There was a poor woman on the antenatal ward yesterday who was having an internal being a bit bullied by the doctors and had to have gas and air as she was so scared.

I've just taken my first Orange Rennie after eating too much rich food...dp is actually asleep before me, something strange is happening tonight....

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 23:09

Hope it works!

I have these bras for night time - really comfy and means you can wear pads.

falcon and Tarkiahope labour and inductions are going ok... Your gorgeous babies are so close now.

My c-section is booked for 3rd October and because I will be a couple of days short of 39 weeks I had to have steroid shots on Monday. They didn't hurt but have had reduced movements ever since so ended up being monitored everyday this week. Strangely they dont think there is a connection but seems odd coincidence to me....

baby back to normal now but hospital and midwives have been fantastic - so feel reassured for when the big day comes.

Night visits to Triage has made me get my bag packed just in case.... So feel a bit more focused - DH reminded me we have just 13 days left! But physically feel ready for her to come out as so uncomfortable. But guess she is better to continue cooking for a while yet.

Thinking of you all as our bodies are stretched, poked and prodded on this last leg.

GTbaby · 20/09/2013 00:17

Taken me like two hours to catch up on two days!
So random comments in to order.
I wouldn't buy to many nursing bras/ any clothes until you are bf.
I bought two last time and will use those until I know I can bf. I bought two sleep bf bras last time. But that was more because my boobs were so sore at night.

Mon Shock at mil comment re brother.

Flyer was also Shock at midwives and the hubby taking Pics of babies head.
My dh didn't even want to look down there during my birth let alone take pics.
Those bundlers seem great. Midnight buttoning up is a pain.

Ruby that sucks about bile acid levels going up. Mine are still low. Itching is on and off. So doubt ill be induced now.

Falcon fx

Screaming during internals... That was me last time. On a ward full of ladies plus partners. Was mortified. I would say see how it goes. You may consider gas n air at the time. You may not need anything more then that.

The internals are very different from contractions tho. I hated the smear test aswell.

My birth.
I was two weeks early and jaundice.
Was put in icu. Mum didn't speak English and didn't see me after they took me away as she couldn't ask where I was. She eventually found someone who showed her.
I was bf for 2years. Which really made me proud of my mum as with a early birth, not having alot of contact with me being in icu for a while would have made it so hard at a time were they promoted ff rather then bf.

I know I'll post now and then think oh I forgot to mention xyz lol

Oh my moan for the day.
Dh put car up for sale. New car deposit is being paid on Sunday. But don't know when we will actually get it.
Our Car for sale, guy calls from Glasgow is flying down tomorrow to buy and pick up our car.
We don't know when new car will be available. We won't have a car! I'm 38+ weeks Angry

We have access to fil car. But they go out everyday for a few hours and don't keep a Mobil phone. So what are we meant to do in an emergency!

Mega post. Will end now

PseudoBadger · 20/09/2013 02:54

DS has a cold. Oh joy. So he's next to me propped up for a cough bloody appeared from nowhere and i'm propped up on 20 pillows so that my stomach contents don't spontaneously join us in the bed.... DP has gone to ds's floor.

Poor you and your ds pseudo. Hope you're ok with plan of action re CS date. Fingers crossed it all works out and you forget all about reflux/heartburn and carpal tunnel once you have your little one safe with you.

mon did you get your tumble drier? And whose fault did ex mil think it was Confused

legally well done on your bf and multitasking skills!

orange do you have low BP?? Maybe you need to up your fluid intake?

Thinking of you falcon

pink I love Cillian Murphy! Walked past him in Dublin once, saw his eyes thought to myself I know that guy and said hi as I walked past! He said hi back and thin secs later I twigged who he was Grin

I think bundlers are a good idea too

Ok sorry forgot the rest.....

Tarlia · 20/09/2013 04:45

Just wanted to let those not on Facebook know (sorry it was quicker and posted a photo) that baby Tarlia arrived by emCS tonight - needless to say, my awful pregnancy was followed by an epic birth :(. I would like to share my story, but I will save it until we've all had our babies. We are both fine, but he is spending the night on neonatal as he has some fluid on his lungs due to not getting the good old vaginal squeeze, but he is perfect otherwise. He is being spoilt with a cute hat and a cuddly octopus up there, so is hopefully sleeping it off all cosy.

I'm sorry I'm not caught up, but not managed a wink of sleep yet and cannot concentrate.

Love to you all Flowers

TheFalconsmistress · 20/09/2013 05:04

Morning all, this is Falcon's DH! Just a flying visit to say that baby Willow made her appearance at 2:31am! Falcon and baby are both fine and are being managed well. She came out a very healthy 9lb 13oz!

Falcon will update you further once she is home but she said she is sorry she could not announce it herself but didnt think it fair you all didn't know.

Thanks,
TheFalconsDH ;)
