loopylou52 · 28/09/2013 12:01

Hi everyone,

Sorry to those feeling rubbish today. I'm having a better feeling day so far today so trying to appreciate it while it lasts.

We had our private scan today and everything was great - spot on for dates (well, one day out) and a good strong heartbeat. Amazing and such a relief! Smile

Afternoon all, and Thanks to all the newbies - we must be approaching 100 Maybies by now Shock - we have been busy this summer lol!

Can't believe we're on the third thread already - I only missed one day and spent 45 mins catching up!

Here's the linky to the baby size site in case anyone missed it.

8 weeks today - MiniRRRabbit's a raspberry!!! Grin

dobedobedo · 28/09/2013 12:08

I'm supposed to be doing a food shop today but I just can't face it. I might not leave the house all day!
Do supermarkets make anyone else feel sicker? I can't get around tesco these days without retching every few minutes. Confused

thistlelicker · 28/09/2013 12:09

Today I don't even feel a tiny bit pregnant!!! I wish I had consistent symptoms!!! Even boobs r less sore!!! I keep expecting to start bleeding!! Somebody slap me!!!!

dobedobedo · 28/09/2013 12:11

jessica I was just wondering why so many of us were here. Was there nothing good on the telly in August?!

JessicaRRRabbit · 28/09/2013 12:13

Dobe, I know what you mean, nearly boaked by the fish counter at morrisons yesterday. Envy

I never really liked eating fish so avoid it at all costs but I thought that fresh fish wasn't supposed to smell fishy?? They've got it wrong there if so!

dobedobedo · 28/09/2013 12:13

SLAP thistle! I find myself wishing I felt sick and then when I feel sick, I wish I didn't. Pregnancy is a funny ole thing. My other half is terrified every time I come out of the bathroom in case I'm gonna give him bad news. I do keep "checking" too. I think it's normal to be so neurotic!

JessicaRRRabbit · 28/09/2013 12:16

No slaps allowed for totally normal and understandable thoughts thistle - only Brew and possibly Cake . You'll be feeling sick and sore again before you know it, don't worry. Wink

JessicaRRRabbit · 28/09/2013 12:18

Dobe you're harsh!! Did you read 50 Shades too?? Grin

mumof2aimingfor4 · 28/09/2013 12:43

Nah she'd have spanled thistle instead of slap ;)

mumof2aimingfor4 · 28/09/2013 12:43

Oh poo, meant spanked

moominleigh94 · 28/09/2013 12:45

positive mental attitude thistle

AliOh · 28/09/2013 12:49

Dobedo I think it's the lights in the supermarkets that make me feel ill!

Help please everyone I'm having a dilemma! So I'm making my lists of what we need and costs (so we can budget) and found the car seat I want half price on sale! Do I buy or not? I'm really reluctant to but my mum is saying just buy it! And I could do with saving as much money as possible! What do you guys think?

JessicaRRRabbit · 28/09/2013 13:10

Lol mumof2 good job no spanking or else thistle's inner goddess might have exploded. Shock Grin

Buy it AliOh - sounds like a good deal and it's good to spread out the major purchases too imo.

Are any NW Maybies at Event City for the Baby & Toddler show tomorrow btw?

Halfbaked · 28/09/2013 13:14

dobedo I agree about shopping, I think I'll try and do some online shopping. I'd buy the car seat, can't resist a bargain!

I think I'll have the flu jab, I've just had a letter about DD's flu vaccine, unfortunately if I want her to have it she'll have to have an injection as the nasal spray isn't allowed if a household member I pregnant!

Cybercat · 28/09/2013 13:24

AliOh Id buy the car seat if it is a good deal - its not like you are rushing out buying everything xx

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 28/09/2013 13:24

Roses I'm with you - this is my second and last! I will never put myself through the hell of early pregnancy again! Am so sick of feeling ill ALL the time!

Twins would be terrifying. Have wondered what on earth we would do financially not to mention the logistics - of birth, sleep, everything!

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 28/09/2013 13:28

And have also been wondering why May is so popular! I guess it's nine months after peak wedding/holiday season! Makes me more inclined towards homebirth in case the lovely birth centre near me is full up. My last birth was over Christmas and I had the whole place to myself!
