mumof2 I'm already measuring over 12 weeks according to mw, so I'll be 14ish weeks by then! (either that or I am only 10 weeks now and there's more than one in there)

good news today, glad for both of you

My scan is Tuesday, in Fetal Medicine after my last pregnancy (DS2 had acrania- no skull, a neural tube disorder, hence TFMR). To say I am scared is putting it mildly...

Also have the small matter of exchanging on our house contracts tomorrow- we should complete next Friday so it'll be quite a week. Just hoping it all goes well, keep running through all possible outcomes like finding out there's a problem and I need a TFMR or D&E and we have to move 3 days later... AAAGGGGH.

Perineal massage I didn't do it and tore badly (3rd degree)- however I don't think it would have made a difference at all as DS was 9lb8oz, back to back and I ended up with forceps. I will be having an ELCS if all is well, but it took me the best part of 2 years to heal 'properly' (physically and mentally), and I still have symptoms. Weird I have a consultant appointment for this already but don't know if it's ok... am under 2 different consultants.

On the plus side I haven't been sick for a week- nausea still here though. I've even managed to eat cake

Green notes here and midwife coming to do full medical history on Tuesday at home- one day after the scan anybody else have to use the carbon monoxide tester?? I said I didn't smoke, DP doesn't smoke, there's no smoke in the house- she was like "what about cannabis"?! I must have been too relaxed! Still she made me do the bloody test and then asked if I could produce a second urine sample. I sai I'm not a machine!!! Only did one 10 mins ago!

No idea when my scan is yet, I only just got round to ringing the drs today. Are they always at about 12 weeks still?

I'm really struggling tonight. It's been a long day and I would normally wind down with wine and a cigarette, obviously can't do that now :( DP is driving me mad, DS is in the middle of the worlds biggest tantrum and I just want my bed!

nanny I'd have told her where to shove her pot for a 2nd urine test! The cheek of it! Are you in London? Us London girls seem to be getting the green notes.

Ive never done the perennial massage. And i know I won't this time either. I tore badly with dd1 but was on my back so I blame my inexperience. Tore again with DD2 but not badly, didnt need stitches and it healed within days. I was on my knees for that and midwife said there was nothing I could've done to prevent it.

By week 30, I can barely reach down there.

Nanny it sounds like the midwife may have been covering her ass on that. Maybe a previous mistake? I wouldn't take it personally and it sounds like you'll have no stone unturned which may benefit you. Just a thought.
