Boogies We had a new bathroom fitted today and I didn't go either - had the longest wee ever when they left. Grin

moominleigh94 · 28/09/2013 17:59

Boogies sorry to hear you've had to wait so long!

I think the reason it came as such a surprise was because we'd had two lucky escapes previously - I came off the pill because of the effects, and my doctors are awful at arranging alternative contraception (thankfully my new ones seem better Grin ), and basically I hate condoms - and I kind of assumed that because it hadn't happened twice, once more couldn't hurt.

What's that saying about three being a magic number? Grin I do consider myself very lucky, even if it wasn't planned.

NannyPlumForPM · 28/09/2013 18:16

allioh that's shocking!! U would def ring up and check on mon. 4 weeks seems a lot to be out by!!! I know you can have periods and be pregnant (as my friends did for 6 months of her pg) do it is possible but if you were ttc then you would know when the conception roughly was! Maybe a second opinion needed? But definitely a check at the very least!!

NannyPlumForPM · 28/09/2013 18:17

Oh and mine was a legs akimbo lets try for a baby pre-curry wine fuelled moment :p

NannyPlumForPM · 28/09/2013 18:18

I may have misread the post allioh was it after a dating scan or did the midwife just add up wrong!?

AliOh · 28/09/2013 18:22

NannyPlum she just left a message saying I need to come in for booking in on Monday and scan ASAP as according to lmp I am 12 weeks. I know for a fact I would of written last lmp was 5th aug because we were ttc! Have to ring back 2moro morning so will see what she says but it doesn't fill me with confidence whatever happens, especially since apparently I don't exist on the nhs system! Rant over haha

NannyPlumForPM · 28/09/2013 18:47

Hmm she sounds a bit of a wally!

moominleigh94 · 28/09/2013 19:13

Was really looking forward to a night out with OH and my friends from last year... my housemate has invited herself along with us and she's nice but she doesn't know anyone at the uni and doesn't seem very sociable, she clings to my OH a lot (I know I sound like a jealous freak but I'm pregnant, I'm allowed to be). I want OH to be able to enjoy himself tonight Sad

FacebookStoleMyLife · 28/09/2013 20:24

Ooh Moomin I say strut your stuff and shake those (probably extra juicy these days) jublies, and don't worry your OH knows exactly what side his bread's buttered on.

Chip did you go to pick up the in-laws in the end or did the strop prevail? I sort of wish I'd thrown a strop this morning, I had a really nice day out with our friends but we went to a food festival! Started well (very scrummy pancake) but quickly took a turn for the worse. Very worn out, famished and sick sick sick now.

Welcome newbies!

Alioh sounds like they've got themselves very confused at your doctors, give them a ring and sort them out. BUT it might be cheeky but if you just go with it you can get them to bring your 12 week scan right forward and you'll get a cheeky extra scan.

Blimey Jess a whole day without a wee? Impressive. I can't make it 2 hours at the mo

PixieBumbles · 28/09/2013 20:24

Had a total pregnancy brain moment earlier. Paying after filling up the car and couldn't understand why my pin number that I've had for ages wasn't working.

Turns out my passcode for the photocopier at work will not work with my bank card Blush The lady behind the counter was not impressed.

Squiffie · 28/09/2013 20:43

PixieBumbles the code for the house alarm never works either! Confused

I'm worried about having no symptoms. I just don't feel pregnant at all. I just have an achy/crampy feeling all the time Sad

I'm 7+3. Someone please tell me this is within the realms of 'normal' as didn't even know I was pregnant until 9 or 10 weeks with previous two!

FacebookStoleMyLife · 28/09/2013 21:13

Squiffie very very normal, and the cramps are a very normal symptom too. Lots and lots of healthy pregnancies have no early symptoms at all so try not to let it get to you too much. But when it does come and chat to us, we all understand the worry.

Pixie that made me chuckle! I'll make sure I'm extra careful at the shops.

Cybercat · 28/09/2013 21:45

Hi Squiffy I have very few symptoms too and am symptom spotting like mad. Really though I just have PMS type boobs and abdominal discomfort (intermittent). Its so tempting to buy more digital tests but if I added up the cost of those weekly I could afford an early scan. Hang in there Squiffy we'll be fine Smile

Squiffie · 28/09/2013 22:43

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I'm currently at work feeling sick as a dog but think that's just this place! Lol x

Squiffie · 28/09/2013 22:44

DH doesn't actually trust the tests I did as they were 3 for a £1 cheapies! Hmm

Chip86 · 28/09/2013 23:47

Hi Facebook my strop got me new jeans Grin but also got to sit on the M25 for 3 hours. and we still not left sister in-law to go home yet has been a good dsy but tired and full of cold

moominleigh94 · 29/09/2013 00:37

I'm back Grin had an awesome time, everyone loved my SuperTed costume complete with stuffed head. Had so many people asking for photos, randomly hugging me and just stroking my head when I was walking past/stood at the bar. Best bit is, no hangover (probably still sickness tomorrow though!) and I'll remember everything, I'm really starting to like staying sober Shock Grin

snoozysleeper · 29/09/2013 00:46

Glad you had a good time moomin Grin

Cupcake1985 · 29/09/2013 09:14

Feelin :( today. Fed up. Dh is being a twat. Hes gone to london today so guess its a day for cleaning and food shopping for me. Its my birthday tomorrow. I went out for the day with friends yesterday and he didnt even text so ask if i was having fun. When i txt him he just replied moaning about the football. I dont know if im being sensitive. I blame his emotionally challenged dad he was with. Rant over.

moominleigh94 · 29/09/2013 09:35

Hugs cupcake, happy birthday for tomorrow. Sorry to hear you're feeling down Sad

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/09/2013 09:36

Cupcake give him the benefit of the doubt, why has he gone to london? Could he be getting something for your birthday, maybe theatre tickets? Don't worry though your not the only one that feels put out at the moment. DP reckons he's getting sympathy symptoms, can't I just feel shit on my own without it having to turn around and be about him?!

Cupcake1985 · 29/09/2013 09:57

He's gone for a planned day out with his friends. I don't really mind (second year he's been busy my birthday weekend, actually missed my birthday last year watching football) he did take me for a meal fri though. It's just his lack of interest in what I'm doing, lack of questions, sighing when I talk as he wants to watch tv, I mentioned a girls weekend and he said I can't go as I won't have the money, he's meant to be making me dinner tomorrow as he's off work but looks like I'm buying the food and directing him what to make. His dad is one of those men who thinks women should cook and clean (as well as work) and his opinion is the only right one. DH is a mini me to him and its worse wen he's seen him a lot, like recently, it's just rudeness in my opinion.

DH also has the same habit as your DH! If I'm tired he's so tired he can't move. If I'm feeling ill he's so ill he's going to bed early. Why can't he just be sympathetic and shower me with attention??

AliOh · 29/09/2013 09:58

facebook I did think of doing that but the same thing happened to my friend, she had an 8 week scan and then didn't get another until 20 weeks! Anyway I just spoke to the midwife and she apologised but she got me mixed up with another girl she was trying to contact. They apparently can't find any record of me on the hospital system (makes sense because I've never been admitted to hospital) so I have my booking appointment (finally!) in two weeks when ill be exactly 10 weeks :) and now I feel rather guilty for being so angry yesterday that they'd messed up already (love these hormones Hmm

Glad you had a good night moomin I'm facing my friends hen do soon and dreading it! She asked me to be a bridesmaid but she is getting married in Thailand in January I'm so gutted I can't go :(

Sorry to hear you're feeling down cupcake and a huge big happy birthday for tomorrow Grin

Feels I've the first day in forever Im full of energy I'm even considering taking the dog for a walk before 12 on a Sunday! Shock

moominleigh94 · 29/09/2013 10:02

Aw AliOh that's a shame Sad

I was one of my OH's sister's bridesmaids this year, but they were only getting married half an hour away - and I wasn't pregnant! - so it wasn't too bad :) it was a lovely day.

JuniorMint · 29/09/2013 10:13

Hello!

I think I have added myself into the stats (hope I've done it right and that its ok to just add on!). My EDD is 14th May, I'm 7+4 today so round about a raspberry I think!
