I now cry at the money supermarket (?) ad when the man wants to run with wolves but there are no wolves so he runs with his cat.

It's the sight of all the cats... I just love them so much

jazzcat28 · 15/09/2013 14:39

thingy where did you get the maternity jumper dresses from? I am more comfy in dresses and leggings than trousers - so wanted to get a few?

littlestgirlguide · 15/09/2013 15:21

Having a very dull day today, my Guides are on a theme park camp out weekend so I spent last night in a tent and all day today in the rain while They go on roller coasters. Boo! Planned and paid for ages ago though do I couldn't back out and stay at home.
Bear that's fab news - a pay rise as well, an cheaper for childcare because less days?
Eeyore I think we are the same height ish, and I'm my first pregnancy I didn't show till really late, try not to worry! Much bigger this time, and ft movement at 17 weeks.
Just eaten a bag of pic and mix and now baby is going a bit mad, must be on a sugar high. Sorry baby!

Thingymajigs · 15/09/2013 15:25

I found a few on eBay but lost out on a couple of auctions. I found a lovely Jojomamanbebe jumper dress but lost that one too. I'm now wondering if I'd be better off buying non maternity jumper dresses in a stretchy material one size up.
Definitely need to invest in maternity tights though, I feel squished.

misskatamari · 15/09/2013 15:51

Lol marzipanned I now have this in my head after your comment about loving cats Grin

Do any of you know if you see the midwife at 20 week scan? Got mine tomorrow (eeeek can't wait!) and (gross tmi sorry) I've had this thick discharge this past week that I wanna check isn't an infection. Rang out of hours gp who said I should be able to get swabs done at the hospital to be on the safe side but I don't know if I will be seeing mw or if ill have to request it specially. Hopefully it's nothing just wanna make sure.

Oooh and I can't remember who recommended Zantac on the fb page but THANK YOU! I took one this morning and have been acid free all day and it is so lovely! Will have to ring the docs and get some prescribed (and check its okay to keep taking them as its so lovely not to feel like my gullet is corroding away!)

It's so rainy and horrid but I've just had a lovely bath and think now I'm gonna make apple crumble and then veg on the sofa and crochet for the rest of the day Smile

Littlebear10 · 15/09/2013 15:59

Having spend the day on the sofa feeling sorry for myself due to various unpleasant pregnancy side effects. I have been very pleased to find this thread and read all about your pregnancies, you all sound so lovely. It has been an eye opener! This is my first so not sure what to expect.

Littlebear10 · 15/09/2013 16:01

Sorry spent not spend.

EeyoreIsh · 15/09/2013 16:04

went for a lovely long walk on the downs this morning, and I've not moved from the sofa since! It's fab to be able to chill guilt free. DH made me a fry up when we got back, and after a scone and jam my tummy has returned. I think I just need to keep eating to give me a bump and stop the worrying Grin

Littlebear10 · 15/09/2013 16:23

Somanychanges - are you near Boxhill? I'm in Dorking so walk the dog there fairly regularly however I'm finding it harder now and get very out of breath. I'm annoyed at how unfit and lazy I have become. I was hoping to be a super fit, non complaining pregnant lady who ate healthily and baked delicious things. The reality is very different: must cancel the gym as it's costing me £45 a month and I haven't been for over 3 months! and have got a M&S meal for supper, oh dear.

Milkandtwo · 15/09/2013 16:27

misskat I didn't see anyone other than the sonographer at my scan... But I have scan at hospital and midwife I see at the midwife centre the other side of town. Still, I don't think you'd see the midwife until your next appt (that was booked at your 16wk appt)
marzipanned you're not alone love! I had 5 in my clan until recently (sob) so have a bit of a reputation. I got so cross with my sister recently when she said 'but now you're pregnant, what are you going to do with the cats?'
[shocked] Just because I have a few (3 now) it doesn't mean they're feral and pooing all over the shop or seeking a small child's eyes to scratch out!

marzipanned · 15/09/2013 16:33

OMG misskat that's me!!! No, just kidding :) But I would totally date her! DH always says it's lucky I married young and he didn't know quite what a loon I was when we first got together otherwise I would most definitely end up a crazy cat lady/this woman:
Am weeping with laughter now!!

Eeyore that sounds blissful.

I picked up a vibrating chair and playmat for £20 today, am loving gumtree so much!

marzipanned · 15/09/2013 16:33

barebranches · 15/09/2013 16:55

champgne i felt like that all last week. it feels weird to not have a headache now! i just keep expecting to walk up with one!

CubanoHabana · 15/09/2013 17:02

Talk about crazy cat lady... My aunty currently has 17 and nearly all are Maine coons so huge! We are struggling with our 2 Maine's being elephants around the house, so I don't know how she manages to sleep!

Somanychanges · 15/09/2013 17:05

Hi Littlebear,

I am in Bookham so really close to BoxHill. My children love it there and so do I as I can let them run free and make as much noise as they want. That hill opposite the Zigzag car park though is a killer, we usually start from there though as good exercise and my DC love to fly their kites at the top of the hill.

When are you due? Where do you go to give birth if you live in Dorking? We only moved to the area at the beginning of the summer and I went with Epsom as it seemed like the closest and most convenient. But I cannot say I am all that impressed so far.

sunflowered · 15/09/2013 17:20

Hi littlebear, welcome to the February club Smile

Barebranches I think I've felt a couple of proper little flutters today too - very exciting!

17+1 (with a bean the size of a sweet potato this week apparently - it's getting big!)

marzipanned · 15/09/2013 17:21

champagne It's rotten I've had a headache 50% of the time for the last month or so, I'm sure it's because I'm not hydrating as much as I need to. Water still tastes a bit vile to me. You're almost half way, almost on the home stretch...

cubano that is amazing! Does she have an enormous house? Does she live alone? Can I go round and make friends with her? I love Maine coons, they are absolutely gorgeous creatures.

bare so exciting!

littlebear welcome, I'm sorry, sometimes I lose track of who's new and who's already been here but isn't very chatty!!

laura0007 · 15/09/2013 17:23

Hi littlebear.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good maternity leggings? Ones that aren't see through! I've ordered from next, asos and mothercare and all are crap quality!

misskatamari · 15/09/2013 17:34

Oh my god I WANT a Maine coon!

I need some leggings too Laura - hate how crap and see through most are so hopefully someone will suggest some good ones Smile

pettyprudence · 15/09/2013 17:41

my new look maternity leggings are really thick BUT I bought them 3 years ago so no idea what the current ones are like. most of the ones my ftirnd gave me are also rubbish apart from a pair from Dorothy perkins but they are probably 3 years old too.

Sassy20 · 15/09/2013 17:43

I've got some mat leggings from h&m - they're not see through and will do but not sure if I'd recommend exactly but they're fine for now.

The Sainsburys TU brand non mat ones are really good, I've no idea if they do mat or not but if not would going a couple of sizes up work?
