Glad you went in ready. Hmm, so does the baby is only happy when you stood up? That's not much good is it! Hope tonight goes well Wink and so glad they have asked you back tomorrow to check again rather than just leaving you.

Readyasilleverbe · 11/10/2013 20:09

Orange I did wonder the same but they didn't seem bothered and I'm so uncomfy lying down. Esp for that long, not how I usually spend the day! Baby has been pretty busy this pm so I'm reassured enough for now and back at 10.30 so fingers crossed. They wondered if it had rolled onto its cord during the scary moment but scan showed good blood flow through placenta and cord.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 11/10/2013 20:17

Glad you got checked out ready and you're feeling reassured - sounds like a long stressful day though x

Orange - Thanks for the update on Eliana - I can't even imagine what MoN and her family must be feeling.

Natalieand · 11/10/2013 20:28

Thanks for the support everyone just got home, community midwife is coming round tommorow for sweep and usual check up and induction is booked for Monday (which is actually my due date)

I am all caught up with the thread but I've read it in dribs and drabs so I won't even attempt to respond individually as I no I'll get confused lol.

Thanks everyone xx

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 20:32

The end is in sight then Nat!

Natalieand · 11/10/2013 20:40

It seems so orange as long as they aren't too busy. I'm quite pleased as it means I can mentally prepare dd that the next time she sees me I will have a baby not a belly well maybe a belly as well lol and warn her she will be staying with someone else etc obviously I no it can still happen between now and Monday on its own but unlikely me thinks xx

JellyCurls · 11/10/2013 20:52

Ready glad you went in to get checked, hope all well tomorrow and good baby is moving tonight

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 21:15

Glad to hear there will be progress soon Nat and that baby Ready is doing ok.

So, do you remember when you were all talking about this purple line business and I did my best to ignore you? I have just contorted myself to check Blush. Mine seems quite well advanced (sorry), so that must be good I guess Confused.

claphammama · 11/10/2013 21:25

glad you are being looked after ready and good luck for tomorrow!

nat good news for you! so close now Smile

mrsH re: purple line - photo on FB please...? in the name of science? Grin everything in the name of science!
I agree that Conrad Friedrich goes better with your surname. I think we've settles on Conrad Alexander now. Conrad is still the only name we agree on...

pink I wouldn't worry about your name being already taken by someone on this thread. There will always be someone else with your baby's name out there.

roofio87 · 11/10/2013 21:25

exciting that things are moving along for many of you. I know lots are looking at inductions and its not the preferred way, it wasn't what I wanted either. but you'll soon forget it all once lo is here!! got my fingers xd for natural labours in the meantime!!
We're all good here, but tired. I had one wobble earlier when I realised that I can't change my mind about this now haha, but I just have to look at Hunter and am reminded I wouldn't swap this for anything. feel like I'm missing dp a bit even though he's always here. I feel so much more in love with him now but we barely have 5 mins for a cuddle!!
can't believe he's a week old today, the time has flown by!!!

anyway, sorry to those feeling fed up waiting. won't be long now till everyone's babies are here!!!

claphammama · 11/10/2013 21:27

Frederick! my phone has its own ideas on show the name should be spelled Grin

claphammama · 11/10/2013 21:27

on HOW the name should be spelled... grrrr

claphammama · 11/10/2013 21:31

oh forgot to say orange my iron was around 11 throughout my first pregnancy - it's borderline but OK. it will jump once you give birth. Just make sure you maintain it with good diet and it will be OK. I also didn't take any supplements when it was 11. They said it was "optional". If I were you, I would ask them to test again when you go for your 6 weeks check up after the birth

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 21:36

Yeah I might do that Clapham. Dr wasn't at all concerned about it.

I drive past a Conrad drive just off our road every time I go anywhere and think of you both!

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 21:37

Blush I keep forgetting that you all know what I look like from FB (although thankfully for all concerned, from the other end to my purple line...)

Clapham I'm not sure I knew that you had decided on Conrad. I like Conrad Alexander but vowels as a middle name don't work with our surname :). Funnily enough, when I mentioned it to DH this evening, he had been having exactly the same thoughts as me. So now it will be either Conrad Frederick or Rufus George. Eventually...

Pink I agree about the name - it's less of an issue on her than in RL and I think I'd just be flattered and pleased with your excellent taste Wink

OP posts:
claphammama · 11/10/2013 21:45

MrsH yes I think we've decided... nothing else seems to work for us. My preference would be Conrad Oscar but then the poor child's initials would be COW... DP is already worried about his personalised number plate in the future... (I hate personalised number plates... sorry if someone on here has one... DP has one so I'm having to drive a car with his initials on it...). SIGH

I also think initials COW would be much worse for a girl than for a boy... Grin

orange glad Conrad Drive reminds you of us! Smile

chickieno1 · 11/10/2013 21:47

Good you got monitored ready and they'll check you and baby again tomorrow. Hope you get some rest tonight.

jellycurls I have a sleepy jaundiced baby here. Today I've been exposing her to sunlight as much as possible to help jaundice. Any sun in Scotland??? You could try tomorrow. I put her in a room that gets a lot of sun in her vest for 20 mins. I'm also changing nappy halfway through feed (have to s she usu does a poo after first few mins of feeding). It's a long weekend here so will take her to gp on tues. Hope baby J s jaundice improves ASAP.

gt that's pretty impressive feeding schedule for your little one. How is your ds1 doing. Is he too young to notice he doesn't have all of your attention?

Good luck mrs hn and imp hope things progress well.

To all those at the back of the bus Flowers and Wine xxx

mon hugs xxx

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 21:48

Clapham we decided against Charlie Oliver for the COW reason.

thethreeblondies · 11/10/2013 21:50

Our potential top name for a boy has initials ETC!

The pains have died off, must have been from dtd! I had them a lot with DD2 and an easy labour so hopefully they are doing some good, bloody annoying if not disrupting my tea I've put mat under my sheet in case waters go tonight Smile

Hope u all sleep well xx

Natalieand · 11/10/2013 21:53

Lol clapham my dh is also a sucker for a private number plate but they have no interest to me whatsoever.

We don't really seem to be any closer to naming our blue bump even tho I no I'm being induced in two days I thought that thought would scare me into choosing a name but actually it seems to have done the opposite.
I don't like anything dh likes and he doesn't like anything I like so were moving no where fast!

I'm not sure how the iron thing works but I was told my actual iron levels are fine but my iron stores are low its genetic in my family (even without pregnancy) called thalassemia as dd suffers from it too as well as my mum but as I eat a lot of red meat I don't usually have to take iron supplements.

Hope u are ok now pseudo also how is your bp now tarlia?

MoN I hope you and dp are ok and managing to take good care of yourselves as well as your lovely little brood. Sending u lots of positive thoughts for the next couple of weeks with Elianas treatment x

Sorry to anyone I've ignored I will try and keep up properly now but the last few days I've been reading in dribs and drabs and by the time I catch up I forget everything I've read

Right! Who's turn isit too give birth tonight? X

Slippysnow · 11/10/2013 21:53

I had a horrendous projectile vomit which was a mixture between multivitamin, omega 3 fish oil, iron tablet (which made it black), raspberry leaf tea and chewy drumstick lollies. Yuck yuck yuck yuck!

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 22:01

Yes Clapham I can see why you would want to avoid Conrad Oliver Grin. Mind you, our first choice girl's name initials are BLT. I figured lots of people like BLTs (not me) so that would be ok :)

OP posts:
chickieno1 · 11/10/2013 22:20

Post took forever to load so seems a bit random Blush

nat hope you're ok and feeling good about meeting your little boy very soon.

pseudo that's crap that you've had to go back to hospital. Are they tweaking your meds??

tarlia have you seen the cardiologist?

I'm not sure if I said congrats to the newest mums so Flowers for you xx

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 22:22

Oh dear slippy hope you are feeling better.

DP "would you like some tea?"
Me "something small and light I ate lots of rubbish earlier"

I will post the picture on fb what I got. I had to take a photo it made me chuckle so much. Grin

notsoold · 11/10/2013 22:38

Flyer....lol at his attempt but in our household if I say something light , dh will without fail give me dry toast!!!:) xxxx

Nat fx for you xxxx
