Holy hell fav how appalling. No wonder you're traumatised. I am so sorry that that happened to Jack,I have never heard the like before. Poor little mite.xx

textbook · 01/10/2013 23:43

Bloody hell Fav I'm speechless. Really hope Jack is doing ok, and totally right you have a room and 24hr access to him after what you've been through. Fx you can take him home soon and his poor head is better ThanksThanksThanks

notsoold · 02/10/2013 00:08

Favellio....thinking of you!!!

Clapham...we went to the cinema last Sunday and even with frequent loo visits it was a good distraction ( we saw prisoners...) Not my cup of tea!!

Diege I hope everything goes well with the doctor regarding c section!!

I was told no nail varnish at all ( mani nor pedi).

Back to lurking!!:)

TheFalconsmistress · 02/10/2013 00:23

Poor you fav and wee Jack I hope you get him home soon and the answers you deserve after such a traumatic time Flowers

SeriousStuff · 02/10/2013 00:33

Fav out of all eventualities you plan for, that's the last thing you'd expect to happen! Glad you're getting some cuddles though. Babies are so resilient!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 02/10/2013 00:46

Favellio I have no idea what to say. I'm so sorry, that sounds absolutely awful. I'm thinking of you, dh and baby jack. Flowers xxxx

legallyblond · 02/10/2013 00:47

Favellio - poor you, and poor Jack. Really really hope IOU can all go home soon, but glad that you have full access to him. I wouldn't worth too much about him not latching / sucking. Hugo didn't get it even remotely for a good 48 hours and just had colostrum hand expressed and fed by syringe. He's a champ feeder now Smile. I think he just couldn't be bothered until he started to get hungry (the first couple of days they have all the reserves from when they were inside) and my colostrum started to turn "milky"!

legallyblond · 02/10/2013 00:47

IOU = you...

PseudoBadger · 02/10/2013 00:51

Just waiting to leave triage after my BP was nice and high before bed, was still high when we got here so was monitored and given Nifidepine again which has brought it down a bit again. So they are sending me home with a dose of Nifidepine for the morning to take before I go back to the day unit again. 1+ protein in urine so they sent that off and took more bloods, results in the morning. Again they said the plan is to get through the next 5 days until planned cs date.

Favellio that is horrendous, you poor poor things xxx

SeriousStuff · 02/10/2013 01:12

Pseudo here's to the next 5 days. You must be shattered.

I'm such a bad mother. This week, I have succumbed to a glass of red wine and some brie...man they were good!

doobeedee · 02/10/2013 05:16

Hi all. Been contracting since 1.30 and just had a show. Up now and timing contractions.

Sanjifair · 02/10/2013 05:52

Just to echo what others have said favellio, appalled by what happened to Jack, you must be so worried. Fingers crossed for a swift recovery.

Good luck doobeedoo!

Iheartcrunchiebars · 02/10/2013 06:16

Slippysnow · 02/10/2013 07:13

What an awful experience for you all favel. I remember seeing an er episode where something similar happened ad thinking how terrible it must've been.

doob good luck.

Raspberry leaf tea seems to be having an effect on me seem to get more bh after taking it.

OrangeBlossom2 · 02/10/2013 07:14

DH and I just realised I may have slept through the night last night! I don't even remember getting up for a wee! Still knackered but that has made me happy.

Natalieand · 02/10/2013 07:15

I'm not really sure what to say fav that sounds like an absolutely appalling experience!!!!! I'm glad you are able to be a little closer to baby jack though and hopefully he'll be home with u soon xx

How exciting doobeedoo xxx

Don't no if its just me but everytime I wake up for a wee in the night I find myself pausing for a few seconds just to make sure its not a contraction that's woken me up lol (wishfully thinking and all that)

SC @ 38+2 xx

doobeedee · 02/10/2013 07:43

Phoned hospital and they told me the usual have a bath and some paracetamol. Contractions have tailed off a bit so they told me to try and sleep as I've been up since 1.

pinkbuttons · 02/10/2013 07:49

Morning ladies,
favellio what an awful experience for you all. Am glad the hospital are at least accomodating you and you are able to be close to little Jack. really hope hes better soon and that you are recovering well x

pseudo sorry you were in triage again last night, really hope you managed to get some sleep in the end.

Good Luck doobeedee Hope you manage to get some sleep and contractions come back later in the day for you.

nat your not the only one, also do a lot of pausing to check I have no pain when up in the night then get disappointed when theres not.
39+4 SC and DH has started getting the phone calls and ext messages as well. including from my Grandparents who may have finally had one sarcastic comment to many in the past few days... oops
Also bit concerned about babys movt as definitely not as wriggly as normal but going to wait an hr or so and call midwife.

jelly how is your back?

JellyCurls · 02/10/2013 07:53

Favel that is horrendous I hope Jack makes a quick recovery and you and DH are getting plenty if support from the hospital.

Doobee good luck for today, do try get some rest if you can as labour is exhausting. My contractions tailed off with DC1 due to exhaustion. Can't wait to hear your baby news

Well I am SFW at 40+2 got midwife later who has permission from consultant to do a second sweep, not normally attempted till 40+5 cue Jelly pulling off some cool gymnastics moves with 2 DC banging at bathroom door in attempt of a tidy up! induction booked for Monday if needed but with all the horror induction stories I am hearing I am not sure I want induced

JellyCurls · 02/10/2013 07:55

Pink my back is still sore and my 6yr old is having to put my socks on as I can't bend very well. Paracetamol every four hours taking edge off it which is good and have a hot water bottle permanently stuck down back of my jeans.

dontworryjustpanic · 02/10/2013 07:59

So shocked to read about your experience favellio. Best wishes to you Jack & hubby. Hope you are all safely home very soon

pinkbuttons · 02/10/2013 08:02

sorry to hear still sore jelly but glad paracetemol and hot water bottle are helping a bit. and bless your DD thats lovely shes looking after you.

Also I think we need to hurry up and finish this thread... the completely rational pregnant part of my brain has decided that my baby just doesnt want to be born on this one so will wait for the next... Grin
