Morning guys! Hugs to those that need them today Thanks

I'm in work alone, my manager has called in sick with a stomach ache. It's very hard to be sympathetic when I come in and puke my way through the day Hmm

However, today I haven't been sick yet. Grin I'm around 13 weeks now so I feel like having a day when I don't puke would be a big accomplishment! Fingers crossed.

I've just realised that my due date may be before May. I went over due with my last one so I'm sure I'll go over with this one. I don't want to leave the Maybies! xxx

Hugs randdom anniversaries like that are always so difficult. Thanks and un-Mumsnetty hugs for you.

Morning dobe, think we're at the same stage! My official due date is 28th April, but apparently most first pregnancies go over, so I'm sticking with the Maybies. You guys have got me through this so far!
No morning sickness today, a little less fatigue and I might, just might, be starting to glow Grin

impatientlywaiting · 21/10/2013 09:00

Congrats on having a peach Moomin. Can't believe how fast the babies are growing. We were all appleseeds when we started these threads and think we must have a range from Raspberries to Peaches.

Sorry to those who today is a difficult day for. Thinking of you.

My scan is at 3:20 today, as me and DH had our cheeky extra volunteer one last week where got to see the baby by ourselves we have asked MIL if she wants to come with us today. It's her first grandchild and she's really excited, and having a bit of a rough time at the moment as her mother just passed away. So thought it would be nice to cheer her up.

Oh and in further I'm addicted to scans news, this weekend I booked a private 16 week gender scan for 16th November. So in less than 4 weeks I'll know if it's a boy or girl which seems crazily soon. I can't wait.

Good luck to all the other scanees today.

LongTailedTit · 21/10/2013 09:14

Good luck for all the scans today!

Hamncheese yep, really starting to freak myself out about how I'll cope with two too! DS was high-needs, so fingers are very firmly crossed that #2 is a little easier.

Is everyone getting booked in for flu jabs?
I've got a long to-do list of docs apts to make and things to arrange with the midwife. Apparently I need a whooping cough jab after 28wks as well.

Spirael · 21/10/2013 09:15

I wouldn't bet on that, Moomin... My first was born nearly three weeks early. Wink I'll be gutted if I go beyond 40 weeks this time - I'll have had to do an extra month over last time! And I might actually end up with some stretch marks.

I wasn't around much over the weekend so this is very belated, but sorry to hear you're going through such awful things PFJ. :( I hope it's all resolved for you soon as well as can be expected.

Not much of a restful weekend for me... Did a trip to Ikea to get a ton of stuff for our bedroom and all the parts to sort DD out her new bedroom on the top floor - so we can free up her current room to be the nursery for the new LO! Aside from building all that, also ended up putting up blinds, changing the central heating programmer and taking up some curtains.

So, I've come back to work for a rest! Wink At least MS hasn't been so bad recently. I made the exciting discovery that having a live-bio yoghurt for breakfast seems to work miracles for settling my stomach. Can't promise it'll work for everyone, and it doesn't completely negate the nausea, but it's a notable improvement.

Apparently I received my letter with my scan date on Saturday morning, which DH opened on my behalf, then forgot to tell me about! Should I LTB? Wink Fortunately I noticed it sitting on the side this morning.

It's for the 8th Nov conveniently late in the afternoon, when I'll be 10+6. Earlier than I was expecting, seems like my local hospital is running pretty efficiently at the moment! They were doing massive building works in the maternity wing last time I was pregnant, so it'll be interesting to see what's changed now those are, presumably, all done.

Still got my private scan booked for a week on Thursday so DD can come along and see. Can't wait! Grin

Good luck to all with scans today!

Spirael · 21/10/2013 09:20

I was told to report for a flu jab, LongTailedTit. Probably because I have germ incubating DD in the house. Check whether your surgery is running a clinic, as that might be quicker and easier than making a specific appointment.

There's a clinic happening this weekend at my local surgery, so I'll be having the jab on Saturday morning. I'll then be horribly ill next week, I expect...

moominleigh94 · 21/10/2013 09:27

So I could be in for an Easter arrival Spirael Grin
Definitely LTB Wink forgetting to tell you about a scan date is punishable by death (or would've been in this house, as I was very hormonal when my scan date came through).

The only stipulations I've been given on when Mini Moomin can be born are -

OH's sister - either before the 27th April, or after the 30th. The 28th is too close to her birthday, the 29th, for her liking.
OH - It has to be born on May 4th, so that it is born on Star Wars day, and so that he can pick it up when it's born and say "I am your father".

Sometimes I really struggle to believe that I'm the younger one in our relationship Hmm

Spirael · 21/10/2013 09:40

"I am your father" to the baby is at least slightly better than him telling you to "Use the Force!" during labour. Wink

bushprincess · 21/10/2013 09:53

morning all

PFJ I'm so sorry to hear your news, I really hope the second op is successful and you have a chance to grieve and recover - you're sounding so strong and have wonderful support around you. much love.

random hope you get through this hard day, it must be very hard to be going through this without the support of your mother.

hugs to everyone whoes feeling sick/ down/tired at the moment... but we'll all be moving on to easier times soon.

Good luck impatiently and Nanny for the scans today - can't wait to hear the good news.

I've been getting un-necessarily anxious the last few days, leading up to my scan on weds (at 11wks ish)... we had a heartbeat on the scan at 9wks and no reason to believe anythings gone wrong except that I just can't quite believe there is anything going on in there.... I've been finding stats on mmc after a hb at 9 wks and they are pretty positive... I'm normally quite reassured by numbers but for some reason not so much now.

I think maybe it's because we've told a few people and now I'm wishing we hadn't...

humph. anyhow, just normal to be anxious I suppose but I really can't WAIT till wednesday

moominleigh94 · 21/10/2013 09:59

Spirael I'd forgotten that, I've no doubt it'll be said at some point.

Just yesterday he was telling me his ideal birth scenario involves him being allowed to dress up as Darth Vader and cut the cord with a lightsaber.

Single parents get a higher rate of income support, don't they? Hmm

McBaby · 21/10/2013 10:52

Scan was all good finally have a proper due date :) of 29/4.

So I am 12w6d today :) very excited now.

moominleigh94 · 21/10/2013 11:00

Yay McBaby glad to hear it :)

PixieBumbles · 21/10/2013 11:19

Successful scan this morning! The baby was a proper little wriggler and did quite a big jump at one point when the lovely sonographer made me laugh! It was incredible to see it reacting to my own movements like that. So all is well here Smile

Hope everybody else having scans today has good news.

impatientlywaiting · 21/10/2013 11:26

Lovely news Pixie and McBaby.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 21/10/2013 11:52

Fantastic news ladies, hopefully the good news will keep on flowing.

Squiffie · 21/10/2013 11:52

Aww, lovely news on the scans Smile

Spirael · 21/10/2013 11:52

But Darth Vader wasn't at the birth of his children, Moomin. Your DP would need to be dressed as Obi-wan instead, though that may cause incorrect implications. Or I guess he could be a droid. Wink Not sure what the hospital would think of lightsaber cord cutting... I suppose it would be quick and hygienic!

Reminds me of my birth plan from last time. Most of it was just suggestions and requests, but in large, red, capital letters I had written that DH was to be kept away from the business end and not asked to cut the cord. He faints at the sight of blood!

Amusingly, he's a first aider at his work.

Congratulations Pixie and McBaby! Only another week and a half to wait here... [twiddles thumbs impatiently] At least I've now graduated to raspberry.

When we make a new thread, can we include a link for the baby sizes represented by fruit page near the top? :)

snoozysleeper · 21/10/2013 11:53

Congratulations on the scan news pixie and mcbaby you must be both so pleased Grin

Good luck for scans later impatiently and nanny

Such a busy scanning day, brings some excitement to another dreary Monday morning!'

snoozysleeper · 21/10/2013 11:55

spirael that's a good idea, the link I use for fruit vs baby size is this one:

m.thebump.com/pregnancy/pregnancy-tools/articles/how-big-is-baby.aspx?MsdVisit=1

It even gives dimensions ... Smile

moominleigh94 · 21/10/2013 11:57

Good stuff with the scan news, and good luck for those with scans later.

Think the link for baby sizes in the first post would be a good idea :) what's our smallest baby on now? Blueberries or raspberries or bigger? Shock

snoozysleeper · 21/10/2013 12:05

moomin I think it's raspberries (don't mind being corrected if I'm wrong)

impatientlywaiting · 21/10/2013 12:11

Yes I think we must span from weeks 8-13 now, which would mean each if us is carrying a raspberry, green olive, prune/kumquat, lime, plum or a peach.

Squiffie · 21/10/2013 12:11

I've got a raspberry and my edd is 31/5/14 so you're probably right [snoozy]
