squiffie you need someone to fight your corner when in full blown labour. My mw 2nd time round was lovely, she respected everything I said and when I told her she doesnt need to stay whilst I was just having contractions she excused herself as she got the hint to leave us be. But as soon as I called for her and said im going to start pushing she did her job tremendously. My lovely mum bought cream cakes for all the maternity staff the next day as a thank you for them being so good.
1st mw (dd1) was a judgey cow (I was 20 yrs old) and didnt listen to me at all.

Xavielli · 17/10/2013 14:06

Oh I forgot to say, DP went for his appointment re: vasectomy investigation yesterday and yep! Everything has healed itself back together..... That explains it then.

rebecca FAB NEWS! I'm so chuffed for you Grin

random If my dh even thinks about trying to steal my throwing up thunder, I'll punch him. I'm relying on him and ds now that I can't face food. Poor ds makes his own (woefully inadequate) packed lunches and dh makes his and ds's dinner now. (frozen pizza or ready meals).

My mum has been throwing up a lot recently, she reckons it's sympathy symptoms!

dobedobedo · 17/10/2013 14:21

God, I've just realised I sound really neglectful with ds's packed lunches. He still eats plenty and I told him off when I realised he was making fecking NUTELLA sandwiches. It's not that bad really! But even walking into my kitchen makes me retch - I can't do it.

snoozysleeper · 17/10/2013 14:25

mumof2aimingfor4 · 17/10/2013 15:30

Moomin said she had to go straight for an assesment after scan didnt she? So I doubt we'll hear from her till later.

NannyPlumForPM · 17/10/2013 15:36

Moomin wherevaaaaaare you?!

bluestone85 · 17/10/2013 15:42

Yeah, she's busy busy busy today. She posed this yesterday "I wish I could take tomorrow off sad I've got rehearsal from 9am, leaving rehearsal at 10 past 11, scan at 11:40, then as soon as that's finished, back to uni for an assessment - roleplaying as patients for trainee GPs learning how to communicate with and deal with a wide variety of patients smile We're being assessed and so are they shock". Hopefully we shall hear from her soon :)

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 17/10/2013 15:56

Oh good, ok, I worry about her, I want to scoop her up and keep her safe Halloween Blush she probably doesn't need me to keep her safe tho Halloween Grin

bluestone85 · 17/10/2013 15:57

Hahaha :) I think we all worry about each other if we haven't heard from someone in a while! Grin

dobedobedo · 17/10/2013 15:58

And loving the nipple twiddling comments. Did someone say wire brush - ouch!!!

Vikks · 17/10/2013 16:38

rebecca great news, well done!!!

Can't wait to hear from moomin......

moominleigh94 · 17/10/2013 16:41

Aww you guys Blush just got back from my assessment... it's been an absolutely mad day, gone from rehearsal this morning to scan to assessment, BUT -

12 weeks, 3 days, one (thankfully Grin ) lazy but gorgeous bean with a strong heartbeat. Ended up wiggling my way around the hospital to wake him/her up, but it was worth it as we watched him/her wiggling about. Will upload pictures when I can Grin

I'm on cloud nine, everyone on my course knows and is ecstatic, they were bouncing around the uni shouting "Our course is having a baby!" Grin I can't stop looking at the picture! OH very nearly cried in the scan when he saw it wiggling around. Parents are thrilled, everyone's thrilled, we're over the moon Grin

You guys are the best, there's no way I could've gotten through this nervous wait without you :)

bluestone85 · 17/10/2013 16:45

Brilliant news Moomin, so happy for you!! I love the fact that you were wiggling around the hospital. I have visions of people looking at you doing your 'crazy hula-hooping without a hoop wiggling" Grin :) xx

Hezbean · 17/10/2013 16:50

Yippeeee!! So pleased moomin! Congratulations!

So great to have do much good news in one day.

Hugs all round! Xxxx

snoozysleeper · 17/10/2013 16:51

Great news moomin Grin you must feel so happy and relieved (you've been worrying so much) I hope you feel reassured a little now. Can't wait to see the scan pics, let us know when you upload them!

dobedobedo · 17/10/2013 16:51

FANTASTIC Moomin. Just so happy for you! Grin

impatientlywaiting · 17/10/2013 16:52

Yay. Lovely news day on this thread. So pleased for you Moomin.

Vikks · 17/10/2013 16:53

I just had my booking in, my midwife is lovely!
She said I would get my scan before I was 14 weeks! I thought that was a bit slow...
Cheeky me just rang my fertility clinic back and told them this and they booked me in for another reassurance scan for next week (4th one, I'll be 11 weeks)!
I was going to pay and book for a private scan next week as the whole family are coming next Saturday for DS 3rd birthday party and I just want to tell everyone all at once and get it over with. I think I'm past the point of hiding my waistline, I know it's only bloating but I really look PG. So scan on Friday and then I'm telling the world and FB too.

Green notes here (Barnsley).

Had my flu jab too.

Waves to everyone x x x

rebeccax2 · 17/10/2013 16:54
