Total hoping you get good results.

Lyra happy birthday!

Brighton good luck for your scan.

I also cannot stand dhs deodorant. I make him spray it in the bathroom with the window open.

MummyPig24 · 04/09/2013 09:27

ice I think it's normal to worry ab

Rockchick1984 · 04/09/2013 09:27

Jol the heat from a photocopier damages the image. Although you can take a photo of the scan and just get it printed as normal photos.

MummyPig24 · 04/09/2013 09:29

Sorry!

It's normal to worry. We always wanted a third child, we couldn't do it sooner because of our wedding. Now I'm worried my other two are older and so close that baby will be left out all on its own. Ds will be 6.4 and dd will be on bang on 4, give or take a few days. I'm worried I won't cope or I won't be able to give the big two the attention they need. I've been losing my patience with ds the last few days, he has been truly foul! Lovely this morning though, I will miss him today, I haven't really been away from him for 6 weeks.

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 09:31

Ice I reckon lyra is on the money there. I've certainly had 'what are we doing' flashes that have lasted a day or two. If you've been feeling that way for a while or you do feel that way for a while, chat to your GP or midwife. Everyone I know has had this feeling at some point but if it carries on then don't feel guilty, speak to someone about it. No one will judge you x

commsgirl · 04/09/2013 09:31

Jol I got two for my £5. Think it just depends on your hospital.

brightonbeachbaby14 · 04/09/2013 09:31

Thanks everyone, do you get to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks? Hope so!

I also watched the midwives last night, OH and I slightly traumatised at the rate that one of the babies shot out (this will be our first) OH lovingly described it as being like a sausage meat machine when it's pumping out the meet too fast?! cheers for that love

brightonbeachbaby14 · 04/09/2013 09:31

Sorry, probably too early for comments like that

HotCrossPun · 04/09/2013 09:33

Its because its on heat sensitive paper Jolls it will ruin it if you try to photocopy!

I'm not sure about the paying thing. I got 6 different scan pictures and didn't have to pay for anything. I live in Scotland though, most NHS things are free!

Maybe give them a wee phone to check?

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 09:35

We got one at £3 but they said we pay next time...

FrankelInFoal · 04/09/2013 09:36

Happy birthday Lyra and good luck for your scan Brighton

IceNoSlice · 04/09/2013 09:36

Thanks Rock Lyra Mummy and Lottie. Just having a wobble. Not a feeling I have all the time, just now and then. I think it hasn't helped that I was expecting to hate leaving DS when I went back to work but I've loved it (well, not the leaving him, but the being back at work). He's taken to nursery well and I've enjoyed being a professional person again. Maybe I need to see (and smell!) some beautiful newborns to get me feeling all broody!

IceNoSlice · 04/09/2013 09:40

Sorry, bit self absorbed there - happy birthday Lyra

Jolls the photo paper is poor quality, and our 18 month old pics of DS are now yellowed and faded. So it's a good idea to take a photo of the pic anyway, to keep it. Also, our families are not local so the best way for us to give them a copy was to email it to them. I showed people the pic on my phone didn't want their grubby hands on the actual photo
HTH x

rescoonetwothree · 04/09/2013 09:45

Happy birthday lyra Cake & good luck brighton! don't think we've got that many scans left now have we? still room for twins Wink

mtb that's brilliant haha!

frank thats another theory thats meant to mean boy isn't it haha? my leg hair is growing much much slower than usual though, which is very weird.

rescoonetwothree · 04/09/2013 09:50

also hot amazing about doppler and the stock coming in today! let us know how you get on!

ice i think thats normal isn't it - this is my first so i don't know about your situation but I've been wobbling about if I'm doing the right thing, such a huge huge thing i think its more normal to wobble than not!

commsgirl · 04/09/2013 09:52

Frank Grey Mine seems to have slowed down on my legs too but my eyebrows have a life of their own!

Jolleigh · 04/09/2013 09:54

Note to self: don't photocopy the baby Wink

The family will get photos of the pic. Pretty sure the originals will be dog eared in a week anyway...I'll be constantly staring at it trying to associate it with my own womb lol.

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 09:57

Mine have also slowed but my head hair still malting at a great rate and I need to tackle my tache soon before I look like a circus sideshow.

Pram-wise, I have my heart set on a three wheeler as I harbour running ambitions (nice to have the option) -anyone got any experience or tips?

MummyPig24 · 04/09/2013 10:10

My leg hair growth has slowed down but my head hair is looking distinctly mane like. When I was pregnant with dd my already thick hair thickened up to ridiculous proportions, and I didn't lose it till she was about 2!

FoxMulder · 04/09/2013 10:27

I scanned my scan photo(!) into the computer. It seems fine...

Sarahb8990 · 04/09/2013 10:29

Iv got my scan tomorrow aswel jol. What have you got yours?
My scan pics from my ds who is 5n half are still perfect. We have kept them in a special photo album that has no plastic as that deteriates them aswel. I have to pay £5 for 1 or £10 for 3.

FoxMulder · 04/09/2013 10:29

I'm glad I took today off work. I spewed up breakfast Sad. Oh whyyyy has the puking come back??

HotCrossPun · 04/09/2013 11:25

Fox Scanning is okay, its photocopying that damages them.

My Doppler works!! I thought I might struggle to find the heartbeat because I am a bit of a chunky monkey, but it was loud and clear Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/09/2013 11:32

I was so adamant I wasn't going to get a Doppler. But you lot are swaying me......

HotCrossPun · 04/09/2013 11:44

Maybe My DP is gutted he can't make our extra scan tomorrow. This way he can hear the heartbeat and won't be feeling so left out.

If you can trust yourself not to go bonkers listening in every 2 mins then I would get one!
