Really glad you've got a day's mat leave, Ruby
Do get some rest, too!

Haylebop12 · 20/09/2013 07:45

Just quickly nipping on to say...

Congratulations to tarlia I hope he's with you very soon and...

To falcon well done, that's a good weight for baby willow.

Hope your both taking it easy. Thanks

textbook · 20/09/2013 07:49

Congratulations Falcon & Tarlia ThanksThanksThanks

Two babies!! So exciting!!

SC at 38 weeks exactly. I have my pre-clerking today for CS on Tuesday, so not long for me now Shock Actually feeling quite anxious about the steroid jab, especially if movement is reduced after. Dd was born by EMCS after reduced movement and it was a bit touch and go if she would be ok, so I am incredibly paranoid if I don't feel this one moving a lot. Hopefully I can have daily monitoring, although I'll have to take out a second mortgage to cover the hospital parking charges...

favellio · 20/09/2013 07:52

Wow, the first night in ages that I sleep through and I wake up to 2 pieces for baby news!!!!
Welcome to the world baby Tarlia and Willow! ThanksEnvyWine Xxx

Oddlife · 20/09/2013 07:52

Congratulations to Tarlia and Falcon. Can't wait to hear all about your amazing babies, You must be feeling exhilarated and exhausted.

Thanks Mr Falcon for letting us know.

MrsHoratioNelson · 20/09/2013 07:56

Yay more babies :)

Congratulations Tarlia and Falcon. Does Tarlia Junior have a name yet. And [wince] at 9lb 13 Shock

ananikifo · 20/09/2013 07:57

Congratulations to tarlia and falcon! I'm so happy you both have your babies!

Tarlia I'm sorry it sounds like you had a difficult time but I hope it gets better now.

Falcon I bet you're ecstatic to have Willow in your arms now!

Oddlife · 20/09/2013 08:06

textbook - I hadn't any idea about the steroid shots so was a bit stunned when consultant organised them immediately on Monday. Normally I would have researched something like that way before hand....

To be fair no-one at hospital considered them to be connected to my reduced movements, so prob a coincidence in my case. But my consultant is concerned about age and placenta so I thought it was worth getting checked out and all is well now. I also have some extra monitoring between now and csection and can continue to self refer as nec.

If you are worried in the slightest just get down to your unit - this close to birth and they really monitor you carefully. Know what you mean though about car parking though....
Good luck and wiggle toes worked for me too - just a quick sting and all done.

Soupqueen · 20/09/2013 08:06

Congratulations tarlia and falcon! Maybe there is something to the full moon after all.

I've bought some plain white bundlers from John Lewis, if I need more will go to M&S if they're cheaper!

SC at 36+4

Pinkforboys · 20/09/2013 08:14

Ah, lovely news, congratulations Tarlia and Falcon (and thank you for sparing us the gory details til later...!)
Hope you all have a cosy day with your OHs and new additions in hospital xxx Thanks

HotSoupDumpling · 20/09/2013 08:17

Congrats, Falcon family and Tarlia family!!

Hope you are both doing as well as possible in the circumstances. Tarlia, if it makes you feel better to tell us, don't feel you need to hold back on your birth story because you don't want to scare us. We're all just glad it ended with you and your baby being okay!

BowlFullofJelly · 20/09/2013 08:18

Woohoo, congrats tarlia and falcon, so pleased for you both after having really been through the mill! Hope you both have a lovely day with your little ones xx

Slippysnow · 20/09/2013 08:35

Brilliant news Tarlia and Falcon. :)

PseudoBadger · 20/09/2013 08:43

Hmmm I had my second steroid yesterday and am yet to feel movement this morning :( I'm just having breakfast and cold orange juice to get her going otherwise I'll be back down the hospital for the 4th day in a bloody row I guess :(

roofio87 · 20/09/2013 08:44

I second that about going in if worried about movements. I got a massive talking to about it at hospital on wednesday. mw was very insistent that I go in if im worried in the slightest even if I think im just being paranoid now that I'm a little more concerned about baby. it was nice to know how serious they take it.
sc here 38 weeks. getting very jealous of those with babies already and those with cs and inductions coming up. I'm happy to be able to let nature take its course I just wish it would bloody hurry up!!!

roxvox · 20/09/2013 08:45

Woohoo! Congratulations Falcon and Tarlia! Such lovely news to wake up to xx

FeministInTraining · 20/09/2013 09:00

Congratulations to Tarlia and Falcon and both of your families. Sorry that you both had such a difficult time getting to this point but I'm sure it's more than worth it and I hope baby Tarlia is back with his mummy soon xx

MrsO27 · 20/09/2013 09:10

Congrats tarlia and falcon. Happy news! There maybe is something in the full moon thing! I'll have a Jaffa cake in your little ones' honour Grin x
(hope people remember the full moon Jaffa cake tv advert and don't just think I'm a weirdo!)

cazboldy · 20/09/2013 09:12

2 babies!!! Grin

well done Falcon and Tarlia!

i hope that my baby is about 4 weeks old before he/she reaches that weight though!!!!! (based on my others)

Off to Bil's wedding reception tonight, and not really looking forward to it.

Need to go and bath the horse as a lady is coming to see her later, and she is currently mud coloured rather than grey (helpfully!)

SC 37 +4 - with a very high up baby that is making me quite uncomfy!

Sparkeleigh · 20/09/2013 09:12

Yay! Congratulations Tarlia and Falcon and MrFalcon! What lovely news and so glad they've arrived after keeping you waiting in suspense! FlowersCake Tarlia I'm glad you're both ok after your emcs and I hope you're back together today!

funkky - I've seen a lot of threads in the pregnancy section asking about sweeps and so many people said they were much more painful than giving birth so I wouldn't panic. But on the other hand, the pain relief is there if you need it so don't worry too much - it's you giving birth so you do what you need to at the time, no-one gives a medal for not using pain relief!

GTbaby oh, that is a bit worrying! Are there any 24hr taxi firms near you?

Pseudo hope the oj gets her moving!

roofio87 · 20/09/2013 09:13

mrso I thought you were just using any excuse to eat a jaffa cake at 9am!!Wink

JellyCurls · 20/09/2013 09:15

Don't remember that advert at all but more than happy to have a celebratory Jaffa cake Grin

Was reading that harvest moon is full for three days so plenty of time for it to work its labour inducing magic. Well I am sure I read that, maybe I will go do a google check now.

Getting very fed up of comments at school drop off about "still being pregnant" " how huge are you" " still here?" Isn't it obvious I am still bloody pregnant

xuntitledx · 20/09/2013 09:23

Two more babies, yay!

Congratulations guys - hope you get lots of rest now xx

MrsO27 · 20/09/2013 09:24

Haha, it was a few years ago that the advert was on. It was quite famous at the time. Will probably be on you tube; but you're right, any excuse for a Jaffa cake, and what a lovely excuse it is! Jaffa cakes all round on the October bus Biscuit

MotherOfNations · 20/09/2013 09:24

Many congratulations to Tarlia and the Falcons though I'm now blaming you Falcon for me waking up in the night and when I looked at the time on my phone it was 2.31am. Shock
On my way to last antenatal appointment of the pregnancy and then at lunch time a lovely woman who I met through mumsnet is coming over with soup and cake.
