thistle eeeeeek! I'm so happy for you! Vikks I'm in tomorrow at 10am so we'll be seeing our wee beans at about the same time. Bring it on!!! I cannot wait - I just need to see it's wee heart beating. I had a vivid dream it was twins last night...

cupcake it may be early but I bought a moleskin notebook and wrote out the lists last week - so you're not alone! Isabelle Oliver also has 24% off today so I'm contemplating getting one of their stunning dresses to show off my bump ASAP.

coffee we live in a cottage so I think once the wee one is out of the moses basket he/she will have to go into the cot in their own room - but it adjoins ours so I don't think it's too bad.

AliOh · 23/09/2013 19:21

Great news Thistle so pleased for you :)

Welcome to all the new Maybies :)

I'm suffering today with my back :( has anyone else has lower back pain? - I'm in agony!

bouncysmiley · 23/09/2013 19:29

Congratulations thistle and good luck for tomorrow boogie and anyone else with an imminent scan. Welcome also to the new Maybies. Looks like we'll soon have a complete pack.

CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 19:32

I have lower back pain alioh. But then I've had before as well while not pregnant. Much helpI am!

We live in a London townhouse. Going to decorate the smallish (tiny by irish cottage standards boogies. My dh is Irish and I am very jealous of my bro-in-law and wife's huge bungalow that they built from scratch in Connemara.) guestroom as nursery. Will buy a moses and keep baby in our room for a few months though.

Chip agony! The amount of things we go through even before the spawns are born!!

Cupcake1985 · 23/09/2013 19:50

I think the average time in the bedroom is about 6 months? I think my sister moved their daughter a bit ealier. I'll probably do a lot that she did as my neice is ace, eats everything and goes to sleep straight away at night, has done from a toddler (shes now 6) very happy little bundle.

Cupcake1985 · 23/09/2013 19:52

.... Work colleague had their daughter in with them until about 2 though so really personal preference!

Chip86 · 23/09/2013 20:17

Alioh I did hear lower back pain could be kidneys so drink lots of water but im not an expert dont quote me but drinking lots of water not going to any harm

Chip86 · 23/09/2013 20:19

I hope PFJ is ok thinking of you x

Cybercat · 23/09/2013 20:25

I thought the first 6 months was advised. Our spare room is full of my husbands music stuff but I'm hoping beyond hope that we will be moving house before we reach 6 months (but somehow I doubt it).

AliOh · 23/09/2013 20:32

Ooooh, thanks for advice chip had dull ache for a couple of weeks now and thought it might be that so drinking lots of water - this is something else entirely tho, may have pulled a muscle or something, I'm literally hobbling around the house at the mo :(

mumof2aimingfor4 · 23/09/2013 20:33

I let both DD's stay in bed with me (yes I know its not advisable but personal preference) with a cot (minus one side) pushed against bed. Both dd's moved to own room at age 3. But DD2 still wakes up in the night and comes to jump in our bed (in the middle!) Shes now 3years 5 months.

YikesHereWeGo · 23/09/2013 21:11

Great news thistle, what a relief eh?!
We're due date twins!

NannyPlumForPM · 23/09/2013 21:31

I am trying to get dd to settle in her own bed- she's 3 in oct! My personal experience is that by going fr the 'easy option' when dd was small (she would only sleep in our bed or on DP's chest) to get her to sleep has meant that we're suffering now she's older.

She tries to do deals now to avoid going to sleep in her own bed I.e "what if I eat all my tea, and you can give me a cuddle in YOUR bed" me: but your bed is much comfiest and Is a princess bed!! Her: "but your bed is PERFECT, and you are my best friend"

DS was in with us until about 4 months when he got too big for his crib and kept waking himself up! There was no room for a full size cot in our room.

Lots of scans... hope everyone gets good news.

Feeling (and being) very sick here. Good sign and all, but so miserable. I've lost 2kg in a week and a half, problem is my tummy sticks out even more! Going to have to tell work I think, firstly as not coping well with nausea and secondly because I can't hide the bloat/'bump' much longer!

Hope a lot of you are having it easier. Those on no.3 (or more), has sickness been worse each time? My sickness was awful with DS2 (but have been told his anomaly could have influenced this) but seems to be as bad this time which makes me worried the anomaly has happened again :(

8+2 ish

RosesInTheRain · 23/09/2013 21:37

ah we went for the easy option at first NannyPlum too, coslept, the lot- but DS was very keen on a 'big boy bed' and since he's been in that (since about 22mo, he's 3 at xmas) no problems really and he sleeps pretty well. Very lucky I know!

Cybercat · 23/09/2013 21:43

The idea of this little one sharing our bed until he/she is 3 makes me want to cry! I'm a poor sleeper and our double isn't big enough for me to sleep comfortably when it's just the 2 of us and a cat (or 2!).

mumof2aimingfor4 · 23/09/2013 21:47

Roses im on DC3 and am finding nausea worse this time, it comes in waves though. I'm trying to convince myself that it is because im finally carrying a boy, but is most likely because im getting older, so not dealing with it so well!

CoffeeGuzzler · 23/09/2013 21:58

We already share our bed with two spaniels!! Can't count the number of times I wake up in the morning with a muzzle in my armpit or a very long ear spread out on my face.

Had chicken fajita. Struggling with nausea now. Dh said...''oohh...just like in the movies''. Angry

Chip86 · 23/09/2013 22:06

Oh Alioh maybe go get that looked at sounds painfull

I already sleep by the wall as are room so small so baby will go DH side hehehe we are saving like mad really need to move out of our tiny flat

thistlelicker · 23/09/2013 22:15

Thanks ladies!!!:-)) today was my first day back at work after being In hospital !!! Am fooked!!!

RosesInTheRain · 23/09/2013 22:17

yes could be age and tiredness for me too mumof2. Certainly DS was a lot easier a year ago when I was last pg. I flit between wondering if it's a girl, twins, reoccurence of DS2's condition or just worse this time... fingers crossed it ends about 11 weeks like it has before!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 23/09/2013 22:22

Oh jeez please dont bring up the idea of twins roses I childmind and already have 5 children in my house by 8.15am! I havent got the time for two newborns! When do you have your first scan?
