hayle my left boob was always bigger and more efficient. I could get almost twice as much milk from the left one than from the right one. I really think it's quite common that one always performs better so wouldn't worry. I've known a couple of women who fed the baby almost entirely from one breast. Perhaps you can ask them tomorrow too?

claphammama · 26/09/2013 22:32

I mean "them" as the nurses in the hospital of course :-)

notsoold · 26/09/2013 22:33

Legally...I second haylebop on strike!!! But really really congrats in dealing with the twins and everything else!!

Hayle I don't know about expressing as I never did in my other pgs but my best best wishes for Isaac. Xxx

Umlauf...keep us posted ok???

I am also 35+6 today!!!

Sorry not able to remember everyone else...but keep going ladies as I really enjoy reading the posts ( apologies for lurking more than anything).
My dd is 19 today and boy do I feel old??? Looking at her photos I was do young!!! Having a wobble about being a relic!!!:(

My elcs will be on the 18 of October ( at 39 weeks). Unless baby turn and stops being breech.or decides to come before that date....
I decided agains a ecv as it would be stressful for lo and not guaranteed. But the good news?? Diabetes under control so baby seems to be growing at normal rate and not too much liquor anymore!!! I have put on 1.4 stone and it is much less than in the past ( 2.5 stones and 3 stones). But maybe the reason is the ms ( 3 days at week at least). Really could do with a milkshake!!

GTbaby · 26/09/2013 22:40

Gt baby has arrived. Exhausted ATM. Will post details later.

Shirehobbit · 26/09/2013 22:43

Congratulations, GT! Flowers

Was literally just popping in to say goodnight, as exhausted, but so are you, I'm sure!!

Hope Umlauf is ok and anyone else in early labour or starting twinges.

Sleep well (or as well as we can) x

Congratulations GT!!! Xxxxx

PseudoBadger · 26/09/2013 22:56

Congratulations GT!!

Pinkforboys · 26/09/2013 22:59

Congratulations on babyGT arriving!

hayle- i second clapham's experience. One of my boobs was def more effective than the other last time and I'm pretty sure it was the left. It's good to keep swapping over though to even things out.

I knew there had to be some upside of being 'older'- I now realise it's the decreased libido! At least it'll keep DH at a safe distance til I've healed... I thought the advice was to wait a few weeks, arguably the 6 weeks it takes your body to recover properly from the trauma it's been thru.
My Mum was advised to 'make sure it was all in working order' before the 3 month check up. Hence there being less than a year between my brothers...

Sleep well all! x

cherrycherry41 · 26/09/2013 23:02

Congrats GT!! Grin Thanks

claphammama · 26/09/2013 23:13

congrats gt!!

and goodnight everyone - I wish us all very few toilet trips tonight!

moonblues · 26/09/2013 23:45

Congratulations GT!

Legally your DH Shock. Hopefully he'll be very apologetic tomorrow. It's hardly like you enjoy the fact you're still bleeding and are exhausted from looking after 3 children, 2 of whom are newborns that you're breastfeeding!

AnythingNotEverything · 26/09/2013 23:45

Huge congrats GT. Can't wait to hear more.

Have a good sleep everyone.

roxvox · 26/09/2013 23:46

Congratulations GT and family! Looking forward to reading the story and seeing a pic on FB Smile

Night night everyone, hope you all sleep well.

funkky · 26/09/2013 23:50

Congrats GT. hope baby Isaac gets better quick.

Waves good night to everyone!

FeministInTraining · 26/09/2013 23:57

Congratulations GT, lovely to have another baby on the thread!

Hopefully baby Bertie will make an appearance before morning, good luck Umlauf

hayle it's lovely that you're able to do nappy changes and feeds while Isaac is in neonatal, enjoy your cuddles and I hope the days go quickly until you get him home. It's so sweet that Amelia gets to stand up in assembly!

Legally you sound like you're doing great, glad you realise DH is being a tool!

Can't remember anything else, lots of bh this evening and felt pressure for the first time when I was bouncing on my ball so hopefully baby is engaging...

Night night xx

HeffalumpTheFlump · 27/09/2013 00:44

Hello sorry havent had a chance to read the thread, and sorry iv been away from it for a few days. I may be SWIL at 37+5. Pretty sure my waters broke earlier this evening so went to labour ward. Dry pads since then so they have sent me home but scheduled a scan for the morning to check th fluid around baby. I'm so sure it was my waters as I went to go for a wee, had a trickle of wee and there was a sudden woosh of a lot of fluid that I couldn't stop. It felt completely different to the wee.

Bit scary because I was supposed to be having a c section at 39+3 so a couple of weeks early. They have said I would need to have steroids :(

Absolutely shattered, so off to bed. Will post again when I know what's happening. Hope you are all ok.

KarmaBiatch · 27/09/2013 01:14

good luck for the morning Heffa hopefully you'll get a decent sleep.

SeriousStuff · 27/09/2013 01:24

Wonderful news GT - can't wait to hear the details!

Good luck Umlauf!

chickieno1 · 27/09/2013 03:27

Lost my post Angry

pseudo I agree with you re going to the best paeds hospital to get the foetal echo done. They re so used to doing the scans and I'm sure they'll be able to reassure you. Sorry your dp reacted like he did but he's probably worried. Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow.

Congrats gt on arrival of your ds. Hoe you're getting some rest now Flowers

hayley hope baby Isaac will be off oxygen tomorrow. Well done on looking after him so well in nicu. I agree with clapham and pink my left breast was bigger than the right and ds preferred this side too. Keep trying to empty both sides though. Xx

clapham glad to hear you're getting a bit of space to yourself. When is visit over?

Thinking of you umlauf and sending positive vibes your way xx

heffa good luck tomorrow xx

Well done on home birth prep pre ana

I am soooo tired. Two nights of poor sleep. Getting up 5 times for the loo, interrupted by ds looking for teddies etc, woken up eventually by ds at like half six boo. Dragged myself around all day, so tired had palpitations. Poor ds watched way too much peppa pig today :(

Also was supposed to have obs appt on wed, got there to be told she couldn't make appt (in fairness due to delayed CS) and that she d see me at my CS next Friday! I wanted to ask about steroids, and my grp B strep results. I should have asked her to ring me but I didn't want to cause a fuss and felt in the greater scheme of things everything is actually fine. Anyway sorry for the rant but knew you ladies would understand.

chickieno1 · 27/09/2013 03:33

Legally your dh!! He must think you're superwoman (we know you are). I have a feeling my dh has forgotten about the whole lochia issue too and I bled forever.

Ok going to try and sleep now. Xx

MrsHoratioNelson · 27/09/2013 04:04

Whoop whoop another baby :). Well done GT and congratulations. Looking forward to hearing all about it web you've caught your breath.

Good luck Heff. Might the waters stopping be baby acting like a plug and stopping the flow?

Umlauf hope you're doing OK.

Hope the rest of you aren't lying awake like me Angry
