Still crippled after my bath but whoever suggested physios good shout. I will call maternity Physio tomorrow, off to bed now - night night x

chickieno1 · 29/09/2013 20:52

Xpost s tarlia

Scar is hard cos fibrous tissue is starting to get laid down. Keep taking paracetamol. Should start to improve now. Are the meds not working for your BP? Were you on labetalol before or something else(sorry cant remember)? They might need to check you out a bit tomorrow. Did they do your bloods and urine when you were seen on gynae ward??,really really hope things settle for you soon xx

Tarlia · 29/09/2013 20:53

Wow,I cross posted with loads!

orange are they the cotton ones? I've some from DS1 which are still perfect. I'd def take them back to mothercare! 21 big bars of chocolate? How on earth did you use them all? How many did you baby eat?

chickie how are you? Is you CS soon?

fave have they kept you all day without progress :/ I hope they gave you a bed/comfy reclining chair!?

Natalieand · 29/09/2013 20:56

Sorry to hear your having a hard time still tarlia I hope your own GP can find u some relief for some of your problems tommorow. Xxx p.s what did u decide to name baby tarlia?

Jeeese u poor lot seem to have nightmare in laws. I absolutely despise dh's parents but tbh he isn't fond of them either but his grandparents have raised him and I have a reasonable relationship with them so I guess I should count myself lucky.

When I go upstairs and put the camera in my hospital bag
I can officially Zip it up and say my bag is fully packed!
Sweep tommorow morning at 10.30 at exactly 38 weeks, then I'm gunna walk to pick dd up from pre schoolpractically unheard of Indian for dinner tommorow and perhaps dtd. My midwife is officially back on duty as of 9am tommorow so operation baby eviction can start

Hope those in pain and feeling under the weather are a little better this evening xx Flowers to u all x

favellio hope u manage to be sent home tonight if no real progression so u can have a good nights sleep in your own bed before u start again tommorow x.

Does anyone else get baby movements so low down and really really sharp like the baby is stretching and it basically makes u jump from your seat ?

ananikifo · 29/09/2013 20:56

It's been a few days, so I apologise to anyone I'm missing...

Congrats, littleducks!

Good luck, favellio!

umlauf I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with feeding. I have nothing to suggest but I hope it gets better for you, whether that means using breast or bottle. Feeding choices (or lack thereof) have nothing to do with being a "chav" or not. I'm sorry people have been so judgemental.

orange I think it was you who asked about perineal massage. I've been doing it for a week and I hate every minute of it. It's hard to reach and very uncomfortable. I wonder if it would be easier in or after a bath? I don't have a bath so I can't test that out.

My mom said something nice to me that I think should apply to all of us waiting at the back of the bus: enjoy this time when you still have baby all to yourself inside you. After you give birth you have to share him/her with other people but for now we have them all to ourselves.

We've managed to book a baptism for the time my parents will be visiting us in November. This means we have to scramble to book a venue for the reception but my main concern is knitting a christening shawl in time! I have it in my head that my baby should have a light, lacy white blanket like Prince George has.

I'm thinking this or this or this.

Of course when you have a to do list as long as your arm the thing to do is take on a new project that will take up tons of your time and be much less practical than the other things on your list!

Natalieand · 29/09/2013 20:56

P.s I have cellular blankets from kiddicare and they have washed nicely xx

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2013 20:57

MrsH - yes I think I've often mistaken Braxton hicks for baby's bum shuffles :o

Tarlia - I'm sorry your BP is still all over the place :( I really hope you can manage to find a competent medical professional who can sort this for you ASAP x

Jelly - sorry you're injured :(

Good luck Favellio!

Umlauf, as ever wishing you the best with whatever you decide to do. There are 2 types of tongue tie - anterior (forked/heart shaped tongue) and posterior (much harder to diagnose, often more evident through BF problems/effect on mother than through physical sign on the tongue). Posterior is often missed (ds's was).

Tarlia · 29/09/2013 20:59

Haha I must be a slow typer :D

chickie phew, that's what I thought, thank you. I was on methyldopla (sp) before but that takes two weeks to work. I was totally weened off on Wednesday. They did urine, I was +1 but no bloods which I think may be needed as I've kidney pain too :/ Dr said I 'only' had a headache and flashy lights sometimes so she wasn't worried - I only had this and ++ when my placenta ruptured.. my Bp had even been low that day (last reading had been 30 min before or in the 80s).

HeffalumpTheFlump · 29/09/2013 21:00

Mrsh - my bh are more painful than the baby stretching, but I get what you mean. I'm getting a lot of pain in my ribs from baby though and hate it when it spreads round to my back :(

Totally fed up tonight at 38 weeks exactly (SC). Cant find any position that's comfortable. If I stand up its like she's going to split the front of my stomach open. If I sit down she grinds on my cervix and if I lie down my back goes into spasm. Combine this with lots of bh plus the odd period pain and you have one pissed off heffa. :(

Good luck favellio btw!

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2013 21:00

Thanks everyone for your comments re facebook etc! DP and I haven't mentioned it (I've been quite poorly today with a resurgence of my cold...) - he's been great and had taken DS out all day. I'll let it go for now....

Nat, some of my movements almost feel like they are in my groin - impossible!

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/09/2013 21:04

Tarlia they are deep wedding cake style ones (bit of a mission getting into the tin!) and needed 400g chocolate in each cake, 350g for the buttercream filling and coating on each, 500g in the pouring ganacheo cost them afterwards. I didn't actually eat any! DH is munching the one spare bar which was free on 3 for 2.

Off for a bath now. I have bought some lavender oil and clary sage. Anyone used them? I think I will wait another week or two.

Hmm yes they are just the plain cotton ones. I have sent a complaint to mothercare online. I don't have the receipt anymore but will see what they say.

chickieno1 · 29/09/2013 21:06

tarlia that doesn't sound very good or thorough of the doc who saw you on gynae ward!! Ring your gp ASAP in the morning or if not happy with BP ring hospital again?? Not god enough :(
How are your two gorgeous ds s doing? Hope you're getting some cuddle time?

Hope feel better tomorrow pseudo

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2013 21:06

Tarlia - that's really quick to take you off meds completely! Last time I was on labetalol for 8 weeks after (had been on methyldopa before). I'd definitely demand answers.

Tarlia · 29/09/2013 21:06

nat good luck tomorrow fx! Baby Tarlia is still just 'baby' - we have 6 months.. DS was 'peapod' for 5 weeks..

ani so true! Enjoy!

badger how are you? How's the Bp today? Thank you! Hopefully I will be able to speak with my own doctor tomorrow as I have a good relationship with her, so won't just be another face with numbers.

chickieno1 · 29/09/2013 21:06

Good enough

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/09/2013 21:07

Ana those shawls are pretty. I don't have the knitting skills for anything that detailed but might buy something similar.

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/09/2013 21:09

That should have been pouring ganache to coat them afterwards.

Natalieand · 29/09/2013 21:10

6 months tarlia Shock how comes u get so long too name a baby where u are? saying that, at this rate I'm gunna need 6 months lol

MrsO27 · 29/09/2013 21:12

ananikifo That's sweet what your mum said. I smiled when I read that and baby kicked. Now all teary because I feel like we had some kind of connection for a moment (refuse to believe it was just coincidence!).

favellio · 29/09/2013 21:12

no going home for me Sad starting the drip soon but have had a private room for the duration which is good Smile

MrsHoratioNelson · 29/09/2013 21:13

Nat and Pseudo baby movements making me leap out of my seat as we speak - seriously feels like the baby is pressing feet and bum against top of my bump and headbutbits way out of my cervix Shock

Not to mention the fact that I have been for a pee every 5 minutes this evening and baby still pressing on my bladder...

MIL on the phone again... This time asking DH in depth questions about when I see the MW next, why that isn't until after my EDD and who my Dr is, whether its a man or a woman, is he any good "for that sort of thing" (what, like medicine Grin) and whether DH has the same Dr. Why, why does she want or feel the need to know this stuff? DH not exactly deflecting her intrusive personal questions either Hmm.

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2013 21:15

Tarlia - BP is.... interesting. So I've been told not to worry at home unless 150/100. So of course this weekend it's varied between 140/100 and 150/90 and various combinations in between! I'm on 200mg labetalol 3 times a day which is quite a lot I think so dread to think what it'd be without it!
Got monitoring at 9am tomorrow so I'll show them the readings.
I'm having a hard time equating their attitude to me last time (sweep and induction at 38 weeks) with meds, and this time, which is hang on in there until c section next Monday. It's just making me a bit uneasy.
Am I right in thinking you had an abruption you poor thing? I do worry about that when I get a nice low reading....

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2013 21:17

Favellio - are they not happy with the trace? It's for the best, wishing you all the best x

MrsH I get exactly the same! Last night it was also like she was doing star jumps....

Tarlia · 29/09/2013 21:17

orange sound like chocoholic heaven! Hope they are enjoyed.

badger you just reminded me about DH, sorry Flowers. Though glad he has been useful today. Apparently a week is standard practice if Bp is lowering, which mine seemed to be :/

chickie going to call first thing. DS1 is very cuddly with dad, but rejecting me, sob. DS2 is still very sleepy, but waking himself every 3/3.5 hours for a feed. He is very content, hardly cries but poops for both the UK and Denmark! I think he has around 15 changes a day :O

MrsHoratioNelson · 29/09/2013 21:18

orange it shouldn't matter that you don't have the receipt if they are faulty. But if you have a bank statement showing the purchase that would help.
