Hello, can I join in to.

BFP yesterday after just over a year of trying.
I have worked it out that I'm 4 weeks so EDD 30th May.

Not feeling any different yet.

snoozysleeper · 23/09/2013 15:37

Hi loud congratulations on your pregnancy Smile and welcome!!

All pregnancies are different so try not to worry too much about symptoms .. I'm sure they'll develop soon enough

NannyPlumForPM · 23/09/2013 16:24

boogles and bunny thanks for your concern but what will be will be!! I think it is more positive if I'm prepared, but there's no point in worrying because I didn't even know dd had it and she's absolutely fine (well blind in one eye but currently careering round the living room on a hobby unicorn she has named puzzley Hmm)

I think it's best to live and let live! The puke I could do without though- am a bit worried about twins! Anyone else had that concern yet? How would I deal with two!?? At once?! My cousin has 4 yr old twins so they are obviously in the family!

coffee that sound awful! Even Harry potter never had a wand up his woohoo! (note to self, be able to confidently use the word 'vagina' by 7.5 months)

Hope you all had a good day!

Nanny And they gave me a pillowcase to cover myself with!!

Little dissapointed that didn't see any heartbeat, but they put me at around 5 weeks, so I guess that's normal.

Welcome wispa. spirael, loud and anyone else I've missed.

NannyPlumForPM · 23/09/2013 16:43

A PILLOWCASE?! Ah the joys of the nhs! Telling my manager went quite well-
She just asked me to print out the policy and asked me to tell other staff in case someone gets aggressive and I'm in the way (I work in mental health)

NannyPlum, twins runs in my family. My mum never had morning sickness, and she had single pregnancies each time, whereas I've had morning sickness quite bad.... not sure how we'll cope if it's two, I'm still only just coming round to the idea that one's got to come out of my hooha (I will never be comfortable saying 'vagina' Hmm )

wm3010 · 23/09/2013 16:52

Hi everyone, I gave in and told my boss today. I was really nervous about it as I know it will be a major hassle but he is lovely so was very congratulatory. It's actually a big weight off my mind, I hadn't realised how stressed I was about the fact I wasn't getting nearly as much done as normal so at least now they know they can make allowances a little bit (hopefully).

Hope you are all coping with the trials and tribulations!

NannyPlumForPM · 23/09/2013 16:52

Haha I thought that until I had my first an actually when something is verociously trying to climb out of your hooha you actually become quite comfortable with the word!! Grin

I was in uni when I fell pg with dd and it was very well recieved by my friends etc! And the baby shower was AWESOME!!

moominleigh94 · 23/09/2013 16:55

The two friends who know seem very excited about it Grin one's already had to be stopped from buying something for the baby Grin

We're basically just going to let everyone else find out as it comes... whether it slips into conversation or they notice me getting bigger or whatever Grin

NannyPlumForPM · 23/09/2013 17:01

That's brill I'm really getting excited now a couple more people know!

OP posts:
CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 17:03

We've told parents on both sides and my best friend, who is so excited, she emails me every day with something like..'how are you doing mummy?' Hmm

Cupcake1985 · 23/09/2013 17:21

Well I just called the doctors who said they'll pass the form to the midwife who will call. Felt a little silly saying the date of my last period was the 21 August like I was a super keen bean! Plus feeling no symptoms so feel like a fraud! Well still sore boobs and mild cramps....
I know it's early but starting to list all the things we want/need and costs to prepare. Exciting :)

CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 17:27

I just have sore boobs and mild cramps too cupcake. It seems having little symptoms is as common as having lots.

I've had a peek into cotbeds! Eeeek!

thistlelicker · 23/09/2013 17:28

Hello !!! Very happy thistle here!!!! Bean is lovely and sticky and is 7+5
Not 7+ 2 like I thought!!!! Have to see consultant tomorrow and I think they are arranging a scan and my booking!!!

bushprincess · 23/09/2013 17:31

welcome loud!

thistlelicker · 23/09/2013 17:34

I'm very lucky - this is my 3rd scan due to previous miscarriages and bleeding !!

CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 17:37

Congratulations thistle!!! Woop woop.

bushprincess it must be so hard for you with all this news about the terrorist attack in Kenya. I hope all your friends and family are okay.

Cupcake1985 · 23/09/2013 17:39

Have you seen this coffee? Saw it in the independents top 10 baby things after an online google. First thing I saw and I really want it instead of a Moses basket, think the drop down side is really good. I will slow myself down though now..... Getting carried away!

I am dreading telling work, there are two people pregnant at the moment and I don't think it will go down very well.

Me and Dp are keeping to ourselves like some special secret for a good few weeks yet.

I already have a 4 year old DD and have been hoping for another one for a year, so it feels very exciting. I don't think I will need to buy much as have kept alot.

It's lovely to have somewhere to share the news and how I am feeling.

CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 18:03

Cupcake, that looks so cute!!! I am sucker for anything organic as well.

How long are you lot planning to / have kept the tots in you room?

Vikks · 23/09/2013 18:04

Welcome new Maybies Mummies!

thistle Congratulations, wonderful news.

I'm hoping for the same....second scan tomorrow at 9:30! FX

bushprincess · 23/09/2013 18:06

thanks all. I'm so lucky that none of my friends are hurt, just an overwhelming feeling of 'that could have been any one of us in there'. Think I need to stop listening and watching all the coverage!

Am going to look at the top 10 baby things to buy instead!

good luck telling work loud hope everyone is supportive of you - I'm sure they will be!

moominleigh94 · 23/09/2013 18:09

So pleased for you thistle
