lol mnippy aka hotsoup your ethnicity has never crossed my mind before!! I just assumed you loved them that's why Grin I am crazy about them. You live in London right? Have you heard about Leong's Legend restaurant in China Town? I think the best ones I've tried so far... but if you know better places I will be eternally grateful. I miss your old nickname Sad

feminist I know... and imagine I did the school run this morning without any make up, without even brushing my hair or teeth and in the same clothes I wore yesterday. I looked awful but all I could think of is going back to bed once I get home. (I promise I've had a shower and brushed my teeth since). Slummy mummy... My DS goes to a state school, not an independent one, but it's so good that you have to pay a fortune to live nearby...

And I'm so impressed at your DP! He is such a wise man not to offer any advice or opinion unless asked Grin good training! Grin

Falcon half the battle is identifying and acknowledging your feelings, and it sounds like you've already done this. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression (and been on citalopram all through my pg), I can completely empathise. Glad you've made an appointment and never dismiss medication as part of your treatment. I was very anti to begin with but it's really helped me rebalance the chemicals in my brain!

I'm hoping to look at further CBT once the baby's here, with a view to come off the meds slowly...but with all the hormonal changes, I wasn't willing to come off them yet.

I know you're right Clapham and MIL will be able to see her at Yorkhill when I can't be there.
There is a Ronald McDonald House next to Yorkhill but I'm not sure if we'd qualify for a stay there as we live in Glasgow anyway. It would be ideal if we could as I'm not sure how I'll cope with the bus journey to and from hospital each day post cs. Having 4 other dc to think about makes it so difficult too.
I think I need to stop over thinking everything and just see what happens when she arrives.

PseudoBadger · 30/09/2013 14:41

Clapham we at Westminster Environmental Health often visit Wong Kei. Have you been?

claphammama · 30/09/2013 14:48

no never pseudo. where is it?

Racheld33 · 30/09/2013 15:09

Just a quick hello to GT I was in agony down below after DS birth. I only had 1 stitch but was so swollen, I really felt crippled by the pain. Got my midwife to check everything when she came, but it just seemed I was swollen. I took maximum paracetamol and ibuprofen for at least the first 4 weeks, and when sitting used to rest a massive soft squidgy cool pack thing straight out of the freezer (bought from physio for previous back injury) as that was the only thing that gave me slight relief Flowers

Mnippy · 30/09/2013 15:12

Hah, I have visited Wong Kei since I was little and am sure it is almost continuously infringing health and safety! I never ever want to visit the kitchens. Never been to leong's legend, but have heard it's good.

PseudoBadger · 30/09/2013 15:16

Yes great food, ignore the surroundings and service :o
It's on wardour street near the W hotel.

claphammama · 30/09/2013 15:24

thanks - another place to try! (and I know - always ignore the service Grin )

taking about health and safety - I'm just procrastinating before attempting the mammoth task of cleaning my fridge... as I'm sure it's become a health hazard by now.

Pink you gave up prawns?! Shock I didn't think they were on the 'avoid' list as long as they are cooked? I love prawns! Grin

Smitten1981 · 30/09/2013 16:14

Congrats Cherry. Great name, Frederick is going to be our baby's middle name after my lovely grandad Smile

Umlauf · 30/09/2013 16:30

Congratulations cherry ! I love the name Freddie, it was my second choice!

I've added onto the second spreadsheet but no idea how to highlight on the first or change the colour, sorry!

MotherOfNations · 30/09/2013 16:32

Congratulations Cherry.

A woman from Lagans Foundation (a support group I registered with) phoned me this afternoon. They are currently training a local volunteer who will be assigned to me shortly. Even a quick chat on the phone with someone who'd had a baby with heart problems made me feel a little better. She told me that Eliana will more than likely be given a dummy so that she doesn't lose her suck reflex because of the tube feeding and if I keep expressing I should be able to give breastfeeding a go in a few weeks. I don't imagine it will be a walk in the park though.

Natalieand · 30/09/2013 16:38

Wonder how favellio is getting on x

HeffalumpTheFlump · 30/09/2013 16:40

Congratulations cherry!! X

MrsHoratioNelson · 30/09/2013 16:48

Congratulations Cherry and happy birthday to Frederick - great name and a good weight. I expect he's got a lusty pair of lungs on him!

I wonder how favellio is getting on.

My DM just popped in and was remarkably relaxed and helpful telling me about when she had me - apparently I was a good, fast feeder, but as a result she had a lot of supply and she warned me not to think too mich about getting a bra on. As I'm already at 34G, I'm a bit Shock about that.

She did ask "when do you want me?" As in when should she come and help, but I was very diplomatic and said that we would just have to wait and see. To be fair to her, when my DSis had her DS, she did go and actually help with helpful stuff like dinner and the washing rather than "helping" by cuddling the baby all the time. I'm just trying to be even handed so that MIL doesn't get the hump...

Congrats cherry delighted for you

gt I was so sore last time. I used to fill the shower base with water and lavender drops and then got dh to clean me down below with warm water and tea tree. I pretended to mw everything was ok as I'm a prude! But when I asked dh to look he said it was very caked with blood and swollen. Was such a relief when he bathed it for me.....love is !! Hope it eases for you soon.

mon glad you are getting some support. Hugs and keeping everything crossed for Eliana

Off to order a gro swaddle! Ds1 was very refluxy but it might work with this LO (if he ever comes out!)
