jessica I'd like to say I feel better but I don't [pukeface] hoping antibiotic effects kick in soon!

I'd be furious dobedo its not anyone else's business to be telling people!

moomin you mean you liked mornings before?! Lol x

I've found a way to contact community midwifery team directly now because did I mention my GP surgery are crap so hopefully will be booked in before I go on h

Squiffie · 03/10/2013 10:23

*holiday.

Silly sausage fingers posting too soon!

BoogiesBunny · 03/10/2013 10:23

dobe I am FURIOUS on your behalf! That is so upsetting! Telling everyone should be something you control, not that's taken out of your hands and spread around like juicy gossip!

I have been having wild dreams lately - not sure they're a symptom but they are fascinating. Last night I dreamt that DH and I had just met and we were flirting and so completely in love - we just hung out and then I kissed him at the end of the dream. I woke up feeling all googly as it reminded me of that young girl in love feeling. Gave him an extra tight cuddle when I left for work.

moominleigh94 · 03/10/2013 11:09

I'd be fuming dobe, the people I've told have been told in confidence and I'd be furious if they told others!

Aaw Boogies that made me feel mushy inside! And slightly Envy as OH killed me in my dream. And when I woke up he'd gone to uni, and the only thing that made me sure the dream was fake was that he'd left me a lovely mushy note that wouldn't seem right if he'd just attempted murder.

BoogiesBunny · 03/10/2013 11:16

LOL moomin - love the post-dream confusion!

Spirael · 03/10/2013 11:32

I tend to get crazy dreams normally, but it's up to eleven at the moment! I was being chased around by a giant dragon last night, which was a little terrifying. The weirdest part was when the dragon did a big scary eyeball stare then snap at me, at which point I was immediately woken up as DD started crying in the next room. There were a few moments of confusion there where I was wondering if she was seeing the same dreams I was!

Aside from you lovely ladies and a few other MN people I'm in groups with on FB, we've told my DP and DPiL and I've told one person at work. Someone who I trust to keep it secret, but to make someone aware of the circumstances in case there's a problem like I throw up or faint. Normally I'd tell the office First Aider... But I am the First Aider!

Cybercat · 03/10/2013 12:54

My consultant at work has done the same to me dobedo - he said 'was it a secret then?'. Id been very clear that it was a secret.

Have caved in and booked a private reassurance scan for next week -excited!

JessicaTheWereRRRabbit · 03/10/2013 12:55

I dreamed that DH was pregnant and overdue and that his completely usual terrible wind was the start of his labour Confused Decode that one, you Freudians! Grin

Monstamio · 03/10/2013 12:59

Afternoon maybies!
Loving the crazy dreams... when I go to sleep I think I go into a coma so nothing like that here yet!
dobe I would also be furious... especially when you haven't even told people you're close to yet. Why do some people think it's acceptable to share other people's news?
Having a tough day today. Got up at 4am to drive 100 miles to a breakfast meeting and then the bloody motorway was closed with no diversion signs so I drove 20 mins in the wrong direction before I realised... all the time wanting to just pull over and vom in the hedge Sad And then had to sit through the meeting feeling like death.
But I'm back now and have given myself a rare afternoon off and am presently watching bargain hunt with cat on lap so things are looking up.

I can't check names as on phone but pretty sure someone had a scan today. .. be sure to let us know how it went!

And if longtailedtit finds out a cure for low bp please pass it on... 85/55 here so I feel your pain (almost).

Squiffie · 03/10/2013 13:02

Woohoo, finally got a booking appointment for t

Squiffie · 03/10/2013 13:03

*tomorrow.

Monstamio · 03/10/2013 13:16

Hooray Squiffie Grin

Did they ask you to take a urine sample? If not perhaps have some water or a cuppa before you go. I was asked to produce one on the spot which took a bit of effort... and I then weed all over my hands as was so worried about not catching what little there was! Shock

Magpie78 · 03/10/2013 13:16

Hi everyone just got back from my scan, they said my dates are right and there is definitely someone in there. Too early to see a heart beat yet though so have to go back next Friday.

onefunkymama · 03/10/2013 13:27

Back from my scan, we could see a little heartbeat which they said looked fine, set my dates back to 5+4. They said the bleeding was nothing to worry about as its minor. ..... They also saw a second amniotic sac but said I have to go back in two weeks to see how that one develops, as they can't see a baby in there now, it could just be behind the other one development wise, or could be nothing a non-starter. We'll see, hubby and I a bit freaked out at finding there's a slim chance we might have twins!!!

Magpie78 · 03/10/2013 13:31

Wow! Am pleased that they saw your heartbeat, hopefully will get a similar result next week. Two!!! Bet the next two weeks are going to take forever! Do you have twins in your family?

loopylou52 · 03/10/2013 13:33

Great scan news both of you. Eek re possible twins mama but how exciting!

moominleigh94 · 03/10/2013 13:40

Yay great scan news :)

I feel like I'm going to be the last one in this thread to see if there's anything in there what's in there (positive thinking Hmm ) at this rate Grin

10+2

Squiffie · 03/10/2013 13:44

Oh wow mama possibility of twins?! How exciting Grin

moomin your scan will be before mine as I'm only 8+1

No mention of a sample monstamio but I can pee on demand atm Hmm

Cupcake1985 · 03/10/2013 13:54

Midwife called! Booked in for the 29th for my meeting - ill be a day short of 10 weeks but she said thats fine as i feel normal. Need to pick up my pack from the docs now to complete :) not sure about a scan though so ill ask the docs what happens ....

onefunkymama · 03/10/2013 14:03

No, no twins on either side of the family as far as I know. I have a feeling the second one won't develop as it seems pretty far behind the other but, as the hospital said, you never can tell! So reassured to know that there's (at least one) that's strong. There's nothing quite like seeing the heartbeat to reassure you all's well.

Congrats to all the others who've had good scans today, long may all the good news last

NannyPlumForPM · 03/10/2013 14:03

Hello Hello, Looks like I'm 9+6 at the moment Shock I suspect I have been counting incorrectly, but I'm almost on a whole new fruit.

MS is slowly going away - I have felt fine for most of today is it a good thing mama that it may be twins or not so exciting?

I have bought all my xmas presents due to spending ridiculous amounts of time on tinternet :-\

TheAlyssWithTheMewlingQuim · 03/10/2013 14:03

My booking appointment is the 21st October. Is it worth asking if I can give birth at the same place as last time? I've moved one town away from where I was before, so apparently my main hospital is now Medway not Ashford.

dobedobedo · 03/10/2013 14:41

Awww it's so exciting to hear about the scans. Glad they're going well for everyone! And twins! Wow!

Isean · 03/10/2013 14:44

moomin I'm the same as you, I feel left behind by everyone getting reassurance scans! I'm 10+3 and waiting for a date to come in. I don't think I'll be able to get a scan until I'm 14 weeks as next Friday I go away for work for almost 2 very stressful weeks (my whole working year builds up to these 2 weeks!) and I've been told it's highly unlikely I'll get a scan date for next week Sad I'd rather know everything was ok before I went, and also because it will be very hard to hide when I am away.

Almost tempted to try to get a private scan next week, but really would struggle to afford it, so my sensible head is telling me to be patient!

thistlelicker · 03/10/2013 15:23

I had a reassurance scan today as don't have symptoms!!! Dates correct at 9+1, edd 7 may! I can't believe how formed it is!!! Is there any way we have a wall of fame where we can display our proud fury and veg ;-)
