I seem to have lost 2lb so far but then I am cutting out alcohol and caffeine!

ThePFJ · 17/09/2013 20:52

A Path!!!!!! I'll go chop down a tree with this Herring.

Chip86 · 17/09/2013 20:54

nanny good plan with the glasses and bless DD so sweet

mumof2aimingfor4 · 17/09/2013 20:55

A woman who was average weight before getting pregnant should gain 25 to 35 pounds after becoming pregnant. Underweight women should gain 28 to 40 pounds. And overweight women may need to gain only 15 to 25 pounds during pregnancy. But personally I think it all depends as each pregnancy is different. I got BIG wth DD1 but only put on 2 stone with 2nd. This time round I've vowed to go back to the gym after my 8 weeks scan (no concerns, private scan as DP wants to shout from the rooftops that he has super swimming sperm still!).
Yes both pregnancies and labours were on the easier side. I put that down to youth and lots of swimming though! Fx this time will be the same!

Chip86 · 17/09/2013 20:56

I will do the ministry of funny walkes down the Path especialy by 30 weeks

LaceyLee · 17/09/2013 20:57

Banana I got a letter with my scan date and booking in appt but changed both to be better for work, no problem. I've only just started a new job (!!) so felt it was necessary! I'm sure 6 weeks is fine to see the GP, mine just asked me questions about if I smoked, my health etc and that was it.... Although at first they weren't keen to give me an appt and as soon as i said I was pregnant they gave me one the next day so you could try that trick!

banana decide which hospital you want to be under then look on their maternity wing website. Mine had a self referral form on line so I bypassed gp completely.

bushprincess · 17/09/2013 21:00

covent so so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best for your remaining embryos , it WILL happen for you and we're all rooting for you. Big hugs.

Welcome banana and great news on the heartbeat chips, sorry about the shits

No symptoms here, feeling distinctly un-pregnant , but should probably enjoy it while it lasts and try not to be paranoid! Night ladies. Safe sleeps.

covent!!!!! Such awful news. Really really sorry to hear about that, especially given your long ttc journey so far. I know from experience how shitty it is. But it's NOT too late. I have faith in those 2 embies and even after that you do have options. I don't know what you're like coping with these things, but I went into a very dark place after my last failed attempt at baby-making and my Top Tip if you're up for suggestions is to go down the alternative route - reflexology, acupuncture, meditation, yoga etc. (as well as medical stuff). Just ignore me if you think it's mumbo jumbo but I figured it can't hurt and it did seem to work for me (or it could have just been the medical intervention I had as I did fall pg straight after having a hysterosalpingogram).
Sending you lots of positive vibes; don't give up hope, and let us know when you get the positive news about your next pregnancy!
xxxx

God I feel sick. Snuggled in new bed watching les mis and eating grapes, fruit is the only thing I can stomach right now :( good sign?

thistlelicker · 17/09/2013 22:51

I have a sudden urge to eat nachos and cheese dip like they have at cinema!!!! I'm meant to be sleeping!!! I find it odd I'm hugging a pillow, it takes pressure from my boobies

NannyPlumForPM · 17/09/2013 22:52

Must be! Though they do say increased hcg (the hormone that makes you feel pukey) is a sign of twins Grin

Morning all. It's stupid question time from me! I've read that we shouldn't use saunas etc because of the heat , hot baths too because it can affect neural tube formation. Despite an open window and lowest tog duvet I am waking every night sweating and of course the early hours are not the best time to be rational! Does anyone else do this or worry about it? I'm not normally so hot. Also at this stage is it ok to be sleeping on my tummy? Guess who is tired and irrational this morning!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 18/09/2013 07:09

Cybercat I slept on my tummy with both DD's u til it felt uncomfortable (approx 4months for me) your body will tsll you when you need to start kn your side. Don't lie kn your back instead as weight of belly can cause you to go light headed from pressure on blood vessels etc.
I have been getting ridiculously hot this time round but didnt with my girls so hoping its a sign of a boy. Dont worry though just relax and enjoy the warmth, its winter soon!
