moomin someone WILL see you. They can not turn you away. Call 111 for out of hours doctors or the nhs helpline 0845 46 47 to talk to a nurse.... they will advice you best and then you'll get advice from a professional over the phone. Please call them.

moominleigh94 · 18/09/2013 22:15

Ended up at OOH, called NHS whatsit and as soon as I mentioned I was pregnant they made me an appointment at out of hours. Bronchitis and an infection in the scar so got a prescription for antibiotics and some huge paracetamol to get my temperature down :) thanks for the advice ladies.

ThePFJ · 18/09/2013 22:30

That was quick moomin you must be close! Glad you got seen!!
Jodey I had sharp twinges all through week 4 and 5 - if that helps...

snoozysleeper · 18/09/2013 22:35

Good to hear it's sorted moomin hopefully you'll be feeling more like your normal self in a couple of days!

moominleigh94 · 18/09/2013 22:35

5 minute drive from hosp. Being at uni has its advantages :)

ThePFJ · 18/09/2013 22:39

Very cool!!! See.... just say you are pregnant to get a bucket load of advantages... people will always give you priority and offer you a seat etc.... so don't be afraid to use it.. it only lasts 9 months! Grin

Chip86 · 18/09/2013 22:42

Welcome Shanks and congratulations

Oh Moomin that is great news well done

First day back at work tomorrow so nervouse and feel sick so going to bed now night all

moominleigh94 · 18/09/2013 22:45

Haha it's all a bit weird actually saying it.... on the phone to the NHS people the woman was nearly finished typing everything up and she goes "Is that everything?" and I suddenly remembered; "Ooh, I'm eight weeks pregnant, I forgot, sorry!". Hmm pregnancy brain mush already?

Still petrified of telling lecturers tomorrow. They're such nice people, I'm just so nervous.

moominleigh94 · 18/09/2013 22:46

Best of luck for tomorrow Chip.

ThePFJ · 18/09/2013 22:53

Well best to get it over and done with. Plus - again - you'll get extra help if you need it without question...extended deadlines, time off for scans.... Grin You may as well go into this full on, and embrace it!! I have waited 5 years to be pregnant again, and I am going to enjoy every second of it!! 2 kids will do me, so hopefully this will be my last time... I felt like I wished away pg number 1 with impatience, that isn't going to happen again!!
Good Luck moomin xxx

ThePFJ · 18/09/2013 22:57

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Chip Go get em girl!

moominleigh94 · 18/09/2013 23:07

Thanks ThePFJ - feel like I can go in there with confidence now Grin

I think, at the end of the day, it was unexpected and an accident but I'm happy to be pregnant, and I'm looking forwards to becoming a parent - but I may as well enjoy being pregnant while I can Grin free dental treatment!

ThePFJ · 18/09/2013 23:10

Exactly!! Be the ultimate you in EVERY situation! For me unexpected just means surprise. I LOVE surprises!! Wink

Glad you are going in with a smile on your face... huge hugs.

JessicaRRRabbit · 19/09/2013 08:43

Morning!

Yeay Thistle (?!) hope you don't feel queasy for too long - symptoms are reassuring though! Relieved to see you got sorted too moomin - you must've been feeling really poorly.

6+5 today and managed fruit for breakfast. Queasiness seems to be on its way out not the pickiness though.

JessicaRRRabbit · 19/09/2013 08:44
