Had a quick read this morning - congrats gt and umlauf!!!

Scan is at 9.40 so will let you all know. All dry overnight, maybe I was wrong? I would have put money on it though! Gah! Off to get ready.

SC at 39+1. Ugh I am over this now. I am sure this baby will be lovely, but its in the way ALL THE SODDING TIME now. Had enough.

sc here @39 weeks. trying to be patient and resign myself to it being at least another week. off to sil's today to play with my gorgeous nephew which will either distract me or make me super broody!! still getting lots of bh here but nothing more!!

DS2 has a bit of a gunky eye since last night - I've been cleaning it with cotton wool and boiled water then squirting him with milk. Any more suggestions?

I was awake all night full of cold, feel rotten today but at least I don't have to go to work.

The dog's just left for her op. A day of fretting awaits. Hopefully I can pick her up around 3pm if all goes well. Poor thing Hmm

SC 36+5 here, first time going to our local mums group (invited by a friend who goes!) to pass the maternity leave and get to know some others. Hoping the comment up thread about holding other babies bringing on labour by oxytocin isn't too effective just yet!

SC her 38+6 but actually managed to sleep last night and feel more human. can do another week of this if I actually sleep at night...
Also got to look round the MLU last night. Havent been before just incase but its amazing. so chilled and only 3 rooms 2 with birrthing pools and even the one without has a huge bath which you can labour in. Now just desperately hoping baby makes an appearance before being 12 days late because they cant have you then. come on baby!

Tarlia, my DD had that about a week or so after birth, i was doing the same as you are and it wasnt really getting any better so took her to the docs. It was conjunctivitus and he prescribed some eye drops, aparrently very common in newborns. Cleared up in a day so highly recommend popping over to the gp!

Tarlia that sounds like the right thing to do - you could try a tiny bit of salt in the water too. Make sure you use separate bits for each eye (I'm sure you are!)
DS and I are off to meet my best friend and her dd at the park soon and then I'm going for the scan. Baby has been quiet today and I don't have time to lie on my side....

Eek - I think my waters have just broken. Didn't happen with dd but there's definitely a lot of leakage (which do just had to clear up from the bathroom floor)! Not quite an exorcist moment for me though!

Tarlia, I second advice from cherry, I did exactly same with DS when he was a few days old, didn't clear so went to GP who gave us drops xxx

tarlia so happy you are both back home with your little boy and hope his eye gets better soon. No experience and no advice here re: the eye, sorry. Is your CS wound pain better now? Everyone keeps telling me that DS will play up a bit when the baby arrives, no matter how excited and loving he is. Hope it's not to hard for you. Is your DH still off work to help you? xx

chickie MIL is leaving on Sunday... taking her for a walk in Balham today for a change... coffee and cake at Bertie & Boo's if you know it? 2 more days :-)

Exhausted today as 5 wee trips last night. DP keeps telling me to drink less. Told him to shut up and stop being stupid.

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone - sorry... I'm well jel and well pissed off about my 22nd October due date now! Sad Grin
