Good luck cherry. Try not to worry too much.

Hope things are progressing nicely for you by now favello

OrangeBlossom2 · 30/09/2013 07:26

SC at 37+1 and starting final week of work. Possibly ever shhh but don't tell them that!

Happy due date jelly. I imagine that is a weird day. And a huge anti climax after the long count down if you are the 95% of people who don't have their baby on the day. Are Chou doing anything to keep yourself occupied today?

Falcon you have been through a tough pregnancy. I hope the dr is helpful and supportive. Well done for being brave about going to see them quickly. So glad you are still able to enjoy cuddles with Willow.

Good luck today cherry and favellio I hope is the day for you too!

I didn't sleep too badly last night yay! Good solid chunks of sleep between wees. Except a car alarm went off for about an hour and it sounded weird and like it was in the house so I panicked it was our carbon monoxide alarm then the baby went loopy with all my adrenaline for a while.

Natalieand · 30/09/2013 07:34

SC @ 38+0 - first sweep at 10.30 this morning

Glad you are seeking the help u need falcon I hope u have a nice supportive GP xx

cherry and favellio good luck today!!! More birth announcements how exciting

Hope those that are due/overdue get some much needed action today to get those babies evicted. Xx

doobeedee · 30/09/2013 07:41

Due date today and no signs. Had a better sleep though as made OH wear one of those nose strips to stop him snoring and it worked!

pinkbuttons · 30/09/2013 07:47

Morning ladies have just caught up but not sure hiw many name checks I can remember...

Hope things are progressing well for you favellio and your getting the active labour you wanted.
Good Luck today cherry
and hope sweep goes well and kicks things off now mw is back on duty nat

jelly with regards to your back, if also recommend alternating ice and heat, trying to stay mobile to stop muscles spasming and either getting on all fours or leaning over birth ball if you have one . Would definitely be worth a talk to physio of can get one although is limited amount they can do at this stage of pregnancy, can give more detailed advice depending on what assessment finds though. fingers crossed it gets better quickly for you x

falcon Im so sorry to hear your still having such a hard time but am glad your DH is being supportive and youve made a drs appt x

tarlia also just wanted to send you a hug. So sorry your BP still isnt behaving. really hope someone is able to give you a definitive answer today as seems mad your getting such conflicting advice. x

umlauf sorry to hear Bertie is being a monkey with feeding. Just to add to the list of people who have had similar experience he sounds very like my DS who just wasnt interested. I expressed whatever I could and used to offer him the boob after so I was much calmer because I knew he was getting something we also had to use a syringe. and one midwife advised us to put little finger to top of babys mouth to try and get him to practice sucking. it worked for us although and eventually was able to feed but I just hope whatever you decide that you and Bertie are less stressed soon. My DS was also a bit jaundice so very sleepy which didnt help with feeding either. hope all is better today x

pseudo also hope you get answers today with regards to BP.

Sorry to everyone ive missed but sending out Brew to all who are struggling.

SC here 39+2 but feeling better than last week thank goodness.

AnythingNotEverything · 30/09/2013 08:08

All the best to cherry and favellio today!

Clapham - you're right! My bloody show has come to nothing, but I stupidly let slip to my mum that I'd had it and she is now convinced baby is coming any day. Just the pressure I needed!

SC at 37+5 and heading into hospital for a growth scan today. A scan at 31 weeks picked up polyhydramnios and my bump growth is starting to accelerate. It'll be interesting to get an estimate of baby's size, but if he/she looks very big they might start to talk about induction apparently. Fingers crossed baby is developing normally - nothing to suggest he/she isn't, but it's nice to have the chance to check.

I've forgotten who else I came on to name check ... Um ... Oh, Falcon - I'm glad you're getting some support. It's really good you've recognised the signs early.

BowlFullofJelly · 30/09/2013 08:12

It's my due date today, so now officially sfw! I have midwife later and she will give me a sweep if favourable, but I have a feeling i won't be! Sending labouring vibes to jelly, doobee and anyone else due today!

Have caught up, but forgotten most of what i have read!

Good luck today cherry, hope you get in promptly and are snuggling baby soon!

pseudo hang on in there, only one week to go right?

Glad you are getting help falcon, we are all here to support as well x

fav hope things sped up for you overnight and you are now having a well deserved rest!

umlauf, i am so sorry you and bertie are struggling so much with feeding. You've had some great advice, so nothing to add other than ignore all of the judgemental people. I think lots of people, myself included, struggle, and therefore think it will work if everyonme perseveres. This isnt the case, and honestly in the grand scheme of raising a child how you feed them as a baby is such a tiny part, its not worth upsetting yourself over - big hugs x

Sorry for everyone i have missed - hope everyone has a nice day

Mnippy · 30/09/2013 08:29

Good luck fav and cherry!

Falcon - hugs and glad you are seeing your doctor.

My poor MIL is being rather sweet, worrying about me all the time, but I'm a hormonal biatch and she can't help but rub me up the wrong way whatever she says in texts/emails. I'm hoping the rush of motherly loving hormones at birth will help me see her in a friendlier light!

ananikifo · 30/09/2013 08:59

Good luck fav and cherry!

falcon I'm so sorry to hear you're not well. I really hope you have a GP who can support you through this. I'm sending you lots of hugs.

JellyCurls · 30/09/2013 09:11

Ok so sitting here bubbling like a loon cause my friend had her baby on my due date, she was due for an induction today but went naturally. God am such a bitch for being jealous! But this happened in my last pregnancy too - people should not be allowed to have babies on my due date

Slippysnow · 30/09/2013 09:36

jelly I feel for you. It will come soon I'm sure, also if I have the right jelly this time my physio reccomended finding a point of your back where it feels tender and leaning against a wall with a tennis ball pushing all the pressure on to the spot. It's like a pressure point thing.

I know this sounds pathetic, but we have lots of people's birthdays in October and would love for our baby to have his own one. I have a strong feeling this won't be happening- ah well I suppose there are bigger things in life

MotherOfNations · 30/09/2013 09:39

I dreamt that I'd been on a fetal heart monitor all night and was told that Eliana's heart was failing. I woke up to find that I'd leaked colostrum all over the bed. I've never leaked before. All this worry is having a strange effect on my body.
The dc are so excited about Thursday and we get excited with them until we remember what we're facing. I don't even know if they'll get to see her.
MIL is coming the day before my c-section nd is worried she might not get to see her so I suggested she come with us on Thursday morning and wait outside theatre but now I've said it I'm not sure it'll be allowed and not sure it's what I want if I'm going to have a limited time with my baby before she's transferred.

Haylebop12 · 30/09/2013 09:43

good luck today cherry will e thinking of you.

Hope things are progressing for you favellio hopefully you'll be enjoying your little bundle very soon.

Just a quick one for me as on way to hospital, hoping Isaac has been moved from incubator to cot today. He fed fom me yesterday, albeit with a nipple Sheild but he managed it although he's so sleepy. Oh and I got two big open eyes for the first time Grin (my children don't tend to open they're eyes for a long time after birth!!)

roofio87 · 30/09/2013 09:57

Brief skype chat with my 3 1/2 yo nephew just went

nephew: are we still waiting for the baby to pop out of your tummy?
me: yes, we're still waiting!!!
nephew: you should have a little ejector button on your tummy that you press and he would just pop right out now!!

I think the kid might be on to something. dragon's den anyone?!?!Grin

SeriousStuff · 30/09/2013 09:58

Good luck Cherry and Favellio!

thethreeblondies · 30/09/2013 10:04

Love it roofio it's great what kids come out with! Had a friends little boys third bday party on Saturday and he asks me "you have a baby in your big tummy?" so I say "yes" he then asks "why?" Ummmmm because that's where babies grow?! Very difficult one to answer lol! Smile

Pinkforboys · 30/09/2013 10:09

MoN I want to give you a big hug but computer's in the way. Understandable that you'll have anxiety dreams given what you're going through. It's very good of you to let your MiL be there, hopefully she'll be happy just to see Eliana in your arms and not get in the way. You're all going through a horribly emotional time with so much unknown and out of your hands. The leaking is perfectly normal, just a good reminder of how prepared your body is for Eliana Thanks

Flyer747 · 30/09/2013 10:17

Lots of ThanksThanksThanksThanks for you MoN and a big flyer hug. I too hope and pray and have my fx that when little Eliana is born her condition is not as serious as they are telling you. We are all here for you xx

Tarlia · 30/09/2013 10:26

Thinking of you mon. I'm in another country so know this wont count, but hayley has said the same; NICU is open to parents siblings and grandparents all the time. I should imagine it'll be the same at yorkhill too.

cherry good luck! fave hope you are progressing well now :)

We've got the nurse visiting us today, so am excited to hear how much my little milk monster has gained. He was 7.5% down when we left hospital and jaundice, but my milk came in the night before we left so flushed that through.

Warlin · 30/09/2013 10:27

favellio and cherry good luck today???enjoy your newborn snuggles soon!

mon keeping everything crossed for Thursday for you.

falcon sorry you're having Pnd symptoms but good that you gave recognised it early and can get some support.

39+5 and sc...feel like thus baby us never coming though dh is really busy in work until wed so don't mind until then. My sister is home tmw for a few days and we will birth be gutted if she goes back and no baby.

Anyone else really emotional? I can't be bothered talking to anyone these days. Struggling to get the dog walked and dealing with ds's tantrums as I'm so tired and uncomfortable. Hate myself for being stroppy!

Tarlia · 30/09/2013 10:28

Oh, I've a recommendation for those that want to swaddle. Gro bag swaddles are fab! Was given two by a friend and only wish I'd known about them for DS1. You can swaddle over or under arms - we do one in one out as this guy struggles till he has his right out.

favellio · 30/09/2013 10:32

no baby yet but was 7cm dilated at 8.30am. Ended up having to have an epidural because there was problems monitoring my contractions, so they had to whack up the drip to the highest setting, resulting in instant very strong and painful contractions, that were too close together. epidurals are amazing, I feel so relaxed now, compared to the sobbing mess I was a few hours ago!!

Natalieand · 30/09/2013 10:33

favellio if u were 7cm two hours ago that means you are our LIT :-) lol

Haylebop12 · 30/09/2013 10:46

mon at my hospital dh and I, and dd can visit 24/7, grandparents are set times although they are fairly lenient.

Isaac is still in an incubator but he's dressed! Gone to feeding every two hours so I'm here to feed him myself ( or try to at 11:30) just waiting for docs to come round.

Come on favellio!!!

Tarlia · 30/09/2013 10:51

hayley that's fantastic news! Go Isaac! Good luck for 11:30 Flowers
