today and it was confirmed to me that I fucked up on cancelling childcare vouchers late. End result $500 down on mat pay (narrowly missed being $1k worse off). I'm trying to be calm and philosophiCal about it but MEH.Angry HM gifts are the way alongside eBay charity shops and photo gifts. Need time check out Christmas bargains thread

Lyra congrats did u get a house restaurant or both? Smile

apprenticemamma · 16/10/2013 23:49

ps does anyone else just LOVE Stephen fry?

commsgirl · 16/10/2013 23:55

I've just got in from my dad's birthday dinner. Will catch up tomorrow but just for now..

I love Drogo more than is appropriate. And I want fudge.

Night :)
